Kurama stopped in front of Genbu, his eyes colder than they once were. It was like looking at a different person. Sure I haven't known the guy except for a couple of hours, but it's like I've known the guy for a while. But still, if we had met under different circumstances, and I had to fight him. I wouldn't be alive because I can just see in his eyes, once he's up against someone that is a threat, he won't hesitate to kill them if it means to protect his friends, or himself. I gulped slightly, it's a very good thing that me and him are friends. But even if I could tell he was stronger, I was still worried that Genbu could seriously hurt him. So I bit my lip out of nervousness, and watched Genbu closely. He was smirking at Kurama, thinking of many ways to kill him. And that made me glare at him angrily, I'd like to see him try. But my gaze rested on Kurama again.


"I hope he'll be OK." I said a little nervously, he better be OK, or I'll go in and kick Genbu's ass for him. No one messes with my new friends. Minus Hiei. Well, I guess I'll help him, but if he acts like a jerk again, then bye bye shorty.


"Obviously you are underestimating Kurama. Do you know why I chose him to be my partner?" Hiei asked, I looked at him to continue and I shook my head. "To avoid fighting him my self. Watch, he is more cut-throat than I am in battle, and unbelievably precise." He explained, I turned back to Kurama, I didn't expect him to be more cut-throat than Hiei 0o0.


"Wow, I never would've imagined, he seems so sweet." I said, yep I am definitely happy that me and him are friends. But I stopped my surprised state when Kuwabara spoke again.


"I don't know guys, he's still a talking rock." Kuwabara looked at Genbu, still freaked out about how Genbu was in fact a rock.


"What did I already tell you, Kuwabara?" I asked with a -__-;;; face.


"What?" He blinked.


I stared at him with my right eye twitching. "Really?!" I shouted with an anime mad face, but sighed, it won't help anyone if I yell at him. He will never understand.


"Sir, the first move is yours." Kurama said, breaking me from my 'I hate Kuwabara moment', and I looked at him. He was in the same position, not even having a weapon to protect him. But I have to take Hiei's word, Kurama will definitely win.


Genbu just laughed evilly as the two stared at each other. Or so I thought, I saw Genbu's tail going through a hole in the ground, and I could tell it was getting longer. I gasped along with Yusuke, he must have saw it too. "Hey! Stone Man is doing something freaky with his tail!" Yusuke and I shouted, trying to warn Kurama before it was too late.


Kurama's eyes widened slightly at the sound of that. He quickly looked over his shoulder, seeing Genbu's tail coming up out of the ground and going towards him so fast, I don't even think I would've gotten out of the way. Kurama gasped and jumped as the tail shot towards him. But he couldn't get out of the way fast enough. Genbu's tail sliced his stomach, blood flying out of the wound. Kurama let out a small grunt of pain and closed his eyes as he began to fall to the ground. I was this - close to stepping into this fight right then and there and killing Genbu myself.


"Kurama!" Me and Yusuke shouted worriedly, and I glared at Genbu. Kurama better kill him before I beat him to it.


Kurama looked at Genbu, ignoring us, as he landed on his left knee. His eyes getting that cold look to them again, he was getting serious now. Genbu pulled his tail out of the ground and laughed at Kurama. "Thanks to my bodies structure, I can become one with any type of rock. With some rearranging, I can make any stone my tail." Genbu explained to all of us, but still looked at Kurama. I guess that would be stupid to look away from your opponent, but hey, this guy looks pretty stupid to begin with.


I went wide eyed, and looked around as I processed the information. "As things are right now, I think we're fucked." I said with a sigh, now my whole awesome plan of me rescuing Kurama if he needed help was now smashed to a million pieces. Damn it.


Kuwabara agreed with me. "Yeah, we're in trouble."


"And since this whole chamber is made of stone, I have you surrounded. There is no where to run!" Genbu shouted, smirking that stupid smirk even wider. That made Kurama glare at him with his striking emerald green eyes, and he got up holding his stomach.


