*Yawn....*Okay I haven't updated in a long time so please don't throw things at me!*ducks as an apple flys through the air*HAHAHHA YOU MISSED!Well as you may or may not have noticed....I have put up two CYOA's,and I have a FF7 story that I've been working on for quite some time.WHAT'S A GIRL TO DO!?So many ideas,so few ways to write them down.*sigh*Maaaaan.Oh well,whatever.Not like I care anyways....Okay who am I kidding.Please read and review peoples cuz I've gotten lots of reviews on my others stories and barely 40 on this one...man.Oh well...I've been working on ABSW for a long time and I only have like 42...man that sucks.

*Crystal ball shows Hiei strapped to a bed and gagged,with A-chan coming ever closer...*
Rain and Kurama: AHHHHHHHH!
*Rain chucks the ball across the room*

Chapter 8:Toguro's Invite and Hiei's Training
Yumiko stepped out onto the sidewalk and looked back at the school.Hiei hadn't been there in three days...she wondered what was up.She heard a noise in the bushes behind her,and quickly moved to the right,as Yusuke came barreling down into the ground.She raised an eyebrow.''Trying to off me,are ya?''Yusuke looked up at her with a sheepish grin.''Nope,I just wanna see if I can scare twice the people with you around.''Yumiko sighed and used her puppy eyes.''You wanted to experiment with me?Yusuke,cousin dear,I'm hurt deeply!''
He jumped back up and grabbed her hand.''Come on!It'll be fun.''Yumiko laughed a little and followed Yusuke down the street to where all the shops in the area began.And once they started,they never ended.This WAS Tokyo however.And everyone tended to know someone on the street. ''Yusuke!Yumiko!''Keiko flagged them down a little ways ahead.Keiko pointed to a building that's side had fallen down a little.Keiko nodded toward it.''Weird,huh?It just started falling to pieces...''
Yusuke seemed to notice something they did not,and edged away,Yumiko not far behind,Keiko still checking out the falling structure.
Yumiko gasped as she turned her head and saw a familiar body structure sitting on a morotcycle.She ran at him,but was held back by Yusuke.''TOGURO!''she snarled.The man smirked back at her.''Yumiko,long time no see.''Yusuke clenched a fist.''I thought me and Kuwabara offed you!''Toguro almost laughed.''No,not as weak as you are.I merely pretended.''Yusuke growled.''What do you want?''Toguro signaled to him to follow.All Yumiko could do was watch as he was led away by a former captor of hers,watch and wait for Yusuke to come back.

