I really liked this story! It had a lot of the same characters from your story "A Simple Legacy" but it was a completely new idea. I think you did a wonderful job of telling the story of Inuyasha in a very different way. I would love to read more of you work. I hope you will continue to write. |

This was a fun story to read. I think the switching from future to past/dream sequence was just right and not confusing. You did a great job of integrating some original elements of the story without retelling the whole manga.

Could do with a little editing here and there for some random grammar issues - but otherwise, I absolutely loved this fic. It's great to find a good, long story that I can really get into and feel like I've been sucked into that world, and not too many people seem to manage it. Thanks for pulling it off :-)

Chapter 2: Cute. So~ someone cast a spell on Inu-tachi. And someone else is trying to steal perfume secrets from one of Sesshomaru's employers? Seem random. Oh! Speaking of stealing, where'd Naraku? I'm guessing he's lurking until Kagome unlocks her powers. I wonder how he'll come into play. Q: Where are Koga and Akiyama in the modern era? I hope you've included them in the future... Well, I can't wait for he 'Demon Carnival' scene. That should be entertaining, to say the least (no pun intended). *continues reading*

Chapter 1: There are some spelling and grammar mistakes (i.e. there are no plural conjugations within the Japanese language - ex. hanyou is both singular and plural), but other than that, the introduction is pretty good. My only advice would be to proof read/get a beta for the next story. I do have a couple of questions though. The first of which is about Sachimaru. I'm wondering if Sesshomaru and Kagome's son (I'm going out on a limb and guessing that's who this 'Sachimaru' demon is), is the reason why Kagome awoke from her 'coma'. Because the way you wrote it, it seemed like he appeared within the span of a few days of Kagome returning home. It'd make sense, I guess... Another about the necklace Sachimaru was wearing is. It sounds like Inuyasha's subjection necklace; though if the scene with Madame Centipede didn't occur, he really should never have received it. Another: Why, if Kagome is twenty-years-old, successfully adopted Sachimaru and has a job does she still live at the shrine? I'm also wondering why Koga had Kagome dress in his tribe's clothing. He wasn't keeping her (though why he wasn't taken with her is another question; maybe you hold the more popular belief that Koga only 'loves' Kagome because of her power to sense the jewel). And finally - WHERE is the jewel? Or maybe a more appropriate question would be why aren't more youkai sensing it? *thinks* ...Well, I hope most of my questions will be answered as I continue reading. I'm try to keep reviewing. Love love love love it! I came across this story this summer and then over the past two months somehow missed your updates. SO glad I found it again to read through to the end. Beautifully written AU. You kept everyone in character, the plot was believable. Just delicious.

I love the originality of this story. I've reviewed over at IYFF and a single spark, too, but I thought it would be nice to review here too. It was such a great plot, and very well put together. Congrats on finishing this - your hard work paid off in the form of a very successful story.

I loved it =] I feel like punching Akiyama in the face though. Seriously. I'm not one for SessXKag, but when I find a good story that has them as a couple, no one else should interfere! hehe. I'm weird about unrelenting guys, going after other's girls. So if Kagome's scent is back, does that mean that Sachimaru's scent is too? Or would she have to unmask his seperately or something? nice chap. i think you should start the other story when Kagome is around 20 or something, it is just not as good when the characters are so young! no experience that young.
