The house was relatively calm after Botan ripped another asshole into her unsuspecting boyfriend. Koenma was asleep on the couch like he usually did when Botan got pissed.

The next morning, everyone was in the meeting room, sitting around a table, viewing a large screen. A young man with brown hair layered in the back and parted bangs, closed chestnut brown eyes in frustration. His wardrobe consisted of blue jeans and a black t-shirt.

“Keiko, roll the footage, please.” He commanded, putting his hand to his eyes and leaning against the back of his chair.

A girl wearing a black, tattered skirt and a black, long sleeved, off the shoulder shirt, stood up. Her brown, shoulder length hair was up in a small ponytail. “Yes Koenma, sir.”

She picked up a remote control and pressed a button, bringing up an image of Hiei.

“Hiei, an evil, three thousand-year-old vampire coven leader.” She began in an overly bored voice. “There's been reported covens of his in Paris, New York, New Orleans, and here in Tokyo.” She sighed, clicking another button. “We have yet to find the one here in Tokyo. He has been seen entering different buildings every morning before sunrise.”

The image on the screen showed multiple pictures of Hiei entering different buildings.

“We believe he has, what we like to call, a traveling coven.” Keiko ended her little speech with a sarcastic tone, turning the screen off and sitting down.

“So, what is the plan?” Kurama asked, staring at Keiko.

“Well, we try to track him to his coven house and wait until sunrise to kill him.” She replied, leaning against the back of her chair, spinning it side-to-side out of boredom.

“That won't work.” Came a dark, monotonous voice from a shadowed corner.

Koenma spun around. “Syra! What are you doing here? The sun is up!”

The woman laughed sadistically. “It's cloudy out.” A woman with brown hair and platinum highlights stepped out of the shadows. She wore a black, wool turtle neck sweater with black, fishnet sleeves. Her sleeves looked attached to her leather racing gloves. She wore black, thick material tights. Her black knee high boots came up over her pants and were tied with chains and came to an end at skull buckles. She had a black, sleeveless trench coat lung over her right shoulder, holding it with her pointer and middle fingers. Her mid-back length hair was tied up in a high ponytail, some loose hair coming down over her left, green eye. The other eye was electric blue.

Her three inch heels clicked across the maple, hard wood floor to the empty seat beside Kurama. “And it doesn't matter why I am here. That rhino ass of a plan won't work.” She said, swinging her feet up onto the table and examining her glassy, talon-like fingernails.

Keiko glared. “My plans always work.” She growled, slamming her hands on the table. “Well not this one sweety. He doesn't need to sleep in the daytime. He can walk in the daylight at will, he is so powerful.” Syra said, looking back down at her nails.

“How do you know this?” Kurama asked his girlfriend, confused. Syra went into deep thought, trying to think up the right words. “ I'm a vampire, honey. I've got connections.” She replied, placing her other hand on top of Kurama's.

Kurama rolled his eyes slightly and continued to question her. “You have to tell us. Your `connections' can possibly reveal his whereabouts.”

Syra turned and glared at him, elongating her fangs to half their length, two inches long. “Stop questioning me honey, or I'll be forced to physically harm you.” She snarled.

“Why is a vampire hunting vampires?” Keiko asked, glaring at Syra. Keiko and Syra never got along. “Because I hate being a vampire and I hate the entire race. Now you shut up for once and hear me out. I am possibly the only person here that knows pretty much everything about him and his habits.”

Yusuke nodded. “She's right, Keiko. You should drop your-“ “You're agreeing with her? I can't believe you!” With that, she got up and began to leave.

“Why do you hate me? I wasn't one of the vampires who murdered your family!” Syra called after her.

Keiko still ignored her and left, slamming the door behind her, causing the whole room to vibrate. Koenma sighed. “You're sleeping on the couch man…” He muttered to Yusuke.

“Our numbers are good, but skill, we need one more person.” Syra continued.

“Why?” Botan asked curiously.

Syra grinned. “I'll give you three guesses. Extremely skilled in slaying vampires and werewolves and my really good friend. She's in Paris.”

Koenma smiled, realizing who she was talking about. “Hunter.” Kurama muttered, smiling as well.

“Fitting name, considering her expertise.” Syra said standing up. “I'll go pick her up.”
