Kiba knew this wasn't good, and, judging by his face, Platina knew this too...
Kiara seemed worried, so did Kishiri, Yukina was standing behind Genkai, her youkai senses were able to feel the spike in Kyna's youki as it raised to swirl around her in the form of frigid air currents.
Kurama, Hiei, Yusuke and Kuwabara stood in a fighting position, not knowing what to expect from the new youkai whose aura was blinding white with fury, to tell the truth, Kiba himself did not know what to expect from her.
But Genkai was another story, her eyes were narrowed but her stance relaxed.
" Master Genkai? " Kiba asked softly. " Why are you so relaxed? " He asked.
" I only had a chance to see her full power once before, and I wonder how much she has grown since the last time I saw her 55 years ago " Genkai said, Yusuke heard and glared at her.
" You know her, Ba-san? " He asked.
" Of course I do, and your power is no where near hers, if you want to beat her, you'll need to train harder " Genkai snapped at Yusuke.
" Chigau " Kiara said softly. " We are not your enemies, and she had to steal the Gem of Dreams from Yamiken, otherwise, the mountain foxes trapped within the barrier would eventually die. " Kiara said softly.
But while all seemed to relax, Tai seemed to be terrified of the inuyoukai that began to walk softly towards him, a feral look in her glowing golden eyes, when she was out of the shadows, they were able to see the trail of blood running down her hands to the tip of her claws to the white snow below her feet, tainting it with red.
" You killed them " Kanne said with a slight tremor in his voice.

" Kyna explained as she raised her claws and inspected them. " If my poison enters your body, you'll be dead in a little amount of time, between a minute and 10 minutes, depending in the amount. "
" You lie " Kanne said.
" Why would I? Is common knowledge in Makai that the poison of an Ice Inu is lethal and still has no cure. " Kyna said as she stood between Kanne and the Reikai Tantei, this didn't go unnoticed by Kanne himself.

" I am a guardian, Kanne, your spheres hold no danger to me anymore " Kyna said.
" That was a weak spell, my dear, and even if you hold those powers, you are still an Ice Inu, you are weak against my fire spells " Kanne said, then he smirked. " Kuroi Honou!! " Kanne shouted as a black burst of flame shot towards Kyna.
The Ice Inu moved out of the way, and began to run at a very high speed, her claws lengthen once more, with a swipe of her hand, 5 chopstick-like-darts flew towards Kanne, who moved out of the way, both ended facing each other.
" Still as fast as ever, my dearest. " Kanne commented. " But I wonder what things about you have changed in the last hundred years "
" You wouldn't believe me, Kanne. " Kyna said as she notched an arrow in her bow as she stood once again between Kanne and the Reikai Tantei.
" As arrogant as ever, it seems time itself can't cure you of that, right? " Kanne asked.
" I might be arrogant, but that's because I know the extent of my own power, and even if it's below yours, I have speed, skill and strategy on my part. " Kyna said as her now golden eyes locked with Kanne's purple ones.

" You shot me with an arrow fused with your fire youki, I shot you with my own arrow fused with ice youki, the pain is not the same, yours is worse, I am stronger than you were back then. " Kyna said as she notched another arrow and aimed at Kanne's back.
Kanne snarled and stood up, his eyes were a blood red color now, his eyes narrowed as he ran straight at Kyna, who only fired the second arrow, but this arrow was different from the other, this time, the arrow was surrounded by an ice blue beam of light, Kanne's eyes widened and he moved out of the way, but the edge of his long sleeve was caught by the arrow, the enchanted material turned to ashes immediately.
" So, you are a guardian after all. " Kanne said as he inspected his sleeve.
" I do not lie " Kyna stated as she took the quiver of arrows from her back and threw it on the snow covered floor along with her bow, she unsheathed the sword hidden by the cloak at her hip and dashed towards Kanne, who threw a black and red fire ball at her, Kyna moved out of the way and the fireball crashed on the snow covered floor.
Kyna tried to get close to Kanne to cut him with her sword, but the fire user kept her away using fire-based spells, using his Kuroi Honou once in a while.
" KOORI NO NAIFU! " Kyna shouted as ice made daggers shot towards Kanne, who blocked them with a fire wall.
- Damnit! - Kyna thought with a snarl. - My powers are not strong enough to do him any harm! And I need more time to charge enough energy to use a stronger spell, my arrows will burn off and my poison will evaporate because of the heat, what can I do to stop him? - So absorbed in her thoughts, Kyna didn't see Kanne was creating a golden colored sphere in his left hand as Kyna ran in circles around him.