"Oh man, now he's wounded." Yusuke said wide eyed, I nodded even though I knew that since a few seconds ago when it happened. In plain view. So I'm saying, they should have fucking seen it! -__-*


"We need to get him some help." Kuwabara said worriedly.


Kurama looked at us slightly over his shoulder. "There is no need, I've been hurt, but he will not take me by surprise again." Kurama said, smiling slightly at us to show he was all right and he meant it. Well sorry, but that didn't really convince me.


Genbu started to laugh, again, making every eye go to his form. "Wait until you see the full state of my power, then you won't be so confident." With that being said, Genbu started to melt into the ground, giving Kurama a look that said 'good lucky trying to get me now'.


"He's gonna put him self into the floor." Yusuke said, his eyes narrowing slightly in confusion. Wondering what the hell Genbu was up to, and I was doing the same thing.


Kuwabara looked over at Kurama, his eyes wide with fear and desperation. "Do something Kurama!" He shouted, his tone matching his expression perfectly.


I watched with a glare as Genbu completely went into the ground and I narrowed my eyes at Hiei. "Are you sure Kurama can handle this? He's already hurt, and you said that this would be easy for him." I asked, Hiei side-glanced at me and nodded. I gave him an unsure look before turning back to the fight.


Kurama looked around as well as us. "Now he can be anywhere." Yusuke growled with a glare. It was kind of heard when you can't really see in the areas that are dark. The light thing Yusuke did, didn't really help all that much.


"I can't even sense Genbu's energy." Kuwabara said, looked prettified, feeling like a sitting duck. Poor, poor Ningen, I feel so bad for him.


It all was quiet, no one was talking anymore, that would just make looking for Genbu harder. But after a couple of seconds, that changed. Genbu suddenly shot out of the ground, which was behind Kurama. Kurama turned with a glare. "Same old trick." He said as Genbu brought his fist down towards him. Kurama jumped back but was heading towards Genbu's tail that he made out of the stone floor.


"Look out Kurama!" I shouted, although Genbu wasn't going to let him go, he aimed another punch at Kurama as his tail drew closer to Kurama's back.


"He's getting attack by both sides!" Kuwabara shouted scared for the well being of our new comrade.


But luckily Kurama dodged Genbu's fist and jumped out of the way of his tail. He landed on his feet, and turned to see Genbu, but he had disappeared. "Where did he go?" I murmured as I scanned the area with my red eyes. I heard Kurama gasp and my eyes darted to him. Genbu shot out of the ground in front of him and went to punch him. But Kurama reacted fast and back flipped away from the attack. However, like before Genbu's tail was right in front of Kurama. Kurama moved to the side, narrowly being hit by the attack and he landed on the ground once again. Kurama turned to Genbu as he sank into the ground, again, I was starting to get annoyed, this guy is a coward. I mean seriously, he comes out for one second and then POOF, he's gone the next! My fight better not be like this.


Genbu laughed suddenly, filling the whole room with the sound, making it hard for us to find out where the sound was coming from. "You'll never defeat me by just running away."


"Yes, Genbu, I believe your right." Kurama said with a smirk, flipping his hair and grabbing something. I stared, what did he get. I soon got my answer when he pulled out a...ROSE?!


I sweat dropped and asked. "The hell?"


Yusuke shrugged and asked just as confused as me, if that was even possible. "A flower? What the hell?"


"Now that's weird, if he's trying to win the beast over I don't think that's a good idea." Kuwabara said, making me sweat drop at him. Right, he wants to win over the youkai that wants to kill him. Good thinking Kuwabara. But I stopped my Kuwabara bashing when I heard Hiei chuckle again. I looked at him a little freaked, OK the first time was a miracle and all, but now this is getting scary.


"Its no ordinary flower." Kurama said as the rose's petals began to fall off, revealing a whip. "Rose whip!" Kurama shouted snapping it, in a pretty dramatic moment. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean pretty because there was so many rose petals falling.


