Hi everybody,well now Its time for my daily rant!WHY THE HECK IS KUWABARA SO UGLY!!!???Ok seriously all of the guys in Yu Yu are sooooooo hott except for Kuwabara.What was the creator thinking!!!???I mean come on,you have sexily sexy swordsman,Hiei,cutesily cutie pie fox-boy Kurama,and even tough guy kinda sorta nice looking Yusuke!Was the creator on crack or something when the idea for Kuwabara came up!?I mean seriously,who the heck would have thought that a character as ugly as Kuwabara would come to mind other than In Nightmares!!???Ok,this has been your daily rant with me,Rain.
Hiei: Hn,you make a good point.

Hiei: Yes,I have the urge to burn my eyes out whenever I see that huge oaf.

Chapter 5:The Kitsune made me do it!
Yumiko groggily sat up,blinking,trying to wake fully up.She yawned.Where the heck was she?Oh...yeah.She was at Kuwabaka's house.She thought for a minute,and looked around.She was sitting on a windowsill, halfway out the window.How did she get there?Oh yeah,she was looking at the stars' last night.AT least..she thought it was last night.She looked at the floor,as she had felt something slide off of her when she sat up.
She picked it up.It was....Hiei's cloak..
She blushed.Had Hiei covered her up?She shook her head,trying to remember what all had happened since the return from Maze Castle.She,Kurama,and Hiei had made it back through a portal,dragging Yusuke and Kuwabara with them.Then they had decided on staying at Kuwabara's,as it was the closest.Yumiko knew Kuwabara's elder sister,Shizuru,and told her that Yusuke and Kuwabara had gotten in fight with some punks from another school.The last thing she remembered was going into the living room to an open window,sitting on the sill,and checking out the stars...
then she must have passed out.Yumiko tied Hiei's cloak around her waist.
Yumiko looked outside.It was still dark.Maybe she hadn't been sleeping that long.''You awake?''Yumiko turned to see Shizuru walking into the room.She nodded.''Its five in the morning,Yumi.''Yumiko yawned.No wonder she was still tired.''And its Tuesday.''
Yumiko's eyes widened.''Tuesday!?But that means I've been asleep--''Kurama walked into the room.''Two and a half days,Yumi.''Yumiko looked at Kurama,wearing his pink school uniform.''I guess I missed school then,huh?''she said sheepishly.Kurama nodded.''Its okay,I called Atsuko,and she called in for you and Yusuke until you were feeling better.She also told your parents that you were staying with her.''Yumiko sat up.''Well I feel like going to school today.I may like to fight as much as Yusuke,but I also try to get my schoolwork done.I'm a straight A student dontcha know.''Kurama tilted his head.''No,I did not know that.You don't seem like the type of person.''
Yumiko sweatdropped.''Thanks,I'll remember that compliment always.By the way Kurama,Its PARENT,not parents.My..my dad died a long time ago.''Kurama looked at her with sympathy.''Oh,I'm terribly sorry.''She hopped off of the sill.''It's not your fault...I smell coffee.''Shizuru handed her a cup.''You drink coffee?''
She was answered as Yumiko downed the whole cup.
''Yeah,but I prefer Hazelnut.Oh!Or Amaretto!The Mocha isn't bad either.....but I occansionally have a cappouchino,either mocha or caramel....''She went through a whole list of caffinated drinks.''But....coffee with straight cream is ok too.''Kurama and Shizuru did classic crashes.Yumiko didn't seem to notice.''Got anymore?''(A/N,Shes just like me!I love coffee!Its soooo good!BTW,I have tried at least 20 different kinds!)
After drinking two pots of coffee by herself,Yumiko stepped out the door.''Where are you going?''Kurama asked.Yumiko smiled sweetly.''I said I was going to school.I have to get some things,and I need to change clothes.''Kurama nodded.''Yes,I suppose you do need your uniform.''Yumiko raised an eyebrow then laughed.''Uniform!?Who said anything about a uniform!?I kick ass,not run around in a little skirt acting perfect like Keiko.''
Yumiko took two more steps then turned on her heel and pulled Hiei's cloak from around her waist.''By the way,where is Hiei?I...uh...need to give this back to him.''Yumiko said blushing.Kurama smiled.''He left yesterday, and hasn't been back since.I didn't even know he covered you up with that...hm,doesn't seem like Hiei.''Yumiko noticed a gleam in Kurama's eye. ''Kurama,you aren't hiding anything are you?''Kurama made to shut the door.''Of course not!Why would I do that!?"He slammed the door.