The startled Inu looked towards Platina when she heard his shout, just to see Kanne throw the energy ball at her, instead of avoiding the attack, in her shock, Kyna created a barrier around herself, who slowed down the sphere's speed but didn't stop it, the energy ball collided with her, it's force sent her crashing towards a big and sturdy tree, Kyna's back impacted with the tree trunk, she dropped in the snow covered floor, her front against the cold snow, and she didn't move any more.
" Oh my god...IMOTO! " Kiba shouted as he ran towards the fallen Kyna, who was, by now, standing up with the help of the tree.
" Quite resistant, aren't you? " Kanne said as he began to walk towards Kyna. " But what will you do to escape my attacks now than more than one of your ribs are broken? " Kanne asked.
Kyna just smirked under her mask. " My ribs didn't brake, dumbass. " Arrogance colored her usually emotionless voice.
" Damn you, you just don't know when to give up, do you? " Kanne asked. " No matter how many times I try to kill you, you remain alive, you are worse then a cockroach. " Kanne said, quite annoyed.
" Gee, thank you, but I do not like those nasty insects. " Kyna said, shuddering at the thought of one.
" That's a shame, you have so many things in common. " Kanne said as he fired a fire ball at Kyna, who moved away and began to run towards Kanne, the claws of her right hand elongated and turned ice blue in color, she made a swipe with her claws, Kanne moved back and her claws caught the front of his robes, which melted at the contact.
Kanne was still in midair when Kyna placed the open palm of her right hand looking towards Kanne, a transparent blue sphere appeared in her hand and small dagger shaped pieces of ice formed inside. " Koori no Naifu! "
The dagger shaped pieces of ice flew towards Kanne and hit him square in the chest, but instead of dying, Kanne's form turned into a ripped piece of paper.
" A shikigami. " Kyna whispered, then she frowned. - If a simple shikigami was that strong, then how strong is the real Kanne? - Kyna wondered as she knelt beside the piece of paper, which burned and turned to ashes.
" We were fighting against a shikigami and our attacks didn't do any harm to it! " Yusuke exclaimed.
" A shikigami? " Kuwabara asked.
Kiba sighed as he turned towards the Reikai Tantei. " A shikigami is a creature created with the power of the owner, it can have the same form as it's owner or a different one. " He explained.
" Ah. " Kuwabara said.
" Well, now that this is solved, we can get you all and bring you to Koenma. " Yusuke said as he looked towards Kyna, who was picking her bow and quiver from the snow.
" Really? " Kyna asked as she faced Yusuke. " And how do you plan on doing that, detective? "
" I'll knock you unconscious! " Yusuke shouted.
" How if you can't even get close enough to me to do so? " Kyna said, a smile forming in her lips beneath the silver mask she wore.
" Oh, you'll see!! " Yusuke shouted as he ran at Kyna, who only side stepped and Yusuke fell face first in the snow.
Kuwabara burst out laughing along with Kishiri, Genkai, Kiara and Yukina, Kurama tried to hide his chuckle with a cough, failing miserably, Kiba laughed softly, Platina and Hiei just grinned.
" Argh! " Yusuke snarled as he stood up, and as he was going to jump once more at Kyna when a new and unfamiliar voice made itself known.

