I can't believe I didn't review this when I first read it -- I came back to check for updates though, and reread the 18th chapter. Very good, I absolutely love how in touch you are with these characters and how well you have developed them throughout the course of this story. I am very interested in what Nappa had to say to the other Saiyans about mating; I'm assuming it will be most relevant in later chapters. I'm hoping that Bulma gets on Tien and takes Vegeta's advice seriously, I can see now where so many things can go terribly wrong. I am really curious to find out how Bulma and Vegeta will meet again -- and if those alien pregnancy tests were legit or not. Great chapter, sorry I'm leaving this review so late, keep up the awesome writing. Thanks!

Great chapter. Like I said last time: Vegeta may not realize it but he's fallen hard for Bulma. Really, really hard. XD I love how far into denial he had gone and all the fighting himself he had to do. Of course having sex with that 'ugly' woman wouldn't compare. Not when his instincts have already decided on Bulma. Wow, just plain wow.

An other great chapter! The only thing that bugged me was Bulma's dirty mouth. I mean having more than 3 'fucks' in a sentence just puts me off. Educated intelligent people can express themselves better than that.

Crazybastardsayswhat. Vegeta: "What?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You wern't Kidding! I would say Veggie has it bad for Bulma-Chan is kinda understated?!?!?!?! Poor Nappa Must have been embarrassed... Poor girl... I honestly pity her. Too bad Vegeta hasn´t a picture of Bulma, so he could request a girl who could at least look a bit like her. Or he could have asked one with big boobs and demanded her to wear a blue wig. ;) Can´t deny that I found funny Bulma and Puar fumbling with the preg tests. That reminded me a lot the beginning of Juno, especially the juice liters. I liked the way they become closer. Didn´t finish the previous review, but it was a relief that Puar, from all people stumbled into them, instead of one of the Briefs or even Krillin. He has to be far more comprehensive than the others to her. But, back to the second subjetct, I truly hope Bulma´s not... that would just cause more hurt now, for a lot of people. Vegeta´s instable enough, he doesn´t need to get even more disturbed. I also appreciated Chichi´s mature reaction "Why, did you want me to hit you with the frying pan? You wouldn´t survive, and I don´t want to make best buds with your mother!" XD XD XD XD

I also want to add that this line is particularly telling: "Not mate, seethed the wordless animal in his head" I really fear for anyone in Vegeta's presence if he continues to ignore the call of this 'wordless animal'

i don't know what to say with that chapter; I'm stunned, I didn't see that coming, now I really wish Nappa had the chance to finish what he wanted to say, that last scene was, it was very disturbing and incomprehensible, at first I was thinking did I forget who (or what) Vegeta really is; it seemed to go against the honour code that I associated with the saiyans, then I mentally recapped what I knew of Vegeta to see if it would lead to this. And then it came to me, I don't think this is Vegeta, it is the power of the saiyan mate connection, and the consequences that can arise when this is denied, I got the sense that his mind, had reverted (or awakened) for a moment into that primal instinctive state, (I liked your comparison to the Oozaroo transformation) there is no rational, no reason only that natural compulsion to have, to need to be with the other half. Seeing the reaction of Vegeta made me worried, his need has not been satiated, it is still unfulfilled, the saiyan mating is more intense and powerful than Vegeta realised, what will happen when he does see Bulma again? Although this was a dark scene I think it definitely highlighted just how deep it really is. I just don't think that this is who Vegeta is, doing such an act is not the norm for him, i think it is a consequence of denying his saiyan need for his mate. I'm not sure if I am reading it right, but it seems as if Vegeta was descending into darkness the longer he was away from Bulma, until he just snapped. It really is a shame that he was taken by Freeza when he was a child, I think the removal from his culture from his nature at such a young age has left him psychologically and mentally stunted; it's like a part of him is still a child who does not understand what he is going through and lashing out in rage and sheer frustration. I can't wait till the next chapter. The very last line made me chuckle, lol 'crazybastards say what? Vegeta: "what?"'

I found the scene where Krillin defends Vegeta to Chi Chi particularly telling and also quite sad, as it shows what he thinks of the groups endeavour so far. 'we've barely even made a dent in his operation, much less any progress to taking him out of the picture. We steal some blueprints, he has more drawn up. A factory is destroyed, he builds two to replace it. We have no chance!" It's sad because its like, was it all in vain? When it comes down to it, can only might make the real difference? I'm interested to see how Vegeta plays into this, and also Bulma as she will create the gravity chamber. Will she play another part in Freiza's demise? I also liked the way Krillin brought it home to Chi Chi about just how much the saiyans have done for Gohan. I wonder if this will lead to a truce, will she begin to see the monsters as men? Now, I have to say the scene with Vegeta and Bulma, wow, wow and wow. This was such an explosive chapter, the build up towards it, the tension between the two literally exploded, I think you definitely paced the development of the connection very well. The anticipation when she hears someone not knowing who it is, almost like she is being hunted. And then the humour as well, I can't believe when Puar showed up, that was funny, especially the way Bulma tries to be all lady-like and proper, making polite conversation, I'm like, who you tryna kid Bulma? and Vegeta's blasé attitude towards it. The scene where he sees the picture of Bulma and Yamcha was well written, the way his emotions change into a different key, the whole mood takes a different colour Bulma's response to the photograph being blown up also reveals latent anxieties, which I guess she hadn't yet come to terms with. I can't believe the saiyans' left, I'm like nooooooo come back lol

I've really enjoyed reading through all of this the last few days. I haven't read much fanfic in a while and I'm not sur I could have picked a better fic to start back with. You had me rolling with laughter in some places and tense with drama in others. Very well written and definately not the same old B/V.

Yay, finally some action! And of course it'd have to end badly, can't have them getting all romantic yet. I love Vegeta's possessiveness in this situation. No dead guy's gonna take his woman. XD He totally doesn't get it but he's fallen for her hard. So now the sayians have to return to base and explain why they've been gone so long with contact. Can't wait to see where you take it from here. Great chapter.

As always when you write, the sex was passionate and HOT, but more than that, the plot keeps hooking me deeper and deeper. Excellent characterizations and dialogue.

I think that Bulma´ll be the only one to lament the Saiyan´s leaving... well, Chichi´ll certainly be sad because Gohan will have to go with them. I just hope that Bulma´s won´t get pregnant,(too late for a condom!)this is absolutely not a good time for that to happen. I understand Chichi´s dislike of the Saiyans, because of the changes they caused into Gohan, but she should see that it could have been much worse if it wasn´t for them.
