Still blushing furiously, you snatch your hand away. “Yeah, sure...”
Silence followed.
“May I ask you a question?” Yoko said, finally breaking it.
“Fine” was your reply.
“Why is your scent not complete kitsune?”
You sighed. “Because I’m part wolf.”
Yoko’s eyes widened and he jumped aside. “WOLF?”
Your expression was apathetic, but you slowly nodded your head, stood, and started to walk back. He came beside you, stopping you by putting a hand on your shoulder. “Yes?” you asked not looking at him.
“Please...explain.”
You sat next to him against a tree and began, “My brother and I are hybrids. I inherited mostly kitsune traits from my mother as he got his wolf traits from father. Basically, my parents fled to the human world to escape their clans and I’ve only recently discovered my powers.”
“Izuru... I knew I had heard that name before. Your parents were the betrayers of both clans, correct?”
You nodded.
“So you are their youngest child? Interesting, but it seems you have a lot to learn about kitsunes as your brother will learn about wolves,” he said standing.
You blinked again. “Wait, what do you mean by that?”
“Just because Kurama has complete control it doesn’t mean that I can’t see what’s going on in the real world. I saw your fight with Hiei. How you lost control. You think it wise to not know how to handle them? And the fact you have wolf blood coursing through your veins only makes things more difficult,” he said. You looked away clenching your fists.
“I can handle my powers fine. I don’t need any help.”
“Hard to believe; that’s why you’re here isn’t it? Koenma fears you will lose control and cause nothing but chaos. Though, the real problem would be if you and your brother ever combined,” Yoko said still remaining calm as you continued to clench your fists, glaring at him.
“[Sigh] Is that so?” you asked and Yoko nodded. “Well then I’ll just have to take training up a notch. No prob,” you said cracking your knuckles, which made Yoko roll his eyes.
“Oh you think I can’t handle myself, do you?” you asked glaring from the corner of your eye.
“No, I don’t.”
“Why I outta... ” You were about to tackle him, but in an instant his hand struck out and grasped one of your ears. Your eyes widened, but he only massaged them, causing your eyes to fall sleepily, your body became weak, and a soothing purr came out of you. You clasped a hand to your mouth, your face burning in embarrassment, but he only smirked dangerously. Your anger rising, you managed a glare and slapped his hand away. “What am I, a dog? ” you almost snorted.
“Well partially, you are wolf,” he said and you grabbed part of his toga.
“Smart ass....” you mumbled just loud enough for him to hear, releasing your grip and glaring at him.
He seemed amused. “Yes, petting animal kitsunes is just as much their weakness as it is to us,” Yoko said crossing his arms.
You arched a brow. “Us? So you mean it works on you too?” you said inching toward him.
“Don’t even think about it,” he said backing away.
“Aw, is the little kitsune afraid to be petted?” You teased, dashing after him. It turned into a chasing as you tried to catch him but he was always out of your reach. You managed to grab his tail and knock him down eventually.
“Ha ” you yelled in victory, and then you got Yoko in a headlock and gave him a huge noogie. “HA HOW DOES THAT FEEL? NOW WHO’S THE DO---“ you started screaming hysterically but halted when you realized.

Yoko had transformed back.

Now you had Kurama in a headlock and you had just given him a noogie and yelled crazily at him. He gave you a very confused look as he was now conscious and you quickly got away. “Uh.. sorry about that Kurama...eh heh...” You said with a [Sweat Drop] while rubbing the back of your head. You laughed nervously thinking, /Yoko if I ever get my hands on you I’ll.... / as Kurama tried standing.

No luck.

You sighed knowing the poison was spreading inside his body and helped him up. Putting his arm around your shoulder, you started to limp back to the house. You were completely oblivious to Kurama’s blushing with Yoko’s words still running through your mind. It was obvious that he could tell you more than the toddler about kitsunes and wolves, but the only problem was- [Glances at Kurama]- you’ll have to wait until Yoko has control again.