She had definitely changed since she last saw her 55 years ago, her hair was longer, and she looked older and wiser, her eyes held power and determination, as they always had, but now the once bright orbs had lost some of their sparkle, they were also tinted by sadness and pain, but she was glad to see that her inner flame was blazing more vividly than it had been ever before, and the old woman could just wonder why.
She was also a lot more powerful than she had been back then and more skilled, she also seemed more. . .Human somehow.
But at the same time, she was the same untamed and free creature she had been when they met, the same inu youkai that ran carelessly and free with the wind, with nothing to hold her back, and only her 2 friends as companions.

" Len. " Platina said as he looked at Kyna. " Leave the birds to Kyna and myself, we will defeat them easily. " He said, Kyna nodded.
" Ki o tsukete " Len said as the fox and ice inu jumped out of the barrier and stood before the birds, who were readying an attack.
" Ijis..." Both said at the same time as they raised their right hand towards the birds and icy wind enveloped both of them. " Kaze! " They shouted at the same time the birds flew towards them, the first 2 lines of 4 birds froze with the frigid gust of wind, the remaining ones were able to escape the air currents.
" Wow. " Yusuke said, as he, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei and Genkai stepped out of Yukina's barrier. " Now, some time for action. " Yusuke said as he fired a Rei-Gun at another bird, which dropped to the floor, dead.
" They are so weak. " Kuwabara said. " We will finish them off very soon. "
Kurama used his whip to kill another bird while Hiei used his katana to slice another in 2, Kuwabara did the same as Hiei, Genkai sent a wave of punches that killed another while Kyna slashed the remaining 2 with her whip.
Kyna turned around and faced Kiba, his expression was the same Platina, Kiara and Kishiri had. 'What now?' their expressions said, and for once, Kyna herself didn't know what to do.

