I'd like to say that I'm not very pleased with the lack of reviews. Don't you guys love me anymore? *pouts I want to know if you guys like this or not. Please let me know. But don't worry, I'll continue writing even if you don't review. I love writing this one. You can always tell when someone likes writing a story, because they update sooner! with the fic!
It's been a month since Hiei came back to me........a month since my blissful hell started. still swear my house is haunted though. I keep seeing weird things and feeling chills every now and then. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it. Hiei told me a month ago that I was fat.....I hope he doesn't think so now. I want Hiei to be happy with me. I don't want him to be ashamed of me. So I've been working very hard to please him. I didn't even get raped as hard last night. He was actually a little tender. I think it was because he was drunk though. He's raped me every night since he came home. I've found that I'm good with hiding bruises. I know how to handle make up like a pro now. My mother doesn't suspect the bruises, but everyone's noticed my weight loss. I weigh 90 lbs now, and am at 5'5. I used to weigh 130, but eating an apple every two days sheds the pounds really quick. At first I had to sneak the apple at night, until Hiei caught me. I was beat for it. He said I ate enough. Even though I hadn't eaten that day or the day before.....but Hiei said I did. That's ok, Hiei knows what's best for me.......
~*****************************~
Kurama stood next to the kitchen window, staring out at the trees blowing in the wind. Hiei sat behind him on the counter, looking miserable. Hiei couldn't stand the silence any longer.
""Why do you let him do this to you? Why do you do this to yourself? Just kill the mother fucker and end your suffering."" He couldn't bear it any longer, he was watching his fox slowly wither away like the fragile rose he was. The ghost sighed. He hadn't been able to enter Kurama's dreams. He just didn't dream anymore it seemed. His life was wasting away with that abusive creep...
He was getting the hang of coming in contact with physical objects. He found out this morning the secret behind touching his fox. All he had to do was pretend he was alive. Don't think about being a ghost. Of course, he didn't want to give Kurama anymore heart attacks, so he usually only touched him at night, waiting for the fox to dream.
Sighing, Hiei jumped off the counter, there was something else he figured out too. He couldn't lay a finger on that bastard in his body. Apparentally, he can't harm his own body. That made things worse. There was not much he could do whenever the imposter decided to smack Kurama around. He was just glad that the imposter wasn't home at the moment. He didn't know where he was, as the imposter never told anyone where he went. Hiei just hoped to get through to Kurama and get him to dream.
"I should go see Yuusuke...." Kurama said out of the blue. Hiei looked up, the fox hadn't moved out of his spot. Hiei's facial expression mirrored confusion. The fox didn't give him time to ponder for he took off into the living room. The ghost followed behind, curious as to what his lover was gonna do.
Kurama gathered his coat and keys. He knew that he had to talk to somebody or he was gonna go crazy. And he had some questions to ask about Hiei....the thought of that name, Kurama groaned inwardly. He loved Hiei with all his heart, he'd stay here and go through this for his demon lover. He just didn't think this ningen body was gonna hold out much longer.
The drive to Yuusuke's was shorter than usual, Kurama's thoughts had been on his fire demon. The ghost followed as the boney redhead made his way through the shoppe doors. Kurama spotted Yuusuke shortly, he was behind the counter. Seeing no one else in the store, Kurama smiled and approached the counter.
Yuusuke jumped when he heard someone sit down at the counter. Turning around, Yuusuke grinned.
"Hey Kurama. Hiei let you out of the house today?" He said more seriously. Kurama's smile faultered. Hiei hardly ever let him outside.
"Yuusuke, we need to talk." He got right to the point. Yuusuke scratched his head.
"Sure, what about?" He asked, taking a seat. Hiei did the same, attention focused on Kurama. The fox sighed.
"It's...about Hiei......are you sure he was dead when you found him? I mean, how could he have been dead and then have come back to life?" He spurted out. Yuusuke shrugged.
"I don't know. All I know is, he was DEAD when we found him. I'm sure of it." Yuusuke looked dead serious now. Kurama rubbed his temples. He felt a headache starting.
"Hiei denys that he was killed. Can you believe he didn't even ask about his tear gem? He cherishes that thing above all else." He waved his hands around, trying to make sense of everything. Yuusuke's eyes cast downward.
"No, he cherishes you above everything else..." He said softly. Kurama turned his head away.
".....Used to......I'm not sure now. He's been so different since he came home. He's never stru-....I mean, he's never made me stay at home like this before." He flushed at his own mistake. Yuusuke caught it though. He and the others had been suspecting as much ever since the first time they seen the koorime after his miraculous return. Makeup and long sleeved shirts didn't go unoticed in the middle of July. Yuusuke thought something was off, Hiei wouldn't act like this.
