summary: hiei fell in love once but she was murdered, what happens if her blood could activate a distructive machine... she was killed for her blood once, will hiei save her before she dies a second time as a reincarnation. does she remember him! who will die and who will live, and what of youko kurama. The green eyes are the key. (Hiei is out of mood a little)
The young girl demon was running from her attacker. Trying with all her might to get to the one she loves at the clearing, but she was too slow. The sword when through her stomach, and she felt a rush of pain flow over her. The figure standing above was a male he was just as young as she was and a demon that was farmilar to her. Her green eyes filled with tears, they ran down her face stinging her eyes. The last thing she thought of was the man now waiting at the clearing, who would never feel the joy of love again, who would grow dark and far away from everyone. His face was cold yet beautiful. She was going to miss him. The tears became crystals as she took her last breathe. The male took her blood.
A girl walked into a clearing, it was her favorite. to her astonishment there was another demon there. Usually demons left this area alone because Youko lived near by. Yet, here was a young male, not to bad looking, in her clearing. His hair stood straight up defying the laws of gravity. He carried a sword, which he had yet to learn how to use. He was very young around 15 maybe. He was about 4ft tall. She walked out into the clearing, bravely with out flinching and stated "Who are you and get out of 'my' clearing".

He turned around his eyes scared her but she kept her ground not moving. Then he smirked at her. her how dare he! no one smirked at her! She glared at this disobedient punk. He must be new to this area, or at least he better be! His smirk disappeared as he walked up to her. She forced herself not to kill him. Not that she thought she could. The Boy stopped right in her face and said dead to the world "I could ask you the same question but, I thought girls didn't have territory." It was more of a statement then a question. She glared daggers at at him. She allowed her more playful half to cause her to half smile, while she said "I asked you first"

This just confused him and it showed on his face. An older demon was watching in a tree he had silver hair, fox like ears and golden eyes. He was just watching to make sure he didn't try anything, but the moment she gave into the playful nature of young demons, He signed half thankful, half hateful and left. (I forgot what Youko looked like, I only saw him once but the older dude is him before he died. ok...)

The Boy still confused said half unsure " I'm Hiei". She smiled more playful then mad. She hadn't seen another demon other then Youko and Kuronue in ages. Hiei now really confused said "do u wanna fight?" With that The Girl said adding on to his confusion "I'm Niai". She jumped him playfully and wrestled happily.

He easily pinned her down but he wasn't smiling like she was. It was like he didn't even want to be there. She was back to glaring at him, his face was still hard and emotionless. She hated it when people or demons didn't smile when she did. He startled her when he said half wondering and half uncaring "Why do you have green eyes?". She wondered the same thing she had heard of no other demons that had green eyes, just her.

It was like a curse to have green eyes and be a demon. Her glare faded and all of her joy and feeling drained out of her as she rested under this demon called Hiei. She once again wondered why Youko kept her here. Why he made sure she was alone all the time. Yet he let this demon slip through, was it because he felt her loneliness. Hiei shifted off seeing how she felt sad at the question.

For the first time she actually saw regrate in his eyes. He mumbled a sorry to bring it up. She looked in his eyes and felt comfort in them. She forced a smile and decked him again but took it more seriously. She pinned him. She had a smile on her face, but it was a false smile. Hiei was smiling now at the fact that this girl was wrestling with him and actually winning. He thought to himself *So who cares if your enjoying this, just don't show it. Why am i smiling?*.

Just then they both heard a branch crack. They jumped, and turned to the sound it was Youko. He had a smile on his face that could have made a shadow laugh. He then glared at Hiei, who had just pinned Niai. He move rather quickly off of her. Hiei stared at Niai then at Youko. He was scared senseless he was still shaken up that someone may of seen him smile, but Youko was glaring at him. Just when he thought Youko was going to kill him, Niai stepped in between them. She had cut off Youko's glare, he was smiling again and said quite entertained "I'm not going to hurt your little friend Niai and when I say little I mean little". Niai was about 1ft taller then Hiei, so he really did look short. Hiei was now glaring and said quite angry "Who are you calling short".

Youko turned to him as he stepped out from behind Niai. She sent him a warning look, telling him not to try anything stupid. Hiei looked at Youko and swallowed then asked Niai "Is he your friend or something". Niai smiled realizing that Hiei wasn't looking for a fight and said "Ya, he is my gardian, he makes sure no one finds me". This surprised Hiei The Great Youko has a friend and a "girlfriend" to top it off. Hiei face went hard again as he was about to walk out of the clearing, but Youko stepped in front of him and said quite satisfied "You can't leave now Hiei". Hiei turned and glared at Youko. Youko growled at Hiei quietly.