Kyna landed behind him, and as soon as she touched the snow below her feet, she jumped again in the air, she turned in midair towards Kanne at the same time she aimed her arrow, she fired, and her aim was true, she hit Kanne in the back of his right shoulder, the arrow shined with an ice blue aura, Kanne hissed in pain as he fell to the floor, holding his shoulder, which was now ice cold.
" You shot me with an arrow fused with your fire youki, I shot you with my own arrow fused with ice youki, the pain is not the same, yours is worse, I am stronger than you were back then. " Kyna said as she notched another arrow and aimed at Kanne's back.
Kanne snarled and stood up, his eyes were a blood red color now, his eyes narrowed as he ran straight at Kyna, who only fired the second arrow, but this arrow was different from the other, this time, the arrow was surrounded by an ice blue beam of light, Kanne's eyes widened and he moved out of the way, but the edge of his long sleeve was caught by the arrow, the enchanted material turned to ashes immediately.
" So, you are a guardian after all. " Kanne said as he inspected his sleeve.
" I do not lie " Kyna stated as she took the quiver of arrows from her back and threw it on the snow covered floor along with her bow, she unsheathed the sword hidden by the cloak at her hip and dashed towards Kanne, who threw a black and red fire ball at her, Kyna moved out of the way and the fireball crashed on the snow covered floor.
Kyna tried to get close to Kanne to cut him with her sword, but the fire user kept her away using fire-based spells, using his Kuroi Honou once in a while.
" KOORI NO NAIFU! " Kyna shouted as ice made daggers shot towards Kanne, who blocked them with a fire wall.
- Damnit! - Kyna thought with a snarl. - My powers are not strong enough to do him any harm! And I need more time to charge enough energy to use a stronger spell, my arrows will burn off and my poison will evaporate because of the heat, what can I do to stop him? - So absorbed in her thoughts, Kyna didn't see Kanne was creating a golden colored sphere in his left hand as Kyna ran in circles around him.
Platina, however, saw the energy ball and his eyes widened in fear. " WATCH OUT! " He shouted as Kanne raised his hand to throw the sphere.
The startled Inu looked towards Platina when she heard his shout, just to see Kanne throw the energy ball at her, instead of avoiding the attack, in her shock, Kyna created a barrier around herself, who slowed down the sphere's speed but didn't stop it, the energy ball collided with her, it's force sent her crashing towards a big and sturdy tree, Kyna's back impacted with the tree trunk, she dropped in the snow covered floor, her front against the cold snow, and she didn't move any more.
" Oh my god...IMOTO! " Kiba shouted as he ran towards the fallen Kyna, who was, by now, standing up with the help of the tree.
" Quite resistant, aren't you? " Kanne said as he began to walk towards Kyna. " But what will you do to escape my attacks now than more than one of your ribs are broken? " Kanne asked.
Kyna just smirked under her mask. " My ribs didn't brake, dumbass. " Arrogance colored her usually emotionless voice.
" Damn you, you just don't know when to give up, do you? " Kanne asked. " No matter how many times I try to kill you, you remain alive, you are worse then a cockroach. " Kanne said, quite annoyed.
" Gee, thank you, but I do not like those nasty insects. " Kyna said, shuddering at the thought of one.
" That's a shame, you have so many things in common. " Kanne said as he fired a fire ball at Kyna, who moved away and began to run towards Kanne, the claws of her right hand elongated and turned ice blue in color, she made a swipe with her claws, Kanne moved back and her claws caught the front of his robes, which melted at the contact.
Kanne was still in midair when Kyna placed the open palm of her right hand looking towards Kanne, a transparent blue sphere appeared in her hand and small dagger shaped pieces of ice formed inside. " Koori no Naifu! "
The dagger shaped pieces of ice flew towards Kanne and hit him square in the chest, but instead of dying, Kanne's form turned into a ripped piece of paper.
" A shikigami. " Kyna whispered, then she frowned. - If a simple shikigami was that strong, then how strong is the real Kanne? - Kyna wondered as she knelt beside the piece of paper, which burned and turned to ashes.
" We were fighting against a shikigami and our attacks didn't do any harm to it! " Yusuke exclaimed.
" A shikigami? " Kuwabara asked.
Kiba sighed as he turned towards the Reikai Tantei. " A shikigami is a creature created with the power of the owner, it can have the same form as it's owner or a different one. " He explained.
" Ah. " Kuwabara said.
" Well, now that this is solved, we can get you all and bring you to Koenma. " Yusuke said as he looked towards Kyna, who was picking her bow and quiver from the snow.
" Really? " Kyna asked as she faced Yusuke. " And how do you plan on doing that, detective? "
" I'll knock you unconscious! " Yusuke shouted.
" How if you can't even get close enough to me to do so? " Kyna said, a smile forming in her lips beneath the silver mask she wore.
" Oh, you'll see!! " Yusuke shouted as he ran at Kyna, who only side stepped and Yusuke fell face first in the snow.
Kuwabara burst out laughing along with Kishiri, Genkai, Kiara and Yukina, Kurama tried to hide his chuckle with a cough, failing miserably, Kiba laughed softly, Platina and Hiei just grinned.
" Argh! " Yusuke snarled as he stood up, and as he was going to jump once more at Kyna when a new and unfamiliar voice made itself known.
" It's nice to know you are getting along quite well. " The group turned their heads to a grinning black haired silver eyed black inu, next to him was Len.
" Kurai? " Platina asked, very surprised.
" Platina? What are you doing looking so damn creepy? " The inu asked, slightly confused.
" We are on a mission, mutt. " Kyna said as she rolled her eyes.
" Mutt? you dares call me mutt? " Kurai asked, quite enraged.
" Yeah, what are you going to do about it? " Kyna asked, very calm.
" You ice hearted little brat... " Kurai growled softly.
" Brat? " Kyna asked, astonished laughter in her voice. " Last time I checked, I was older than you, mutt. "
" Stop it, you two. " Len scolded at both dogs, who quieted.
" What are you doing here. " Platina asked.
" Well, I received a call from Koenma, he was quite desperate because of two things, one, he discovered the thief's identity and second, Kanne sent him a message about his plans. " Len stated. " You can remove those hoods now, they are making me nervous. "
The 2 foxes and the 2 dogs shared a look and then nodded, they took out their hoods, to everyone's astonishment.
" Man, she's beautiful! " Kuwabara said as soon as he landed his eyes on Kyna, who turned her narrowed eyes towards him, Kuwabara gulped and hid behind Kurama, who was pale and speechless.
" Hm... " Yusuke said as he appeared in front of Kyna, his eyes were narrowed and he was too close for her own tastes. " You have very weird eyes. " He commented slightly.
" Ningen. " Kyna spat out angrily. " Step back before I do it for you. " She said coldly.
" Make me- " Before he could say anything else, Kyna had punched him hard in his jaw, sending him flying towards the other members of the Reikai Tantei, Yusuke groaned as he stood up, rubbing his jaw.
" I warned you. " Kyna spat.
" Dimwit, you should take Kyna's words seriously, if you don't, you'll have worse than that. " Genkai said as she took in Kyna's appearance once more.
She had definitely changed since she last saw her 55 years ago, her hair was longer, and she looked older and wiser, her eyes held power and determination, as they always had, but now the once bright orbs had lost some of their sparkle, they were also tinted by sadness and pain, but she was glad to see that her inner flame was blazing more vividly than it had been ever before, and the old woman could just wonder why.
She was also a lot more powerful than she had been back then and more skilled, she also seemed more. . .Human somehow.
But at the same time, she was the same untamed and free creature she had been when they met, the same inu youkai that ran carelessly and free with the wind, with nothing to hold her back, and only her 2 friends as companions.
Kyna's ears, as well as Kia, Kurai and Kiba's suddenly perked up, Platina, Len, Kiara and Genkai quieted, waiting for all canines to say something, after a few more seconds, Kyna turned towards the opposite side, her ears moved from one side to another as her eyes narrowed.

