This is just incredibly beautiful! I was drawn in immediately by the way you laid it out. I am amazed and enchanted by how full a story it is told in such a manner. It can be very tricky in a one-shot to show a slow progression of a relationship, but you did it perfectly. I was intrigued that Inuyasha just left the group, and couldn't help but wonder where he went and why, but if fit the story so well. I also wonder why she suddenly vanished "back to the future" after so much time had passed. I am delighted to have sparked any thoughts or love for Hiei/Kagome. ^_~ And I hope you DO go ahead and write a companion piece to this from Kagome's pov. This one is a masterpiece! ^_^

Ah that was so cute. Hiei and Kagome are the best together that's for sure.I hope you write more stories about them.

I particularly liked the cadence in the beginning. "When I first saw her, this, this, this, and this... I was totally wrong." "when I first met her..."