I cocked my head to the side in wonder. "Its cool and everything but won't it just break?" I asked still confused, Kurama chuckled a little but shook his head. I opened my mouth to say something else, but realized everything smelt like roses.


"Well everything's coming up roses." Yusuke said staring wide eyed at the thousands of petals that were falling.


"It smells girly, I don't think I like it. -.-" Kuwabara said annoyed, I rolled my eyes at him, I liked it. I mean, what's wrong with roses? They were my favorite type of flower, my favorite type of rose was an orange one. They are so pretty! Why am I describing a flower I like anyway? Moving on...


"Oh sure, he should be a tough guy like you and be obsessed with kittens." Yusuke said before laughing, I started to laugh as well.


"Your obsessed with cats? Wow your like a old lonely lady." I said, me and Yusuke then broke down into fits of laughter. Kuwabara blushed slightly, and glared at us. But come on, that was fucking hilarious!


"Shut up!" Kuwabara shouted at us, Hiei just rolled his eyes at our childishness.


"You still don't understand your problem, what can a fancy whip do if you can't tell where I am?" Genbu's voice asked, he was trying to taunt Kurama and make him so mad he wouldn't think clearly about his next moves. Good going Genbu, just like every other villain out there.


"Yes, not being able to find you is a problem." Kurama said calmly.


"You just can't be scared can you? Well, I'll soon change that." Genbu threatened, now me and Yusuke stopped laughing. It kind of didn't seem right for us to laugh while Kurama was still in danger. So I held a serious look on my face.


*This is bad, not that I doubt Kurama or anything but, we're at a big disadvantage right now.* I thought narrowing my eyes slightly. I mean, look around us, were surround by this guy's frickening body or something like that. Ew, now that I think about it, I kinda don't want to stand on anything anymore. I shuttered at the thought, getting weird looks from the boys.


"What's wrong with you?" Yusuke asked.


I shook my head. "You don't really want to know." I answered, looking back at the fight to make the bad thoughts go away T.T


Kurama was silent for a bit, and we did too. He was probably trying to hear for Genbu again, or at least that's what I thought. So I waited, holding my breath even thought I knew I would need to breath in a matter of seconds. But I stopped my thoughts when Kurama opened his eyes and brought up his whip. "Found you!" He shouted, and a second later Genbu came flying out of the ceiling towards him.


"Its over, thee thorns on Kurama's whip can slice through any substance, even solid stone." Hiei explained with a smirk, my mouth opened in awe.


"Wow, that's so cool!" I shouted, that whip was really awesome.


"Rose Whip Lash!" Kurama shouted, swinging his whip in every direction. Genbu being caught in the array of thorns and such, causing his body to fall to pieces on the floor. Kurama landed with Genbu's parts falling behind him, and he seemed calmer now instead of hostile.


"Ugh, how did you find me!" Genbu shouted, my eyes widened and stepped back, how could he still talk! Isn't your voice box suppose to be in your throat or something? And if so, then this is just defying the law of physics! My god the world is ending now! Hiei laughing, and decapitated heads are now talking, this is just great! I blame Kuwabara!


"Your smell. After filling the room with the rose's sweet aroma, your putrid odor was easy for me to find." Kurama explained with a small smile on his face, Genbu gasped before his head fell to the side, appearing to be dead.


"Well that's no fair, why is it that none of my fights can end that quick?" Yusuke asked as all of us -minus Hiei- smiled at Kurama.


"You beat him in one blow, now that's what I call a win!" Kuwabara


shouted. "Nice going dude! That was amazing!" I shouted jumping up in down like I was high off sugar. Aw! Look what I do, now I want sugar! Wait, bad Kira, bad! No thinking about food, no!


"You bakas, it only looked easy because Kurama was the one fighting. If you had fought, you would've died in under a minute." Hiei said closing his eyes, I got an anime vein glared at him.


"Jerk." I mumbled.


"Why does everything you say make me want to bash your face in?!" Kuwabara shouted holding up his right fist at Hiei.