Yumiko's face paled as Yusuke related to her what Toguro had told him.''Fight in a Tournament,with a bunch of demons?''He nodded and Yumiko sank back into the couch at Yusuke's apartment.''Wow...I never expected this to happen...''Yusuke nodded.''So if I don't come back...you understand.''Yumiko got up.''All I understand is that I'm coming with you!''
Yusuke hopped up as well.''NO WAY!We are NOT taking you!''Yumiko stared him down.''You said there were teams of six.With me,you'll only need one more fighter.''(A/N Here's one of the plot changes... -__-;;)
Yusuke sighed and sat back down.''Fine..but we're putting you in for some major training.We already know you can match Hiei's speed,but you seriously lack in the Spirit Energy department.''Yumiko nodded and walked to the door.''I trust the others already know about this?''Yusuke nodded as she closed the door softly behind her and started the uneventful trek home.
'Two blocks to go...'she thought as she rounded another corner.An arm reached down and pulled her into the tree above.She nearly fainted.''HIEI!''Yumiko peeped,embracing him tightly.He embraced her back,then loosely pushed her away a bit.Yumiko tilted her head and Hiei looked strangely at her.''Yumiko,are you sure you want to fight in this thing?''Yumiko smiled a bit.''How'd you know I was gonna fight?''Hiei's eyes bored into her.''News travels VERY fast with Botan's big mouth.Now answer,are you POSITIVE you want to fight?''Yumiko nodded.''Absolutely sure.But I'm gonna need some help training,Hiei.I don't know how to use Spirit Energy,and I highly doubt I can get by with speed and a sword alone.''
Hiei looked away and then looked back at her.''Of course I'll help.I'll train you to the best of my abilities.I was supposed to help Kurama train the baka,but he can handle it one his own.''Yumiko looked gratefully at Hiei.''Thank you Hiei...this means a lot,you know?I really want to help you guys,and I SERIOUSLY want to injure Toguro.He'll be soory he EVER messed with me.I can promise him that much already.''
Hiei hopped down from the tree with Yumiko in his arms.Yumiko smiled gratefully as Hiei used his demon speed,getting her home within less than a minute.He set her down on the porch.''Get some rest,Yumiko...you'll need it to endure the kind of training I can give you.''Yumiko nodded and brushed her lips against his.Hiei smiled a genuine smile and returned the favor,both of them teasing the other but not actually kissing.Yumiko back away with a mischievious glint in her eye,and opened the door behind her,then slipped inside and shut it quietly behind her again.Hiei vanished in a black blur,left for all to wonder where he disappeared to this time.
The next morning Yumiko woke and brushed her hair,packed a bag full of suitable training clothes,then ushered a lie to her mother about a youth camp she was to attend in Kyoto.Her mother nodded and said that she'd see her when she got back,whenever that was.Yumiko gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and ran outside,knowing that Hiei would be there shortly.And sure enough,she felt herself being swept up in a torrent of cool air,and quickly wrapped her arms around the neck she knew was Hiei's.''I knew you'd be here.''He looked down at her.''Was there any doubt?'' ''None at all.''
Yumiko and Hiei made good time to a training ground on Genkai's land which was just outside the city.Hiei sat her down on the grass.''You already know what spirit energy is...now I will teach you to use it.''He closed his eyes for a minute and Yumiko could see him radiating with black energy.''This is my spirit energy...now search for your own,Yumiko.''Yumiko nodded and closed her eyes.
She felt a hum deep inside of her,and tugged on the bits of energy.She opened her eyes and found a black orb in her hand.Hiei raised an eyebrow.''That certainly isn't normal for a human....''Yumiko smiled.''Am I normal now?I take that as an insult!''
Hiei rolled his eyes.''Can you form any weapons from the orb?''Yumiko looked down at the orb in her hands.''Uhhh I'll try.''She closed her eyes again ,then opened them to see a bow in one hand,and arrows in the other.She did an anime crash.''I thought it'd be a sword man.''Hiei shook his head.''You never know.This WAS unexpected.Now go ahead,shoot your arrows at something.''
Yumiko turned to a nearby tree and strung a Spirit Arrow on her Spirit Bow.''Spirit Shot!''she called.The arrow released with a twang and burst into the tree with the force of an explosion,knocking her back into Hiei.Hiei looked down at the figure in his arms.''Yumiko!Are you alright!?''Yumiko looked up at him,a bit dazed.''Yah,I'm fine.''Hiei looked at her with a bit of worry and held her close.Yumiko snorted.''Hiei?''He looked down at her.''Yumi.....Yumiko I've been thinking about something a lot....''
Yumiko stared into his eyes,the beautiful eyes of a fire koorime.''Yah,Hiei?''He leaned down and kissed her softly.''Yumiko,I don't know if you know what it means to be a demon's mate...it's like the equivalent of a human spouse.....I....''Yumiko's eyes widened.''Hiei?A-are you proposing?''Hiei closed his eyes and took in a deep breath.
''As far as humans say it,yes,I am.I don't want to be without you,Yumiko.''She brought his face close to her own.''Of course Hiei,I don't want to be without you either.I love you Hiei.''His eyes filled with a joy,a lust,a passion that Yumiko had never seen before.''Then...I must mark you as mine.''Yumiko took his hand.''Whatever it is,I'll do it.I always want to be with you.''Hiei nodded and moved away part of Yumiko's shirt on her right shoulder.She shuddered a bit at his touch and gave a soft moan as he kissed a sensitive spot.
A pain pierced through her as his fangs dug in.Her eyes widened but she said nothing,and gritted her teeth to keep from calling out.He pulled away and kissed the mark tenderly,and looked at Yumiko with unspoken emotion.Yumiko put her hands on his chest and rested her head there as well,falling into a waking dream where only she and Hiei and the forest existed.
