“Whoo, what an excellent morning. Don’t you agree Isis?”

“Yeah, especially with a view from up here. Do you sense anything?”

“Not a thing. I guess it’s safe to say that the city’s safe from up here. Let’s go to Yoyogi Park and report back to Aura now.”

Isis smiled from her broom as she looked at Orchid. She was sitting on a vine that was held together by two daisies that flew threw the sky. “You know, did I ever tell you how cute you looked.”

“Bitch.”

Orchid jumped off her vine and plunged towards Yoyogi Park with Isis right behind her. When they landed, they landed right in front of Aura and Esmé. “Nothing?”

“Nope.”

“LetR 17;s keep it that way and no one will get hurt. Hurry up, I have to go to work.”

They all loaded into the car and Aura drove towards the hospital that she worked in. When she got out, Esmé took over the driver’s seat. “We’ll call if we find something new. You just stay sexy nurse.” Esmé teased. “Fuck off.”

“Pissy. Anyways, later.”

As Esmé drove off, Aura walked inside towards the hospital. ::: Hopefully she’ll run the damn demon over driving like a mad woman. Teenagers... :::

As Esmé drove home, she couldn’t help but think about Shuiichi. She had dreamed about him the night before. She was sure she was in love. Never in her life had she felt such romance rush through her. When he declared that he wanted to see her again, she wanted to jump for the heavens and take him with her. How could she not say yes? He was handsome, courteous and had the most heavenly smile. When she arrived home, she went to her room and daydreamed about Shuiichi. Elsewhere, Orchid went into the city for some doughnuts. As she walked and snacked on to delicious treats, a ball rolled in her direction. She looked down at it then at the little boy running towards it. He stopped and looked up at Orchid then at the doughnuts she was eating. She smiled down to him and held out a doughnut. “Go on kiddo. You can have it.”

“Th-thank you, I’m sorry my ball hit you miss. I was playing with it next to my mom and-”

“Where is your mother little one? She’ll be worried if she finds out you strayed away from her.”

Just as Orchid was about to scoop the little boy up, a woman came running towards her. “Jin! Jin I told you not to go away! You’ll get lost.”

“Gomen Nasai Kaasan.”

The woman scooped her child up and nodded to Orchid. “Thank you for keeping him out of trouble.” She thanked. Orchid smiled and offered Jin another doughnut. Jin’s mouth widened into a smile and grabbed the doughnut. “Jin!! Where are your manners? It’s not polite to grab!”

“Don’t worry about it, I’m not offended. Take it easy kiddo.”

As Orchid walked away, the woman watched her. Her blue eyes narrowed. “That girl...she isn’t human. I can feel a demonic aura coming from her. She must be one of Conya’s henchmen.” She whispered. “We have to find Princess Esmé soon mommy. If we don’t Conya will find us or her first and we’ll be doomed.”

“I know baby...I know.”

The woman carrying her son was none other than Shinosuke’s sister Yurime. Like Esmé, she too had changed her looks. Her hair was a lovely violet color, her eyes were green and she was beautiful enough to be any man’s desire. This sometimes angered Eiji who had also altered his appearances. When Yurime arrived home, Eiji was busy playing the piano. “What’d you get this time sis?”

“Everything that was on the list. Eiji, Jin and I came across a demon today. She was trying to mask her demonic aura but I was able to sense it. Conya knows we’re here and we have to move fast.”

Eiji stopped playing and lifted his cigarette to his lips. “Then we’d better get moving. I’ll go out tonight and see what I can find.”

“Me too!”

“Not you. You’ll stay in bed. Your mother and I have important business to handle.”

Elsewhere, Esmé and Kurama had gone out to lunch. It was raining that afternoon but the gloomy skies didn’t prevent Esmé and her date from enjoying themselves. She simply looked out the window and smiled. “My mother will be overjoyed to know that our plants are getting water. She loves flowers. She and I spend hours in the garden, weeding, watering, growing, you name it we do it. If you want I can bring you over to my house and show you.” Kurama offered. Esmé nodded then turned her eyes back outside to the rain. She saw an image of herself when she was younger. Her father was there with her.

::: All right Esmé. Here I come!! :::

“Esmé, is something bothering you?”

“No. I was just thinking about how beautiful the rain is. The dreary skies bring out the lights in the city. There’s nothing more beautiful than the city at night. Don’t you think so Shuiichi?”

Kurama took Esmé’s hand kissed it softly. “You’re more beautiful than any lights the city can illuminate. Come for a walk with me.” He whispered. Esmé’s heart filled with love and passion. She reached for Kurama’s hand and grasped it.

“Oh man! It’s so boring around here!!! Hey Isis, I’m going out for a while.”

“Yeah just go already. I’m trying to watch Passions. Damn you Gwen!”

Orchid rolled her eyes and reached for her umbrella. She hated the rain. It ruined all her plans to go out for the day. As she walked through the streets, she felt a portal being opened. “Finally some action!” She said cheerfully. She ran into a dark alley and took her demonic form. Her eyes changed from blue to green, her wolf ears appeared on top of her head and her tail popped out of her long pants. Orchid ran her tongue over her sharp teeth and smiled. “The hunter has awakened.”