" There. " Kyna said, pointing at the direction she was facing. " It's a few miles away, I'm guessing, the sound the wings makes are very strong, I am guessing the wings are very big, a few meters in length, that means whatever creature is coming is quite big. "
" Un. " Kurai said as he moved to stand next to the ice inu siblings. " Yes, quite big indeed, and many of them. "
" I just hope they aren't what I think. " Kiba whispered.
" What? " Yusuke asked.
" I fear the same, aniki " Kyna said as her hand moved to her quiver in her back, she notched an arrow in her bow and waited.

There was a horrible bird-like shriek seconds before 15 horse-sized dragon like birds burst through the part of the forest they were facing, Genkai immediately brought a shield up along with Yukina before a fire blast could burn them, Kiara did the same as she shielded Platina, Kurai, Kyna, Kiba, Len, Kishiri and Kia.
" Len. " Platina said as he looked at Kyna. " Leave the birds to Kyna and myself, we will defeat them easily. " He said, Kyna nodded.
" Ki o tsukete " Len said as the fox and ice inu jumped out of the barrier and stood before the birds, who were readying an attack.
" Ijis..." Both said at the same time as they raised their right hand towards the birds and icy wind enveloped both of them. " Kaze! " They shouted at the same time the birds flew towards them, the first 2 lines of 4 birds froze with the frigid gust of wind, the remaining ones were able to escape the air currents.
" Wow. " Yusuke said, as he, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei and Genkai stepped out of Yukina's barrier. " Now, some time for action. " Yusuke said as he fired a Rei-Gun at another bird, which dropped to the floor, dead.
" They are so weak. " Kuwabara said. " We will finish them off very soon. "
Kurama used his whip to kill another bird while Hiei used his katana to slice another in 2, Kuwabara did the same as Hiei, Genkai sent a wave of punches that killed another while Kyna slashed the remaining 2 with her whip.
Kyna turned around and faced Kiba, his expression was the same Platina, Kiara and Kishiri had. 'What now?' their expressions said, and for once, Kyna herself didn't know what to do.
