That was really hard to read. It was more than I expected and it really had me blinking rapidly. The talk with Nez and Belle was just right and Nez's personalitly was just the right touch to match the feelings Belle was juggling inside--not to prying, not to cliche--just right. And, hey, a little comic relief thrown in, in between befroe BAM! **cue suspenseful/angsty music** THE TALK. I'm so glad Belle's opening herself to be understanding and that she finally talked to Kurt and that, as much as she was hurting and angry, she DID try to see where he was coming from. The things you do for your kids... Belle had my sympathy through the entire chapter. The fact that she was open enough to see and sympathize with his past trials and current recriminations says a lot for the heart Belle can't help but have for others, even in this such a situaltion. And KURT, woman! Whoo, he strikes me as such a great potential father figure. And he loves Stinky-butt! You can SEE it! The visit with the Coopers is gonna weigh on him a lot and I wonder how he's gonna deal with it? He seems to be all about what the child needs and I can't help but be moved by his concern but, either way, I SO wish he and Sami could keep her. **sniffle** That talk between him and Belle was just...one of the slowest reads I 've ever had. I had to stop and reread, digest, sigh, wipe a tear, and force myself to continue. I love how honest and real it was and how it touched on bothe their need to love and be the best them they could be for Sami. It was an emotional read. A good one! Wow, you really gave me one hell of a chapter to chew on till next week, Sue, and I thank you! It was just perfect!

I really liked the conversation with Nezumi, her advice was so good and Bell asked Kurt just the right questions and I am so glad that Kurt answered her finally!! I think Kich needs to have a talk with "mommy" for some understanding lessons now...

OMG!! I'm sooo glad that Belle was able to at least try and accept what Sami was saying and I thought it was cute that Kurt actually told her mother. I have been at a camp all week with no internet access so I was really bummed out when I remembered I was missing your chapters....

I was glad that Belle went and talked to Kurt. Maybe she might still not be able to forgive him, but at least she has a better understanding of him now.

Im really happy that Belle talked to Kurt. At least she now knows why he captured Sami. Awesome chapter Sue and cant wait for the next one to come out!

I'm crying for the hundredth time in as many days thanks to this story. Kurt and Belle's little heart-to-heart was just so... I dunno how to say it. "sweet" isn't quite the right word, or "sad". "Poignant", maybe. And I hope the little girl stays. I think Sami's right... The Conors can't ever understand the little girl the way Sami and Kurt can...

You dod an excelent job and I cant wait for the next chapter, Keep up the good work, and dont let your ideas stray. You have a good storyline that could easily pan out to 100 chapters or more if played in the write direction. Don't be afaid to shoot for the stars, and keep writeing. Althought the brutal beating Kurt has taken upon himself to endure and not fight back. This chapter was meaningful and meaning-full he has been able to retell the story of his tragic childhood and swear he will watch over Sammi. I like the chapter, it is one of my favorites up until now :) Thank you Sue!

And...I love Belle again! Not that I ever stopped, I was just very frustrated with her. Now that she has come to our side, maybe she can get Kich to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. Yeah, good luck with that Belle-chan!
