Tons of apologies! I've been too busy in real life and had to forego writing/reading fiction for two weeks, what a nightmare! Nevertheless, here I am to comment on yet another superb chapter! A Chance! A chance with Kaoru, w00t! Though I've gotta say I adored their conversation and her reaction to his possibly being a vampire. The rescue scene is SO CUTE!!!!!! Honto kawaii!!!! Keep writing, more more!

ARG! Angst! ARG! Wow, Gensai-sensei moves quick! However, I have the feeling he only hastened things between Kenshin and Kaoru, rather than stopped the budding bloom... Kenshin won't give up, and Kaoru's a seriously curious neko in this story. I can't WAIT to see their next meeting together! Kenshin obviously won't confront her about her disease, but will she confont him about his 'disease'? The plot thickens!!!

Awesome chapter!!!! Definitely worth the wait, and now I'm burning to read more! A vampire whom feeds off his own blood, that is a VERY intriguing idea! I like the Kenshin/Gensai-sensei scene, volatile interaction, very nice. I love how the scenes with Sampson now leave me with feelings of irritation since he keeps Kenshin away from Kaoru. Excellent writing, able to wrought forth such feelings! I can't wait for your next chapter! :)

I have a habit of not leaving chapter one reviews unless it's an author I know that will actually complete their story... Now that I know there's a chance you'll complete this one, allow me to say I am VERY much enjoying this story and have added it to my favorites. The vampire theme in RK is usually so cliche that I can't bring myself to suffer them, however, this story has intrigue, plot and character development, and enticement leaving the reader desiring for more. I look forward to further excellent prose from you. Thank you for a wonderful beginning. :)

Vampire fics are awesome! Though, I am sick of the same type of vampire plots (hope that you're not confused) Original, that's greatly written, is worshipped in my eyes... *bows to your story* Can't wait for the next chapter. XD

At the mention of a vampire fic, I did, admittedly, roll my eyes. But then realized it's a fic with a vampire, and not about vampires. And there's a difference, and I'd imagine this story wouldn't be nearly as good if Kenshin were, say, a night watchman, right? Regardless, this is great first chapter, and I'm very much looking forward to seening how it all plays out. Oh, and I really love the name Sampson for Kaoru's dog!
