| Title: Chapter 18 (for real this time) Reviewed By: LuxKen27 [MediaMiner Member] On: October 01, 2009 22:26 CDT Comment/Review: LOL, see how you confuse me by updating more often than I'm used to! :P That previous review was, of course, for Chapter 17 Freedom. I was really surprised and pleased to see this update from you tonight, and it finally spurred me over here to see what's what ~ that, and your elusive summary at un_love_you! Hmm. We've had Miroku & Kagome meet, and now the other parts of this mess are meeting face to face. Let's see what they have in common...Ahhhh. I really like the depth you give Inuyasha here, to allow him to realize the mistake he made and that maybe the prize wasn't worth the battle. It's interesting that he says he doesn't think he and Kagome will ever be happy...no wonder he's regretting his actions now! Tsk, tsk. This also shines new light on the way Kagome acted towards Miroku as well. Its obvious both Inuyasha and Kagome aren't in the same place, as a couple, as Miroku and Sango are, separately (if that makes any sense...) It seems our leads have been able to move forward from this traumatic event, now they just have to figure out how to get back to one another on level ground again. Very well played!!
| Title: Chapter 18 Reviewed By: LuxKen27 [MediaMiner Member] On: October 01, 2009 22:20 CDT Comment/Review: Once again, this is really beautiful. You managed to show us the dichotomy between Miroku and Kagome's feelings, and where each of them stood in their journey to overcome the very hurtful end of their relationship. There are some really wonderful phrases: He was more than willing to go to hell but only if he could take her with him. AND Now he was wise enough to know that he could not release her from the guilt that plagued her- only she had that power. AND for the first time he finally understood what it meant to be free. Just wonderful! The careful way you choose your language leaves us, the readers, breathless as we're swept away :) The idea that Sango saved Miroku kinda doesn't jive with Miroku's line of thinking, that *he* finally broke free...but at the same time, it makes sense. How ironic that this little revelation comes at a time when he and Sango are at odds.
| Title: Chapter 16 Reviewed By: LuxKen27 [MediaMiner Member] On: September 19, 2009 01:04 CDT Comment/Review: This is absolutely beautiful! I continue to marvel at your ability to pack so much into so few words - nothing is wasted. The imagery here is just amazing. I especially liked this line: Sango scoffed at the idea of forgiveness. It was petty but she liked the burn of the anger in her soul. In my own drabblings with this pair, I've found the same sort of stubbornness. Her strength can also be her weakness, and that's what makes Sango, Sango. Your 'In the Rain' chapter is still one of my most favorite pieces of exposition for her. I really like how these two are coming to grips with the mess they've made, and it feels like they have turned the corner, willing to admit to themselves that in order to move forward, its going to take a lot of work, and maybe some pain, but the reward at the end will be well worth it. I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle the second half of this story, and ~ as always ~ exquisitely beautiful work :) Thanks for sharing!

| Title: Chapter Thirteen Reviewed By: LuxKen27 [MediaMiner Member] On: June 08, 2009 09:40 CDT Comment/Review: Wow, this was absolutely stunning! I went back and read the last few chapters to refresh my memory of the story, and it was like the train came barrelling down the tracks - from the confrontation to spilling her guts to Miroku to him kicking her out to her finally facing her past. Absolutely breathtaking!! You definitely have a feel for these sorts of emotionally gut-wrenching scenes. It's interesting, that for all his sorrow, Miroku snapped at her and asked her the one question she didn't want to hear - I can't help but wonder if you figured out the reasons why you're running. I can see exactly how that was the tipping point for her, and the shame and embarrassment she felt upon going back to the place where she was humiliated so badly. Sango has a lot of pride, and so many people miss that - but you captured it beautifully here, in her reactions to Kaede's gentle probing. Absolutely exquisite!! I can't wait for more!!

You did a great job portraying her inner angst here. I like that you acknowledged the fact that she panicked when she felt herself sliding off the cliff, admitting she was halfway in love and knew that there was no turning back. The justification of her actions makes sense, but at the same time I just wanna grab her, shake her, and tell her to hang on to him if she wants him! Yeah, he's going to have to do a great deal of the heavy lifting, but its always easier to fight through mud when you know someone has your back. Great addition!!

And the fiery streak in Sango that Miroku usually brings out. I love this. This is one of the few Miroku/Sango fics that has grabbed my attention and kept it AND its one of the story alerts I'm excited to find in my inbox when I wanna kick back with some good fics :) I'm really enjoying the story...especially now with their "characters" coming out the more they get to know one another, the idea of Sango helping him heal, despite--as revealed in this chapter--having her own insecurities, and of course, the delicious drama Inu/Kag bring to the table all coming to a head. Until next chapter! I can't wait to see whats in store next for the duo! ~Amber

Argh, I was wondering why Inuyasha pulled that move on Sango >:( Wow, he just made it all 10x worse and he doesn't even know it, haha. (Yes, I realize they spotted him at the end, but I don't think they realized what he was thinking about seeing them together...) Damn, talk about seeing what you want to see! This has certainly become a quagmire. I suppose we'll see just how much he trusts Sango when the inevitable confrontation happens...looking forward to more! :)

I am glad that Miroku is no longer content to wallow in self-pitty and hatred, and is unwilling to allow it to fester within himself anymore. I hope he finds what he is looking for at the temple. Maybe some soul searching is what is in order. Can't wait to see the next update (and that's not just because I already know what you have up your sleeve ... heh).
| Title: Chapter 8 Reviewed By: LuxKen27 [MediaMiner Member] On: February 16, 2009 19:21 CST Comment/Review: This is really amazing! :) How do you pack so much into so few words? I love seeing Miroku acknowledge how his hatred moved from his exes to himself, and that to move on, he has to do something about it. It feels like he's finally come up for air after almost drowning. The mention of Mushin was a nice touch as well.