A burst of wind almost made Yumiko fall off the porch.''Hmpf...I don't like how he's acting,it makes me feel like he's hiding something.''She re-tied the cloak around her waist.Yumiko started to run down the street.''Ok,home is only two blocks away.I can make it there and then to school in no time!''
Yumiko made it to her house in record time.She stared up at the two story now shared by her mother and her.She walked up the steps and tried to open the door.It was a no-go.She groaned.
She then looked up at the huge tree growing next to her window.She got a hair-brained notion.She walked up to the tree and looked up.Well,it had a couple of sturdy branches,It shouldn't be that hard to climb...She started by grabbing the branch lowest to the ground and pulling herself up.She then crawled to the center of the tree and grabbed each of the little sections going up,and made it up in no time.She crawled onto the branch by her window.Carefully she slid the window open.She grabbed onto the window pane,but felt herself slip.
Both of her feet hanging down,Yumiko desperately tried to pull herself up and into the window.That high of a drop would hurt...then she remembered the kind of excersise they'd made her do at her old school.Chin up's!(Trust me those hurt! T_T)She pulled her chin up,and felt herself go up and over the pane,plopping down on her floor.She looked around.Whew!She'd just made it!She had forty-five minutes to get to school!
She rushed to her closet and gasped.What to wear!!!!!??? (I have this problem all of the time! T.T)
She pulled everything out and onto the floor,she'd clean up the mess later.She looked around in the bottom drawer and found her favorite pair of pants,they were black widelegs that were made of a cottony material,and were three times too big,not to mention the buckles all the way down the sides.She'd have to wear a belt with those..Aww screw it she didn't have time.She instead chose a pair of black pants similar to the ones she'd had on a few days ago.She picked out a shirt with a Nirvana logo on it(My favorite band!)and pulled the pants on.Hey!She looked damn good!She then swept her hair into a loose ponytail at the nape of her neck,and put on her black leather wristbands,and her talon necklace.She looked down at the clothes shed taken off earlier and spotted Hiei's cloak.She stared at it for a minute then pulled it on.She smirked.He,its not like he was around to tell her not to.
She looked at the clock again,and saw that she had twenty minutes.Hmm,that was ok---WHOA!TWENTY MINUTES!!!??Her eyes bugged out.She grabbed her bag and ran down the stairs,careful not to wake her mother,who was definitely still sleeping.
Yumiko stumbled on the last stair,causing her to crash."UH!I don't have time for this!"She unlocked the door,and ran out,making it to the school grounds with less than a minute till classes started.She made it to the office,gasping for breath.A large man with blonde hair patted her on the back.''There there,are you okay?''Yumiko smiled.''Yeah,thanks..uh...sir.I'm looking for the principal,I'm new here and I need my schedule.''
He smiled and held out his hand.''I'm the principle here.My name is Mr.Takenaka.Tell me your name and I'll find your file.By the way,where is your uniform?''Yumiko took his hand and shook it.''Well I am glad I found you so soon.My uh...uniform hasn't come in yet.''He nodded.''Okay,thats a good reason.Name?''
''Yumiko Urameshi.''His eyes bugged out and he fell over.''You've got to be kidding me.''She grinned.''Nope,not kidding.''He dusted himself off and got back up.''School may be hard for you here,being Yusuke's cousin.I'm afraid you have the teachers that most despise him for two of your morning classes.''
Yumiko groaned as he handed her the schedule.''So,where is Yusuke anyway?''Yumiko sidestepped Takenaka.''He's....uh...sick..I gotta go..now...late.....so....umm..bye!!!!"She fled out the door,leaving a confused Takenaka.
Yumiko ran into the hallway.Whew,now to find her first hour.The schedule read,''Mr. Iwamoto room 115...''
Yumiko sighed as she walked into the hallway labeled,100 hall.She grinned.''Who knows,this might be fun....''She opened the door to Iwamoto's classroom.
Mr. Iwamoto looked sharply up.''Who are you and why are you disturbing my class.''Yumiko didn't like the look of this guy.''I am disturbing your class,oh mighty Iwamoto,bacuse I'm new here and I've been assigned to it.My name is Yumiko Urameshi.''Everyone's jaw dropped at the thought of her being related to Yusuke.
