This is honestly one of the best stories I've ever read, and definitely one of the best fan fics I've been lucky enough to stumble across on a sleepless night. The story was beautiful and blended in with SC so well that you could probably pitch it to the original writers and have someone animate a sequel. I loved the series, and you really brought it back to life. Your writing is so good that I could see the entire story in my mind just like another episode of SC. You're truly a great writer, and I hope you have a lot of success! Thanks for writing this story, I truly I enjoyed it.

I left a review for this fic over on aff.net, but that was before I had finished watching all of Samurai Champloo. Although you pointed out the fact that it would be confusing to read your fic before finishing the series I read it anyway, and I loved it. Once I finally finished watching every episode I had these random thoughts running through my mind of both the series and your fic when it dawned on me how much of an understatement that was! It also brought me to whole new level of appreciation of the thought, care and effort you put into your writing. So, wow. Just wow. Stunned into speechlessness I've left you a rating instead.

This is by far one of the most well written fics I have ever read! It was so great I couldn't stop reading it! I just started it yesterday and I finished it right now at 1:10 A.M. You write wonderfully- the wording is great! You have a beautiful talent thanks for sharing it with us!!

OMG I have never ever had a story get to me like this one did, I stayed up for two days and one night to finish this thing I could not put it down, I was heartsick thinking she would not pick Jin and I was mad the whole time to. I tell you, you are the most incredible writer I have ever come across to bring these kids of emotions out it was just a roller coaster ride from start to finish...lord I hope you write more and more. Wonderful is just not a strong enough word to use for your writing EXCELLENT, FANTASTIC,BREATH TAKING and that still would not cover it. Thanks soooooooooo much for the ride.

Okay first thing, this story came off as a typical romance novel. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of that kind of writing. HOWEVER I was compelled to read the whole damn thing through to the end. So as much as a back-handed compliment that sounds, I really think it reflects well on your writing style. Though the ending and some plot elements may be slightly cliche (it's hard for them not to seem that way), your style of writing overcomes that and engages the reader which isn't easy to do (at least for my writing it isn't). And please don't be insulted when I say cliches, because I believe most stories contain the same core elements (kinda like chords in music) and it's difficult not to encounter them. What differentiates the better stories from others is the ability of the writer to overcome this and I believe you have been able to and I give you much kudos. As for the technical aspects, I saw a few errors here and there. Most of those errors weren't grevious. I noticed a stray letter popping here and there usually in Mugen's dialog when you're trying to capture his slang. I place that on the doorstep of autoformatting. I liked how you used lines of a poem to title each chapter and made it work. Very creative and constructive. I also liked how you carefully tied all of your elements together and it didn't seem like you threw everything together at the very end. You were very effective in keeping the reader guessing who was going to end up with Fuu all the way to the 33rd chapter (the last 3 really were her dealing with her decision essentially). So that's all I can think to say on this story and I hope it explains why I rated it like I did. I think you did a great job and I hope you continue to write more stories in the future... but maybe next time something in a different style. ;p Thanks for keeping me entertained. Bastion

OKay... I don't know if I ever reviewed this story before. I started reading it a long time ago, but somehow I couldn't get into it...I recognised the good writing, but somehow the story wasn't working for me. so I bookmarked it and decided to come back. let me just say, I'm so glad I did. I read it over from beginning to end and I've just caught up. You made me laugh, you made me hate you, you made me breather sighs of relief and then hold my breath in fear...I love how this is turning out. My onliy gripe was some of the fangirl Japanese, but as the chapters went on, you got better at explaining things.I was so mad at you when Fuu initially chose Mugen. not that I'm a Jin fan or anything, but from your story, I was just hurt for Jin, you did a good job at making the characters human. It was even more sad when Jin took it so calmly. and now you're killing him. honestly I knew it was coming but i'm happy nonetheless because I can tell you put alot into this story. if i'm sad at the ending, i won't hold that against you. email me anytime you want some specific feedback, i'm honest and glad to help. good job so far though. can't wait for the next...

I've waited for the moment when Jin and Fuu got together and... and... he... DIES! Not cool. I love Jin. I wonder and I hope Fuu will be alright. I cried during this chapter. But it still is a great story. I take it the next chapter will be the last? Man, that sucks. This is one of my favorites. One of the best Samurai Champloo fics out there.

I have to agree- this is getting a bit 'rough', and Fuu is starting to become very unappealing. I still love reading every chapter(I am really 'hooked'!)and I will stick with you to the very end. I just hope that Fuu's character doesn't foul everyone up to the point that even Jung wouldn't touch the three of them with a ten foot pole! Thanks again for a great time and I look forward to each installment ;)

I love the line about how different they kiss, heh I'm going to be glad with Jin/Mugen/whichever show her that 'it' can be much better than the brothel. I really like how this is coming together.

so i finished the series last night at like 2am and had to get online to find a fiction well worth reading that would follow up quite nicely to the show. this one takes the cake. you have incorperated not only the main characters but all the alies (and enemies) that they meet along the way. and the history that you put in behind your words; your dedication is evident by the writing. this story is amazing, and it fits in so well that i can just about see the characters flowing freely in my mind while i read. you're very well rounded with their personalities and have nailed a number of traits right on the head for them all. i can honestly say that i havne' taken notice to a single OOC. very well done!!! i really hope that you decide to continue this story. i notice that there are few reviews, and that saddens me only because of how well done this story is. keep the chin up and hopefully i'll be reading updates soon!!!
