Chapter 11: Kidnapped Again

Koenma opened his eyes, then sat up quickly. He wasn’t in Reikai again! And he had been asleep…

“I didn’t want to fall asleep…” he murmured. He looked around. “And why am I in Yusuke’s house again?”

Yusuke was watching him, but Koenma wasn’t paying attention.

“Hey, Koenma.”

Koenma jumped. “Yusuke? Oh, I didn’t notice you… But why am I here?”

“You know why, Koenma. You heard me.”

Koenma looked down. Yusuke frowned, then smiled. “I’m just glad you got to sleep. Botan told me that was the first time in a month, right?”

When Koenma didn’t reply, he continued.

“She said you didn’t eat either, so I got you some ramen.” he held out a small plate.

Koenma looked at him, then at the plate, then back at Yusuke. He then hesitantly took the pacifier out of his mouth and put it in his pocket. Yusuke smiled and handed him the plate and a fork. Koenma ate slowly, watching Yusuke the whole time. Yusuke nodded every once in a while to reassure him. He didn’t know why Koenma was acting like this. He’d have to talk to him about it later.

Koenma put down the plate. He hadn’t eaten all of it, though. Yusuke looked at him confusedly. “How come you didn’t eat the whole thing?”

“I- I wasn’t hungry…” Koenma mumbled. Yusuke shook his head.

“You have to eat, Koenma. It’s been a month. I know you just ate a little, but I don’t want you to get sick.”

“I appreciate your concern, Yusuke, but I’m fine.”

Yusuke put a hand on Koenma’s chest. He frowned. “No, you’re not fine.”

Koenma pulled away. “Yusuke…”

“Koenma, I can freakin’ feel your ribs for crying out loud! You can NOT just sit there and tell me nothing’s wrong!”

“Yusuke, don’t touch me…” Koenma remembered Sensui’s touch, cold and silent. He tried to control himself, but his breath quickened involuntarily.

Yusuke leaned closer. “Are you sure you’re alright, Koenma? You don’t look so good.”

“Y-Yusuke, d-don’t touch me…” Koenma leaned away.

Yusuke frowned. Koenma looked… scared of him. What happened? He hadn’t been acting like this a month ago… then again… a lot of things can happen in a month.

“Please Koenma, I don’t want to hurt you. Just tell me what happened,” he said gently.

Koenma hesitated. Yusuke seemed truly concerned… Maybe he could tell him…

“Okay, but promise not to tell anyone, alright?” he asked seriously. Yusuke nodded.

“Alright then…”

“Well, Sensui had taken me into that room, and I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t realize what he was going to do until he had chained me…”

Yusuke nodded encouragingly when Koenma trailed off. He took a deep breath and continued.

“Then he broke my shoulder, and he took my shirt off… He did a lot of other things… He tried to kiss me, but I wouldn’t let him. Then he… he…” Koenma trailed off again, remembering what had happened, but couldn’t say it.

“It hurt so much, Yusuke… I don’t know how it got the way it did in the end, but he… oh, don’t make me remember it!” he cried, tears welling up in his eyes. He buried his face in his knees. “Don’t make me remember…”

Yusuke blinked. If he was saying what he thought he was saying, then he didn’t understand how it got how it got in the end either. But still… Anger flared in him. He wished Sensui was next to him so he could kill him.

“Did he-”

“No,” Koenma said silently. “Or at least not physically. But it felt like he did…” he whispered. Tears fell out of his eyes. He started crying.

Yusuke felt a mix of pity for Koenma, and a steadily growing anger and hatred for Sensui. He wiped away Koenma’s tears with his thumb and leaned against him.

“It’ll be alright,” he said softly.

“I hope you’re right, Yusuke…”

When Koenma’s breathing slowed, Yusuke laid him down on the bed and watched him for a short while. Then, sensing an unwelcome presence, went outside.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, annoyed. Sensui smirked.

“I found out that when I was with your friend I was… attracted to him in a way.”

Yusuke growled. “If you get anywhere near him after what you did to him-”

“I didn’t. At least not yet. It was only in his mind, as he’s probably told you, but the pain was quite real.”

Yusuke narrowed his eyes. “Get away from my house. Now,” he said coldly. “Or I will kill you.”

Sensui laughed. “You can’t kill me, Yusuke. I have the Sacred Energy Armour.”

Yusuke smirked. “But you can’t activate it, or…” he trailed off. “Actually, I’m not sure what we’d do.”

“All the more reason to just give me what I want. And I will make sure that I get what I want, because I have backup.”

“Tell me it’s not just Karasu and then I’ll worry,” Yusuke said, starting his Spirit Gun.

“Well then, start to worry, Spirit Detective. It’s the Toguro brothers.”

Yusuke frowned. “How the heck did you get them to help you?”

“Maybe because we felt like it.”

Yusuke turned around and was about to fire his Spirit Gun, but the younger Toguro punched him in the gut and sent him flying into a tree. Yusuke groaned.

“Oh well… At least I didn’t go through the damn tree…”

When he looked back up, the older Toguro was gone.

“Where’d he go?” Yusuke mumbled, looking around.

“Inside,” the younger Toguro replied. “While I stop you from making a big mess of everything.”

The older Toguro came out of the house, carrying Koenma, who was still asleep, on his back.

“Koenma!” Yusuke yelled. “Wake up!” He tried to run over, but the younger Toguro held him back.

“We’ll be going now,” Sensui said, and they disappeared. A small piece of paper was left on the ground. Yusuke picked it up.

“We will bring your friend back either this evening or tomorrow morning, depending on when he wakes up.” * * *

So, what’d you think? I’m having a hard time deciding what Sensui’s going to do… I’m not going to write it, but it’s going to come into play soon. You can tell me what you want him to do if you want. Next chapter up tomorrow, ‘cause I’m gonna be on the computer a lot after school. Ja ne!

Review if you wish.
