Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Trapped between two girls. ❯ A day of glares, work, and just plain weird girls. ( Chapter 19 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

“Kurama come on!” Kitty shouted impatiently from the bottom of the stairs after the mother of the house had left.
“I'll be right down!” Kurama shouted back down to her but not in an angry manner. Kitty tapped her foot a bit impatiently as Kurama came down the stairs a few minuets later in his school uniform.
“I never thought that a person such as yourself would be so anxious to go to school.” He commented and the two of them walked to the door and started to put their shoes on.
It's been a few days Kitty fallen into peaceful a slumber in Kurama's bed with him sitting beside her. Every since then, they have been spending more time together, getting to know one another more, and just enjoying one another's company. But today, Kurama had to go to school to get the work that he had missed all of the day's that he has been absent and spending them with her.
“I just want to get this done and over with!” Kitty said with enthusiasm. She was wearing one of the girls' uniforms from his school, the maroon (A/N: I call it maroon…sorry people but maybe I am just color blind…) Skirt reached about half an inch above her knees and the white and maroon sailor outfit was loose enough to me comfortable on her. Kitty slipped on her left shoe and walked to the door holding it open as Kurama finished with his own shoes.
“Thank you.” Kurama said bowing his head in a polite manner as he walked through the door. Kitty walked out herself and let go of the door letting it slam behind her.
“Oops, sorry about that…” Kitty apologized with a slight sweat drop and a wide, clumsy grin.
“It's alright, it is only a door after all.” Kurama locked the door and then they started to walk to his school.
“You don't' have to come, you realize this correct?” Kurama said looking at her as he walked. Kitty simply nodded her head. Kurama let out a small sigh and continued to walk.
`This is going to be boring… but after talking to Heather on the phone last night I can' help but think that, from the way she was talking, if she is going to suffer going to school because Keiko was making Yusuke go…. then I guess I can go, it's better then staying home alone in the house and I get to be with Kurama all day again!' There was a positive tone in her thoughts and a wide grin was still on her face. Chatty tens in blue uniforms and others in uniforms just like hers and Kurama's seemed to dance around them in the sidewalk as they talked up a storm with their friends. Every one seemed to be talking about how school was going to be and plans about how to spend their time after school before they were confined to their houses to finish any homework that would be given to them to torture them out of social time.
“What's with the blue uniforms?” Kitty asked in a curious way. She was like a newborn child that was exploring the wonders of the new world.
“Those would be the uniforms required by the school that Yusuke and Kuwabara attend.”
“Oh…I see…” She muttered and continued to walk beside Kurama making sure that she wasn't separated from him and lost in the sea of others that were dressed exactly like her.
There were more people, students and teachers alike, as the neared the school. Not only that but there were more girls that were looking at Kurama and swooning over him. Kitty felt a sudden rage of jealously start to well up in her from the looks and the way that the girls were all starry eyed over the guy that she was walking by. Some of them even glared murderous death glares at her as though it was a crime to have Kurama walking to school with her.
`Geese, touchy, touchy girls…maybe I could have a little bit of entertainment with this later…school is bound to get boring after five minuets…' She smirked a bit and they both walked into the school where more people were looking at them. Kitty looked around at the many students as some of the boys looked at her, some of them even winked, as she looked their way.
`What weirdo's…' She thoughts to herself as Kurama stopped at a locker and starts to put the combination into it. Kitty was focusing on the lockers but saw, out of the corner of her eye, a group of girls that were walking towards them. The one in the lead had long, silky blonde hair that went midway down her back. She had a light pink eye shadow on that set off her bright blue eyes and shimmering lip-gloss. The girls that followed her were almost as well pampered looking as her, but she was the one that stood out the most.
“Hello Suichi…” She said in a calm, seductive sort of voice and stopped next to Kurama. She reeked of too much lilac perfume that almost intoxicated both her and Kurama. Kurama opened his locker and looked at the blonde haired girl standing next to him.
“Hello Kristen. “ He greeted in a nice tone and started to rummage through his nicely kept locker. Kristen looked over at Kitty with a sudden cold glare, which was returned by Kitty with an emotionless face.
`What's with her…geese….'? Kitty thought.
“You haven't been in school lately, I was wondering if you were sick.” There was `concern' in her voice.
“No, I am fine.” Kurama said as he finished gathering his books and shutting his locker. As soon as he shut his locker door Kristen moved closer to him.
“Would you like to walk me to class?” She asked in a cutesy sort of voice, as passing boys seemed looked at the scene with eyes that said that they wished they were Kurama. Her friends were looking at her and Kurama accepting him to hold out his arm and her to latch herself onto his arm like every other guy in school was just begging to do, though something else, quite the opposite happened.
“Come on Kurama-kun lets get to class.” Kitty said and latched her arm onto Kurama's free arm. Kristen stood shocked at what just happened but quickly regained her composure and glared at Kitty while Kurama wasn't looking. Kurama looked at Kitty not losing her cool and she winked at him, it was a playful yet mischievous wink and Kurama only smirked the slightest bit.
“Excuse us please.” Kurama said with a nod to the now officially stunned group of girls that watched Kitty and Kurama start to walk away. Kitty looked at Kurama through the corner of her eye.
`This actually feels right…' She thought as she walked closer to him but had to let go as they walked into his first period class. There was a teacher sitting at a desk at the front of the class while the students talked and reminisced before the class started. The teacher looked up at them and suddenly got a happy, sort of relieved, smile on his face and quickly rushed over greeting Kurama.
“Why you are back!” The teacher said in a happy voice before looking over and Kitty.
“This is just one of my friends that has come to visit, my mother thought it would be nice if I brought her to school with me.” Kurama managed to say with a few pauses as though he was making up the excuse as he spoke. The teacher nodded his head and Kitty bowed slightly to be polite.
“Wonderful to have you visiting us…” The teacher trailed off looking at Kitty as though asking for a name.
“Kitty.” She responded and the teacher instructed her to sit in the last desk in the farthest corner, the only open desk in the whole class. Kitty walked over soon followed by Kurama who had been given paperwork from the teacher to complete. He sat down beside her just in time for the bell to ring and the school to begin.