Hiei made a move to the edge of the clearing and was intercepted by Youko's best friend Kuronue. Kuronue stared at the site now in the making. Niai was yelling at Youko for making Hiei stay and Youko was yelling at her to shut up. He had only been aloud to see Niai once, when she was little, because Youko couldn't help her. He had been hurt in a rubery. She was 5 then and he took little interest in her but now her body was aged and looked... friendly to him. He walked up to Youko, who nearly bite his head off .

Hiei had followed Kuronue too make sure he didn't touch Niai. Youko was now yelling at Kuronue for following him, but he wasn't paying attention. Kuronue bowed to Niai, Niai looked from Hiei to Youko , who was about ready to kill Kuronue, to Kuronue. She had no clue what to do so she went and hid behind Hiei who was now growling at him. Youko pulled Kuronue's ear and told him to leave Niai alone because she was just 15. Kuronue turned on Youko and asked "so I see Niai has grown. So are you going to find a mate for her or let her stay here forever?"

Hiei was still growling. He didn't want Niai that way but this other guy was a sneaky trickster. Youko and Kuronue were still fighting when Niai pulled on Hiei's sleeve ordering him to come with her. They went to the other side of the clearing. Where Niai asked Hiei if he knew how to fight with a sword. When he said "no" very quietly. Niai just smiled and said that she would teach him. She also said the he could teach her how to fight hand to hand. Hiei pulled out his sword, this caused Youko and Kuronue to turn to him and growl. Youko was about ready to kill Hiei for pulling a sword on Niai. Hiei then pointed the sword at her and in a quick motion... handed it to her.

Youko was going to kill Hiei for pulling a stunt like that, but Niai was having fun messing with Hiei's sword. Youko turned to Kuronue, who was now glaring at Hiei, and said "seems you lost to the youth Kuron." Niai ran over to Youko and stated happily "I'm going to teach him to use a sword and he's going to teach me how to fight hand to hand". Hiei looked at them and realized that Youko and Niai looked a lot alike. He thought to himself *Niai and Youko have the same ears and the same silver hair. the difference is the fact that one is a boy and one is a girl and ya the eyes. their heighs were different too. even their outfits were the same, just Niai's was tighter and more reveiling*.

Hiei snapped out of it when Youko walked over and said with out flinching "You are to stay here from now until i see fit for you to leave." As he was walking away Niai stuck her tongue out at Youko who turned around and glared at her. Kuronue looked from Hiei to Niai then back to Hiei and growled loudly and mumbled under his breathe "i am going to see you die one day Hiei". Niai then glared at him and hugged Hiei. This made Hiei turn 50 different shades of red. She said still hugging Hiei "Not if I can help it." While she was hugging him, Hiei noticed a bandana on Niai forehead, but he payed little mind to it.
Hiei was sleeping in a tree above Niai. She watched and waited for him to wake up. He slept later then anyone she had ever seen. She thought to herself *he must be tired. I wonder what he's dreaming about*. She took her bandana off and used her jagan eye to see his dreams. He was dreaming of a young girl she had sky bluish green hair and eyes similar to Hiei's, red but full of love and life. Niai wondered who this girl was but before she could go and find out she opened her eyes to find a sword to her throat. Hiei's eyes were focused on her's. He had anger in them. They looked like she had invaded a memory that he wanted no one else to know about.

Hiei was glaring at her. Right then she wished she had not gone into his dream, she saw a very sad look in his eyes. It made her fill sorry for him. Tears started to form at her eyes. This startled Hiei, his eyes softened as one tear hit the ground as a crystal. Hiei mumbled something under his breathe about how people should stay in their own heads, and put his sword away. They started their training. The events of the morning soon disappeared into memories of both Niai and Hiei. Niai hated it when people stood wrong when they got in their fighting stands, she yelled at him every time. He got so mad that he finally said "ok thats it, my turn to teach you." it went on like this for about 1 week.

Youko had stopped by and made sure Hiei hadn't tried anything and to tell him that he was going to try a hard robbery and not to worry if he didn't show for a couple of days. He also said "Kuron might stop by so don't kill him Hiei". Hiei and Niai were both depressed by this, neither one like the idea of Kuron flirting with Niai all the time. Youko left filling sorry for Kuronue if he decide to visit. If he did, without him there Kuron was going to be in so much pain if he tried anything on Niai.

Kuron came about two days later. He said to Hiei who still holding back his anger "Youko got pretty banged up, if he would follow his own rules and leave all those who fall behind". Hiei looked at Niai trying to catch fish from the pond and for the first time saw something shining under the water. They looked like the tear crystals, but he kept his mouth shut until Kuronue walked over to her. He was smiling a seductive smile. Hiei wanted to kill him for trying something like that but provoking the wrath of Youko stopped him. Niai looked up, she glared at Kuron, then she...