"Hn." Hiei said side glancing at him, not really caring. And I kind of sided with him, it's Kuwabara we're talking about. And I could just tell he was going to tell us something useless. Why? I just have a feeling that's all.


"Listen I happened to be placed third in master Genkai's fighting tournament, the only ones that beat me were Yusuke and an evil monster." Kuwabara exclaimed with a smile on his face.


"Whats your point?" Me and Hiei asked, I sweat dropped at him, why does he sound so happy about that? And I told you, he told us something useless.


"Why you!" Kuwabara shouted grabbing onto Hiei white collar, getting his fist ready to pound Hiei's face in.


"Children, would you mind saving it for the bad guys?!" Yusuke shouted annoyed, I sighed at Kuwabara's behavior, he was really making it easy for me and Hiei to make fun of him. But I stopped and listened to Yusuke, I wanted this mission over with, my arms and legs still feel tired after holding up that damn ceiling for like 10 minutes or something like that.


"Ok, but he started it." Kuwabara said like a five year old.


"Mature Kuwabara, very mature." I said rolling my eyes at him.


"I guess we go up the stairs." Yusuke said to Kurama, he nodded and me and Yusuke started to walk. Kurama started to follow, but gasped slightly, and his eyes once again narrowed into a gold stare. That made us both stop and face him again, raising an eyebrow at him. "Its seems my fight is not yet over." Kurama explained when he saw our expression and me, Yusuke and Kuwabara gasped in shock.


Just as Kurama said, Genbu's body started to put it's self together. His arms and legs were now fully back together, and his head was now currently being fused back to his neck. "Well this is fricken perfect!" I shouted annoyed as Genbu was now completely put back together.


"Uh guys, I think he's putting him self back together!" Kuwabara shouted, I sweat dropped and turned to him. I think we know that since, well it just happened in front of us!


"Kuwabara, just don't talk." I said to him with an annoyed look.


"You can disassemble me all you like, I'll just come back together every time. Actually it makes for a very nice attack!" I heard Genbu say, making me face him again. I saw him detach his hands, arms and head, making them fly towards Kurama.


Kurama rose his whip again, getting in the same stance he did before. "Rose Whip Lash!" He shouted again, his whip flying in different directions. Genbu's hands, arms and face were once again cut up making, me, Yusuke and Kuwabara cheer. Please let him be dead now!


"Right in the head, lets see him come back now!" Yusuke shouted, but Genbu just laughed and started to reform again. Fuck!


"There you go Yusuke, he came back." I said with a sweat drop, Yusuke turned to me, opening his mouth to retort, but he didn't get to say anything to me.


"Want to try again?" Genbu asked from behind Kurama, laughing at his failed attempt. Kurama turned around and glared at him coldly. Genbu needs to shut up now if he knows whats good for him. If I was Kurama, I would be fucking ripping out this guys rock heart, if he even had a heart that is. I know all us youkai do, but ours don't beat. But that's beside the point.


"Ok that was luck." Yusuke said looking at me, I smirked and shook my head at him. It wasn't luck, I'm just that good.


"Lets end this, how do you like to be stoned to death!" Genbu shouted breaking apart once again, flying at Kurama. Kurama dodged some of them, but something caught his eye. He looked around and saw a flashing red stone a few feet away from him in the stones that were flying at him.. Kurama ducked to the ground as the rocks flew past him and began to form into a circle.


"They're coming back!" I warned.


"Kurama!" Yusuke shouted as the rocks started to fly at Kurama again.


Kurama looked back and saw the red glowing stone again, his eyes narrowed onto it. He got up and faced them, not looking like he was going to dodge these this time. I went wide eyed, what was he doing? Trying to get killed?! "What are you doing?! Trying to get killed?!" Yusuke shouted completely shocked, his eyes wide as well as mine.


"My words exactly." I said, staring at him weirdly and moving away from here. That was a little too creepy for my liking, but I looked back at the fight.