It had been five periods of school and almost every girl in the school had glared at Kitty. It seemed like they were all planning her death, though she knew that none of them could beat her no matter how hard they may have tried.
`No one is better at a cat fight then a Kitty…' She thought to herself as Kurama and her walked outside of the school and over to a bench for lunch. Kurama had packed a lunch but Kitty, however, had completely spaced out in the morning and just skipped the lunch making all at once. People sat around them and were looking curiously at them.
“Who is she? His Girlfriend or something?” Some girls whispered to her friend as they walked past them.
“I don't know.” The other girl shrugged and looked at Kurama before they were lost in the group of students. Kitty couldn't help the small blush that crept onto her face at that one comment as she laid her head on the tabletop and watched Kurama eat.
“Would you like anything?” Kurama asked as he help out half of his sandwich that he had hurriedly put together this morning.
Kitty shook her head, “No, you eat I'm fine I'll eat later…” She gave him a reassuring smile and he looked at her unsure before he continued to eat his food. Soon he finished eating and they both got up and made their way over to the trashcan and he through away his trash. Kristen was looking at them from the other side of the grassy like area with a cold glare towards Kitty as they disappeared into the school building.

After the rest of the periods from school Kitty waited outside for Kurama who soon came and met her at the door.
“Here we are going to go and meet Yusuke and the others if that is aright with you.” Kurama suggested as they started to walk off of the school grounds.
“Yes…maybe I can frustrated Heather even more then school does…” Kitty laughed an evil sort of laugh and Kurama looked at her before moving away from her a bit in a joking sort of manner. Unknown to them though, Kristen and her `posse' were following them as Kitty laughed in at Kurama's actions and they continued to walk.