She jumped up onto the building and ran towards the mountains. “If they thought opening a portal miles from the city they’re gravely mistaken.”

Once in the mountains, Orchid quietly searched for any demons. But what she found wasn’t demons. It was the boy she had danced with last night! Spirit Detective Yusuke Urameshi and his friend Kuwabara had come from the portal. ::: He’s a demon!?!??! Why didn’t I sense him last night at the club? Damn it all! It was a mistake to have overlooked that. He probably reported to Conya by now. I’ll have to take him out quickly before anymore subordinates get here :::

Orchid jumped from the tree she was hiding in and confronted the two boys. “Hey!! Just where do you think you’re going?” She asked. Yusuke and Kuwabara turned to Orchid and grinned. “We were on our way home but if you want, we can take a detour and find a nice bar.” Yusuke offered. Orchid crossed her arms chuckled. “You two don’t fool me. I know what you’re really here for! You’re looking for the princess aren’t you?!”

Yusuke looked at Orchid in confusion. He didn’t know who Orchid was referring too. He stepped toward her with a frown on his face. She was starting to piss him off. “Listen, I don’t know who this princess is that you’re talking about. Why don’t you be a good youkai and go back to the Makai. I’ll let you leave unharmed.” Yusuke suggested. Orchid took a strand of grass and held it in her palm. It glowed a bright green then increased in size. When the light dimmed it revealed a sword in Orchid’s hand. “Now you die.”

She charged at Yusuke and thrusted her sword at him but missed. Yusuke easily stepped to the side and grabbed Orchid’s wrist. “I don’t want to fight you. Just drop the sword lady and no one will get hurt!”

“You’re the one that’ll hurt at the end of this battle.”

Orchid’s claws turned a bright red and Yusuke saw. He let go of the sword and jumped back to avoid the oncoming attack. “You’re not getting away that easily!!” Orchid said. She ran at Yusuke with her claws ready to strike, a move Yusuke grinned at. He charged up his reiki and fired his Spirit Gun at Orchid. “Haha!”

“Ahh!!”

Orchid fell backwards and laid flat against the ground as the attack hurled past her. The explosion was heard all around the city. Yurime, Eiji and Jin looked out the window. “It’s them! They’re here!”

“Let’s go Yurime.”

At the hospital, Aura felt the huge amount of energy coming from the mountains. “Shit! They’re already here. Isis better get her ass over there ASAP.” She growled. She hopped over the front desk and ran outside into the parking lot. While no one was looking, she took her demonic form and flew towards the mountains. “Isis it’s time to go!” She said as she flew towards the action. At home, Isis punched the table, breaking it in half. “Just when Noah Bennett with taking his shirt off! You’re gonna pay for making me miss my soaps!” She screamed. Isis’ clothes changed into two shells that covered her small breasts and her legs had become fins. She flew out of the window and joined Aura in the skies. “So they’re here?”

“Yeah, I hope Orchid’s ok. No time to waste, let’s hurry up and take them out.”

“All righty!”

In the city, Esmé and Kurama both felt the surge of energy coming from the mountains. ::: Damn, Conya’s fools are here now. I hope Esmé’s no where near them. Though I hate to live this human girl alone... I’m sorry Esmé. :::

While Esmé wasn’t looking, Kurama slipped away and took his youko form. He quickly headed towards the mountains, where as Esmé did the same thing. Aura and Isis were the first to arrive. When the got there, Orchid and Yusuke had taken serious damage from one another. “Are you ok Orchid?”

“Yeah, this demon is strong. He hasn’t been giving his full power yet he’s so powerful. Conya surely knows how to pick her demons to do her dirty work.”

Yusuke gritted his teeth in anger. “I don’t work for some chick name Conya! Get your facts straight bitch!”

“Prepare to die!”

“Stop!!”

Everyone turned to see Yurime and Eiji running towards them. Orchid, Isis and Aura gasped. “You’re Yurime, Shinosuke’s sister. What are you doing in the human world?”

“I could ask you the same thing. Are you one of Conya’s henchmen?”

Aura snorted and closed her eyes. “Don’t be ridiculous.” She answered. “I suppose asking why you’re here would be a waste of time. Your princess is safe and should be arriving any moment now.” Aura assured. Yusuke and Kuwabara stared at each other then back at Aura and Yurime. “We’re a little lost here. Who’s this princess? And this Conya woman?”

“It’s none of your business.”

“What did you say?”

“Yusuke.”

Everyone turned to the silver youko. To his surprise, Yurime was with the group of people. Immediately, he ran to her and hugged her. “Yurime! You’re still alive after all these years.” Kurama said joyfully. “Yes Kurama, I’m alive. So are Eiji and Junichi. We’re all fine. But the time has come for us to find Esmé and help her take back what’s rightfully hers.” Yurime said. Eiji nodded in agreement with his sister. “Things have become unstable after Esmé left. Conya has been seeking the secrets of the Ancient kings. It is kept within the temple north of the castle.” Eiji said. Isis took a step closer to Yurime and Eiji. “Tell us, what happened that day...after Esmé fled from the clan?”

