:) Hooray! Finally, the dam breaks and Kagome realises the secret to her powers. I really, really like the idea that it's tied to her love for Inuyasha - it gives their bond an added layer of depth and strength, the sort that sends thrills down the reader's spine :D And of course, now that the enemy can't find her - ooh, they have roused his anger now! But I think 'the Seer' can take care of herself - after all, she's managed to do it so far, no? Great update!!

I hope Chikako will be okay, but maybe Yuji deciding to pay her a visit will actually be a good thing, if the others are paying attention and are able to confront him while he's out of hiding. Still, I'm glad how things have turned out (so far) for Kagome. Inuyasha makes a very good point, the cruelty of having to live all of those years anyway, only to watch her flutter off to her death without being able to stop her lest he trigger a devastating paradox, would have been impossible to bear. This way, he at least was able to live through all of those years with the optimism of knowing that he and Kagome would be given a second chance. It's a controlled paradox. Something tells me they aren't out of the woods, yet, but discussing the mate-bonding with her should be a bit easier now. Keep up the good work!

Eeee HOLY CLIFFHANGERS, BATMAN! LOL, you give us just enough each time to nearly hang ourselves with anticipation. I'm *so* thrilled I finally had the chance to sit down and reread this story, and catch up on it. I absolutely loved the confrontation between the two women ~ as hard as Kagome has been throughout this entire story, and as tough as her journey has been, it was really nice to see the 'other woman' confront her and kinda force her hand when it came to dealing with her feelings for Inuyasha. You have that feeling that sort of angsting could go on indefinitely (just like in the canon, LOL), so its nice to see it will all come to a head. I wasn't surprised at all that it was just the two of them in the room made from Kagome's subconscious, but I was a bit surprised that she didn't beat around the bush. And of course you cut us off at the good part! Now I wanna know what happens! It feels like we're heading toward the climax of the story, as Kagome finally learns just what is the key to embracing and fortifying her power. I'm very much looking forward to the rest of the ride, and I hope we have an update sooner rather than later! :D

This is a great story. I'm glad I ran across it again. I can't wait to find out what happens next. Wow, it's a wonder that Sesshoumaru allowed Chikako to live. I'm shocked. Can't wait to find out whether or not, or how much, Inuyasha took advantage of having concubines. I imagine that, back then, if he hadn't used them, it would have caused problems in the court. I don't know how an arranged marriage would cause problems since he didn't go through with it. Man, that Yuji is bad. I hope that Kagome decides to mate with Inuyasha. It's too dangerous for her not to. Screw whether or not she feels like it. It looks like the world is depending on her. Ah well. This is very intriguing and I look forward to the next update. ^_^ Snow

Whoa, for a second there, I actually thought Sesshoumaru's suspicions about Chikako had been well-placed, but then it turns out she really is helping Kagome. Even if the girl ends up getting temporarily screwed up in the head from her old jealousy and insecurities about Kikyou, she needs to remember. I know it'll all work out in the end. Still, I can't wait to see what you do to get us there. Good job so far! Keep it comin'!

LOL WAT! OMG, that was quite the bombshell to drop at the end of this chapter! psyco_chick32 clued me into it, but until she said something? I totally would not have guessed that she was Inuyasha's long-lost almost-wife!! Wow, talk about glossing over the fine details of a story...what can I say? This just makes it all the more intriguing, really! Now I have to wonder why she's helping them out so much, especially if she realizes Kagome is her main rival. Hmm...and WTF is up with our villain? I don't like it when villains are quiet for so long - it usually means they're up to no good. I'm looking forward to more of this!!!

First of all - woohoo for the update! :) Hehe. This is really, really nice. I like how you portray the shift in the brothers' relationship. I think you said it best in the next-to-last scene: that it was tense, but respectful. It was time for Inuyasha to pick up the pieces of his life and move on - if he and Sesshoumaru were going to survive to the present, it was in their best interests to band together :) What an awesome flashback chapter!! I also like that you allowed a small part of Miroku here, binding Inuyasha to the promise that probably kept him alive in the ensuing years. I guess he and Sango did see Kagome's strange future world after all, no? *sigh* I'm looking forward to seeing Kagome's reaction to the story, and how this allows her to continue moving forward!! Thanks for the wonderful update.

i have to say... i think chapter 22 is my fav so far...next to the recap of kagome's death..XP lol i love how your fic just keeps getting better and better...almost like you can see the author growing as they writeXP it was so good that i had to commentXP great job=D

Absolutely beautiful :) For all your worries, you really did Sesshoumaru justice here, showing how and why he'd changed and was willing to hold out a hand to his brother after so many years. You filled the gaps nicely from the last draft I saw. And I still have to say how much I love this setting you've picked!! You're inspiring my muses, LOL. I look forward to more!

ARGH! You can't stop there, LOL ~ you are learning the art of dangerous cliffhangers all too well, my friend! :D What an excellent chapter. I love that everyone is starting to settle down and sort things out so that they have a cohesive plan to move forward. I'm curious about this intrigue with Sesshoumaru on the side, this 'minor business' to be taken care of...hmm, very shady! And, of course, the heating up of the Inu/Kag alone time - yum! I love that Sango named one of her daughters after her best friend, what a wonderful memorial. Also, yay for the hint of Kohaku/Rin! :) I looked at the pictures you included in your author's notes and that room is absolutely amazing!! I had something similar in mind for Memento Mori but I thought it was just something to dream up, not that it could be real!! You rawk, and so does this story. I look forward to the next chapter - and the rest of Inuyasha's past!!
