Wow, that was so beautiful. And sad... so Vegeta just dropped the crown that Trunks made for him because he didn't even care enough to look at it? Or did he actually see what was written on it and just didn't care, and dropped it anyway? I wasn't too clear on that part. Either way, it was very sad. You wrote it well. I was left feeling touched by the innocence of it, and yet wanting to cry.

How sad; How awful. absolutely awful. And yet SO in character. Trucks would quietly desperately hope his father showed up, and Vegeta wouldn't. His schoolmates no doubt assumed Trunks was inventing the whole bit about being a prince of his people just to have something good to say about his father. Then when Vegeta picks Trucks up to make sure he gets home safely, Vegeta just drops the crown into the rain and muck. I want Goku or someone to smash Vegeta into the landscape until he can't get up for a long long time.

awwwwwwzz...this made me cry...well, we all know Vegeta loves Trunks, he's just too prideful to show it. i do like this though, it definitely shows Trunks' love for his father...maybe a sequel??? hehehe, you know, maybe Vegeta coming to his senses and letting go of his damn pride for just a little while ^_^?? heehee, anywayz, i did like this a lot, and i hope you write more about this subject ^_^! ~Vegeta's Mate and Lover for Life, Veggie_Luva_101 =3
