Ooh! Royal intrigue! Were the merchants in league with an enemy to get an assassin in the court? Dalal and Muna seem to be mostly bluster right now but they could turn really dangerous as their position weakens. Great story! Can't wait to see what happens next!

I don't think Sango will mind taking second place but the other two will be out for Kagome if she so quickly becomes the favorite. At least Kagome will have Sango watching her back and when Shiori comes she will help Kagome and Sango against the others. It might be nice if Kagome protects Shiori from something and Shiori uncovers a plot against Kagome. Looking forward to what happens next.

you could have always gone on the net and look some thing up, say some thing about a grey horse (cause most people would always call a horse a white horse) or about the breed, (probably Arabian because of it being a desert (Trakehner, once known as the East Prussian horse, a breed of riding horse. The Trakehner is considered by many to be the ideal competition horse and Europe's best warmblood (a horse displaying the lighter, faster qualities of the Arabian and other desert horses). Akhal-Teké, breed of horse native to the desert oases of Turkmenistan, east of the Caspian Sea and north of Iran. One of the oldest horse breeds, the Akhal-Teké has been bred and raced for at least 3000 years. This horse is prized for its desert hardiness-it has remarkable endurance and resistance to heat. Arabian, also called Arab, one of the oldest horse breeds, native to the Arabian Peninsula. The Arabian was the horse of the Bedouin people (nomadic Arabs) as early as 3000 to 2500 BC. This ancient, pure breed is widely regarded as the definition of beauty and elegance in horses. Acknowledged as the primary ancestor of the Thoroughbred horse, famed for its speed, strength, and endurance, the Arabian has influenced the development of almost all modern horse breeds. i just can't help feeling badly for Sango. That blank look on her face couldn't have been her contemplating what position she wanted to try out with the prince. Is she really bummed about having to sleep with the prince until he gets tired with her? Does she think about the future at all? I know sango traditionally ends up with Miroku, but is she even allowed to think about other guys like spiritual advisers. Poor Sango! Nice cliffhanger, by the way, about Kikiyo. I wondered when she would come into this story.

Great update, yet again! I was actually wondering throughout previous chapters if you were going to throw the Kikyo wrench into the works. I'm guessing she may have been the previous favorite? Who knows! -Other than you... ;p Please update soon! You're doing a great job on this story.

Nice update. I like the relationship that Sango and Inuyasha seem to have. Though why do I think Sango is pining for Miroku with her wish for something else. If Sango does end up with Miroku it will allow Kagome and her to maintain a friendship after Kagome finishes falling in love with Inuyasha.

*smilingly softly* I'm even more convinced then before that Inuyasha will find himself in a situation like his father's after the explanation of the Tiger Lilly Pavilion. So I'm just wondering about the naming of the pavilions... I can see Inuyasha as having a peter pan complex, and Sesshy is all uptight and formal and the heir to the throne, and I suppose his ears do stick out a little. So does that mean the king has a genie lurking around somewhere? Also I am curious are you planning on explaining why all the servants are so rude... I'm sure there is a reason, like they work for Naraku or something, but at this time it isn't all that apparent.