Flashback

Conya laid on the bed that was once owned by king Shinosuke. She grinned triumphantly to herself. “Now that the bitch is away, I will have what I’ve been searching for. I always thought Shinosuke was a feeble king but he turned out to be very valuable. I couldn’t have done it without you your highness.”

Conya left the castle and headed towards the temple. She eyed the stone door up and down. When she tried to open it, it wouldn’t budge. She punched, kicked and cursed at the door but still it would not open. She saw an inscription in the doors. She had neglected to read it but since it was a useful clue on how to open the door, she decided to read it. “Beyond these doors lie the secrets of the ancient kings. This door was sealed by the first king of our clan and was passed down generation by generation. Only a member of the royal family is capable of opening this door. Fuck!! If I knew Esmé was that important then I wouldn’t have tossed her on her ass. Fucking royal family, even in death and defeat you still thwart my plans. Or perhaps, I haven’t lost fully. I still have Yurime. She’ll be able to help me obtain what I want.”

So Conya went inside to find Yurime to help her open the temple door. Unfortunately, Yurime, Eiji and Junichi were gone. “Impossible! Guards! Track them down and don’t let them get away.”

In the forest, Yurime, Eiji and Kurama fled from the castle. “We have to hurry and find Esmé! Conya must know we left.” Yurime said. They continued to run until a group of youkos caught up with them. “They found us!”

“There they are! Get them now!!”

One of the youko shot an arrow at Eiji. He dodged the arrow with ease but Yurime was right behind him. The arrow hit her in her leg, causing her to fall with baby Junichi in her arms. As Kurama fought off the demons, Eiji assisted Yurime and baby Junichi to escape. He feared that they would be captured. He couldn’t let that happen. “It’s no use. I can’t walk any further.”

“We can’t surrender now. Yurime we-”

“Eiji! Yurime! Come quickly. I’ve opened a portal for you.”

Eiji picked Yurime up and ran towards the portal. Before he entered, he looked down at their enemy’s kinsman. “You’re very brave for assisting us. Thank you.”

“I’ll make sure Kurama gets to the human world safely as well. You just go.”

Eiji leaped into the portal with his sister and nephew with the portal closing behind them. As he fell towards the human world, he couldn’t help but worry about the young and Kurama, but with escaping being his only option, there was very little they could do.

End Flashback

“Haku saved you?” Aura asked in disbelief. “Yes, he’s quite brave for rebelling against Conya.”

From behind a tree, Esmé saw the group standing together. Kurama was with them. She almost gave her presence away with a gasp but she covered her mouth. ::: Kurama...and Yurime? They’re in the human world. This can’t be happening. I refuse to return to the pack. I turned away from that life years ago. I’ll never go back! ::: Esmé slowly backed up and began running in the opposite direction. As she was running, someone moved in front of her. “Princess?”

“Huh? Who are you?”

“This is a surprise. I’m sent to retrieve Yurime and what I find is a dead princess. Conya will love this. Come with me your highness.”

The demon reached for Esmé but she quickly slapped the demon’s hand away and stepped back. Instead of being angry, the wolf demon only smirked at her and tackled her to the ground, pinning her with one hand and covering her mouth with the other. “Now be a good girl and be quiet. If you do, I’ll guarantee you’ll have a quick death.” He whispered. Esmé gathered the energy in her body then released a good thirty percent of it, blowing the demon away and sending a signal out. Everyone turned to see the immense light. “That’s Esmé!”

“Our princess is here? Eiji we have to hurry.”

“Kurama already beat us to it.”

Kurama rushed through the forest towards Esmé. When he arrived, Esmé was just finishing off the demon that attacked her. “Esmé..” Kurama called softly. Esmé turned to see Kurama standing behind her. Her eyes widened with shock as she looked at the silver youko. He was in the human world too. Like Conya; he was looking for her too. Esmé knew the causes for Kurama searching for her were different than that of Conya’s but she’d still refuse. “Esmé, I’ve been searching for so many years. We have to talk.”

“I know what you want to talk about Kurama! I’ll never go back! Just leave me alone!”

As Esmé backed away, a portal opened. Before she could say anything, someone or something pulled her in. Kurama tried to grab her hand but the portal had already closed. “Esmé!! Damn!” Kurama cursed.

When Esmé fell out the portal, she found herself inside a church. She jumped to her feet and dusted herself off and peered into the darkness. Someone was in the church with her. “I know you’re there! Show yourself now!” She demanded. Footsteps were heard as the person drew closer. Sweat raced down Esmé’s back and neck. As the figure stepped out of the shadows, Esmé was able to see clearly. It was a child with red hair and black eyes. Esmé reached toward him in shock. “Oh dear god...Haku!!!”

“Esmé...”