Yuusuke had a thought strike him. (BAM!!!) *hee hee
"Hey Kurama, has Hiei gone back to the Makai since he's been back?" He pondered. Kurama's face scrunched up.
"As far as I know, no. He never tells me where he's going anymore. And he invites these weird people over all the time. They're rude and they stink." Kurama grimaced at the memories. Yuusuke hung his head in thought.
"You know, you should talk about this to Koenma. He's sure to know more about this." Yuusuke advised. Kurama brightened.
"Yeah you're right. I'll do that!" He went to leave but Yuusuke stopped him. Seeing Kurama's confused look, he spoke.
"Here, eat something, you're a fucking skeleton." He pushed a bowel of Ramen at the fox. Kurama stared at the food hungrily. But he shook his head.
"No, I can't, I....I gotta go..thanks Yuusuke." Kurama fumbled with his excuse. In reality, Hiei'd get mad if he was caught eating. Yuusuke didn't take the bait. He narrowed his eyes.
"Kurama, you've gotta eat, just look at yourself! You're noting but skin and bones! Whatever happened to the cheerful, bright, SMILING kitsune? What happened to you Kurama?" Yuusuke wouldn't give up on his friend. Hiei smiled. He was glad Yuusuke was looking out for his fox. Kurama flinched under Yuusuke's onslaught of accusations.
"Yuusuke I assure you I'm fine. Don't worry about me, worry about Hiei, I'm sure something happened to him." He gathered his coat and put it on. Yuusuke hmphed at how the coat just fell off of him it was so big. Kurama just pretended to ignore him.
"I'm not worried about that koorime, I'm worried about your health. If you don't take care of yourself, you're gonna get real sick." He scrunched his eyebrows together in worry. Kurama just waved him off.
"I'm fine, thanks for everything Yuusuke, and I'll go see Koenma tomorrow. I think I'll go home and tend to the garden. Good bye friend." He bowed respectfully before leaving the shoppe, Hiei close at his heels. Hiei scowled, though no one could see him.
""You should've ate something fox. You need it."" He growled, watching as Kurama completely ignored him. Hiei didn't think Koenma would be of much help to the fox. And how was Kurama gonna get to the spirit world without that bastard knowing? Pondering this, Hiei sat in the passenger seat and listened to the radio Kurama was singing to.
Pulling into the driveway, Kurama gulped loudly. Hiei's new car was sitting in the driveway, signifying that he was home. Shaking, Kurama got out of the car and opened the front door. Entering the house, Kurma noted with much displeasure that Hiei was sitting at the kitchen table, a beer bottle in his hand. Seeing his head down against his chest, Kurama eased his way toward him. Hiei slowly followed, praying that the imposter was either passed out or dead.
Kurama stuck his face down next to 'Hiei's, examining him. Finding him asleep, Kurama sighed in relief and turned to walk away. He screamed bloody murder when a hand roughly grabbed his wrist. He jerked around to meet two burning orbs glaring at him.
"And just where the FUCK have you been, bitch?!" He stood, glaring up at the paled kitsune. Kurama visibly shook, hoping Hiei wouldn't be too angry. His hope wasn't accounted for thus he was sent to the floor in a heap of aching muscles. Feeling kicks in the ribs, Kurama curled up in a fetal position waiting for it to end. 'Hiei' continued his onslaught without mercy.
"What if someone came and stole all the shit in our house huh?! Stupid ass! Didn't you listen when I told you not to leave the house?!" He kicked harder, causing the fox to whimper in pain. But 'Hiei' didn't stop there.
"You're MY slut! No one elses! You won't leave this house anymore! I'll make sure of it." He knelt down and started using his fists against the kitsune's skull. Kurama had long since passed out from the pain on his weakened body. The imposter didn't notice, he kept punching the exposed head and shoulders. Breathing hard, the imposter stood up, wiping the sweat off his face with his shirt. Stumbling to the table, he picked up the bottle and drained the rest of the contents. Throwing the bottle, he smirked when he heard the familiar sound of glass shattering against the wall. Kicking Kurama on the way out, the imposter stumbled up the stairs, obviously drunk. Hearing the bedroom door slam, Hiei knelt next to the unconcious fox. A crystalen tear splashed onto Kurama's cheek. Hiei wiped it away, smoothing the kitsune's hair away from his face. The fox moaned and leaned into the touch. Feeling bold, Hiei caressed Kurama's smooth cheek, grimacing everytime Kurama flinched in discomfort.
Hiei leaned down and pressed his ghostly lips against Kurama's sweat covered forehead. Kurama moaned.