Yumiko gave a mischievious grin and turned to the class.''Yes,I am related to Yusuke,'the Great Urameshi.'I'm his cousin,and by the way,I hit a heck of a lot harder.''Everyone returned to looking at their books.Mr. Iwamoto gave Yumiko a look of utter hatred.
''Miss Urameshi,take a seat over there by the window,and next time I see you,I expect you in uniform.''Yumiko looked over at her seat,finding it to be right next to Keiko.''Hey Keiko,what's happenin'?''
Keiko looked up from her book and smiled.''Nothing much,how are you Yumi?''Yumiko plopped in the seat.
''I'm great,except I have a feelin no one likes me.Curse that Yusuke!!I'll never get a boyfriend now!!!"Keiko smiled.''Haha,well you know I'm still kind of mad about you guys ditching me at the theater....''Yumikos eyes widened.''Its not what you think--I-I-mean---''Keiko put a hand up.''It's okay,Yusuke just dragged you along with him,right?''Yumiko nodded.Whew,that was easier than she thought it would be.
After her first and second periods were over,Yumiko started getting used to the glares of the other people.
She walked into her third hour which was with a chipmunk toothed man named Mr. Akashi.He glared at her too.''Well well,if it isn't the already infamous MISS Urameshi.''Yumiko grinned.''Yep,that's me.''
Yumiko took a seat at the back,with an empty chair to her right,and a window to her left.Mr. Akashi was called out into the hall.Yumiko stared out the window.Mr. Akashi came back into the room followed by a short 'boy' with black hair.Yumiko still stared out the window.
''It seems we have another new student today,class,this is Hiei Jaganshi.''Yumiko whipped her head around as fast as lightning.Hiei stood there in an outfit similar to Kuwabaras,shirt undone with a white beater underneath.He had his book tucked under his arm and had his hands in his pockets.Yumiko fell out of her chair.Mr. Akashi looked back at her with an evil smirk.
''Return to your seat,Ms. Urameshi.''Yumiko nodded dumbly and sat back down,and Hiei joined her at the back of the room.Yumiko looked dumbstruck.<Hn,I see you've been getting along well.Your injuries are healed.>Yumiko nearly jumped as she looked at Hiei.<Y-you're a telepath?>Hiei smirked.<Yes,yes I am.And before you ask why I'm here...the kitsune made me do it.>Yumiko tilted her head.<Whaaat?>Hiei shook his head.<Kurama,you idiot.He thinks I should learn something about the human world.>Yumiko smiled.<Oh.....I get it........Hey,you wanna sit with me at lunch?>Hiei turned his face to the front of the class so as not to be suspicious.<Sure,why not.Are you enjoying the use of my cloak?>Yumiko looked down and realized she was wearing it.<Ohhhh this old thing?Sure,it makes a nice blanket too,but you must have known that when you draped it over me.>
Yumiko grinned as she saw the heat creep up Hiei's face,and she felt it creep up her own.God,whoever created blushing was the devil!
Yumiko and Hiei walked to lunch together,ignoring the angry glares of many girl passersby.One however,a ditsy little blonde named Kayla,decided to make a move on Hiei.(GOD I HATE KAYLA!SHES THIS CHIC AT MY SCHOOL WHO I WANT TO KILLLLLLLLL!!!!)Kayla ran through the hall and 'tripped',clutching at Hiei's arm.Down they both went.Kayla looked into his eyes.''Oh I'm so sorry,I just needed to get somewhere really fast!Oh are you ok?''Hiei grumbled,got up,and dusted himself off.''No,but I will be once you kindly take your leave.''
Kayla looked furious,and Yumiko fought to keep back laughter.Yumiko approached Hiei.''Shall we?''Hiei nodded and they walked towards the cafeteria.Kayla stood in the hallway as they left with a pissed off look on her face.''Oooooh!How'd she get her claws in him so fast!?I swear I'll make her life a living hell!"Yumiko poked her head back around the corner.''Ohh,I'm so scared.What are you going to do?Say the word 'like totally' over and over again until my head bursts?"Hiei grabbed her arm and pulled her back around,but not before seeing Kayla ready to scream.Yumiko disappeared around the corner in fits of laughter.
Hiei smirked.''Nice one.''Yumiko smiled.''Thank you,thank you,you've been a wonderful audience.''And apparently,there WAS an audience,as everyone walking past them had seen the ''Kayla incident.''Yumiko smiled,''Come on,lets get a move on people,nothin' to see here,break it up,break it up!"