Kurama blocked his face as the rocks started to pelt him, making cuts all over his arms and his torso. He shot his hand into the pile of flying rocks. Ok, seriously why was he doing this?! But I stopped my confused thoughts when I saw him grab a glowing red stone and kneel down the to ground in pain. Clutching the stone in his hand tightly, and he let a small smile go on his lips.


"Your not even fighting back now, those wounds must have made you insane!" Genbu shouted, but Kurama only chuckled before standing up and facing him. "Yes, I'm sure of it, now your laughing at nothing! Wait! How did you get on the ceiling!?" Genbu shouted confused, I busted out laughing with Yusuke and Kuwabara.


"Whats wrong!?" Genbu asked.


"I've heard of brass balls before, but come on!" Yusuke and I shouted laughing hystaricly, Genbu's face was where his *cough* well you know and his arms were on the right side of his body. And his back was where his torso was suppose to be. To put it simply, he was all scrambled up and it was hilarious.


"Yeah, I'd like to see him use the toilet!" Kuwabara shouted through his laughter, I was laughing so hard on was on the ground crying. Holding my sides as they burned in pain.


"Ah! What did you do to me!?" Genbu shouted at Kurama.


Kurama looked up, smiling slightly before holding up the red glowing stone. "I took this." He said.


"Ah! Whats that!?" Genbu shouted, now me, Yusuke and Kuwabara had calmed down. Also wanting to know what the red glowing stone was about. It seemed pretty important to Kurama when he was practically risking his live by getting pelted with rocks just to get to it.


"I believe this is the equivalent of the hypothalamus portion of your brain. It regulates all the functions of your body, including the process of putting you back together." Kurama explained.


"What?" Genbu asked, still not getting it, I rolled my eyes at him. Wow, way to know your body there Genbu.


"It seems to relay a energy signal when you separate, making it very easy to find." Kurama continued, his explanation. Genbu's eyes widened in realization and fear, now that the most important part of his body was in the hands of his enemies. Not a very good thing.


"No! You can't do this! Give that back to me!" Genbu shouted, Kurama smiled before throwing it into the air. "Give it back!" Genbu shouted again, man he was like a 5 year old wanting back their toy!


"Farewell!" Kurama shouted with a glare, raising his whip again before slicing the red rock in half. Genbu shouted out in pain, cracks beginning to show on his form. Yellow light broke through and engulfed Genbu's form before exploding, making all the rock that was Genbu turn into nothing but dust. And it rained over all of us, and I shook my head, getting it out of my hair. EW.


"I don't think he liked that!" Kuwabara shouted laughing.


"Good work, Kurama." Me and Yusuke said turning towards him. Kurama smiled back at us, now finally being able to calm down now that his battle was over. But we stopped smiling when Kurama gasped in pain, clutching his stomach as he fell to his knees.


"Are you OK?" I asked kneeling down next to him, but he didn't answer me. The pain was probably preventing him from talking. Good observation me, but I still stick to what I said.


"If Kurama is injured, we're going to have some problems." Hiei said, noticing that the wound Kurama had was worse than he originally thought. So take that Hiei!


Kurama looked up at Yusuke, smiling slightly in an apologetic way. "I'm sorry Yusuke." Kurama apologized, aw, see Kurama is way nicer! That is why he will be my best-est buddy because he's not stupid like Kuwabara and mean like Hiei, so take that both of you!


"Nah, you've earned your self a break anyways." Yusuke said waving it off with a smile.


"Yeah, I'll handle the next one." Kuwabara said to Yusuke, I raised my eyebrow at him, was he serious? Kuwabara would surely die if he went up against these things. And if my hunch is correct, Genbu wasn't even that powerful compared to the others. Let's hope that I'm wrong.


Yusuke turned slightly, looking towards the stair case ahead of us. "Come on guys lets go." He said, we all nodded and started heading up towards the tower. Not knowing there was another Saint Beast already prepared for us. Great.