"......Hiei..." He murmured, much to Hiei's shock. He pulled back quickly, scooting away from the redhead. Feeling foolish, Hiei made his way back over to his lover.
""Don't worry Kurama, I'll find someone to help. Just rest and please please please hold on until I get back..."" That resolved, the koorime scooped up his lover and, making sure the imposter wasn't coming downstairs, deposited Kurama on the couch. Kissing him softly on the lips, Hiei whispered love words to the still sleeping fox. Turning around, Hiei nearly jumped in shock.
"Hiei, don't leave me again please." Hiei whirled around and seen two green orbs pleading with him.
""K-Kurama?!"" Hiei said in disbelief. Kurama whimpered his name once more and reached a bruised hand out toward him. Hiei slowly reached his out and clasped them together, marveling at the tingling sensation. Kurama genuinely smiled and spoke softly.
"I thought you......hated me Hiei, tell me please what's going on....would you?" Kurama implored, a joyful tear escaping his eye. A teargem of Hiei's own fell to the carpet. Hiei made his way over and sat on the couch next to the kitsune. Hiei made a joyful sound and caressed Kurama's forehead. The fox smiled. Hiei started telling what he knew.
""I DID die on that mission, as you can see. But, I learned that this wandering spirit fused himself with my body, thus aquiring my memories, but obviously not my feelings. I've been with you since the beginning, trying to communicate or anything. I had failed. I just recentally figured out how to touch physical objects, including you love. I was visited by an old ghost, he gave me this object. It's called a Spirit Compresser, and I was supposed to give it to you in your dreams, but you've never dreamed since that imposter came here. It was supposed to be a dream with myself in it, but I haven't been able to accomplish my goal. After it's in your possesion, you have to stick the object on the imposter's, well, my body and the spirit will be driven out and held until Botan comes to send him to Hell. And maybe after he leaves the body, maybe I can cheat death......that is......if you want me back...?"" Hiei trailed off, gazing at the love of his life.
Kurama listened to Hiei tell his tale of what had been going on. He was appalled that he let this IMPOSTER make him believe that he was his Hiei! Feeling guilty, Kurama sighed. Hearing Hiei's last words, he jerked his gaze back to his lover.
"Of course I want you back Hiei! I couldn't live without you!! I should never have believed that fake....I'm so sorry Hiei I-" He was cut off by a finger to his lips. Hiei softly shushed him.
""Don't you ever......ever apologize to me again, understand? I've seen you with this creep, I've seen you beat and raped, and you didn't even fight back! You could've left or killed him or something!"" Hiei exclaimed, frustrated. Kurama sighed in content.
"But, I thought it was you koibito. I'd do anything for you. You know that." Kurama explained, tightening his grip on Hiei's hand. The koorime gazed at their joined hands, feeling a bubble of joy forming in his chest for the first time in a long time. He frowned shortly after though.
""Kurama, I'm going to go and see if I can contact Botan, so she'll be here when the spirit leaves the body. You just need to distract the imposter and place this Compresser on him. I'll be back as soon as I can."" Kurama nodded.
"Be careful love, come back soon." He sat up on the couch. Hiei cupped his cheek with a hand.
""I've waited a month now. I love you Kurama. Forever."" He smiled at the happy look on Kurama's face. The fox covered Hiei's hand with his own.
"I love you too Hiei." The koorime leaned closer, face inches away from Kurama's. The fox marveled at the blue fog like cloud surrounding his lover. He almost cried for joy when he felt soft lips touch his after so long doing without. Hiei wrapped his arms around the fox, relieved to be blessed with touching his kitsune. He pulled back after a few minutes, leaving both breathless. Kurama smiled. Hiei stood, turning toward the door.
""I'll be back soon ok? Be careful."" With that, Hiei tossed the blue star shape object to his lover and disappeared right through the door. Kurama caught the object easily. Leaning closer, he examined it. It was rather pretty.
'How does it work? Do I just......stick it on?' He pondered. Sighing, he stood up shakily and padded to the kitchen. Reaching the refrigerator, he pulled out an orange. Peeiling it, he turned around and felt enormous pain shoot through his stomach. Crying out, he dropped the orange and looked down to see a big knife stuck in his stomach. Raising his eyes, he was face to face with the imposter. He grimaced and grabbed the knife handle, pulling it out. Crying out, he dropped the knife to the floor before making eye contact with the smirking imposter.
"Your plan will never work, you'll be dead before they can get back!"
Notes: Ha ha, poor Kurama. *sniffwas a little sad. I hope you liked it though. Review please! All you have to do just write three little words: "I love it" "I hate it" Easy huh? hee hee. Peace out.

All you have to do just write three little words: "I love it" "I hate it" Easy huh? hee hee. Peace out.
