The best kind of story is the kind where you walk away after
reading a chapter and feel the intense emotions that your favorite
character's feel, no matter happy or sad, and this story did the
incredible feat of just that. I loved the roller coaster of
emotions you took us through. The entire story line was AMAZING!!
The way you tied in her scar and Miroku and his fathers "curse" was
so imaginative and just your writing in general is beautiful and I
can't believe the cravings I felt when I couldn't get back to
reading!! I am so happy about this ending and I just wanted you to
know that the way you got in their heads and dissected their very
thoughts and true-nature's had me falling in love with them more
and more with each read. You are brilliant. Thank you for this :)

I was afraid this story was gone, but it was not forgotten, apparently not even by you! Sooooooo glad you updated it, and I'm cool with the way you wrapped everything up for good with this one final chapter. Kind of get the feeling you just wanted to end the story to be done with it, but as a loyal fan I greatly appreciate the fact that you did decide to actually conclude this story rather than leaving us all hanging for the rest of eternity, and the ending didn't feel rushed or forced, either. I thought you wrapped everything up nicely, tying up all the loose ends. Don't really need an epilogue with this type of story, 'cause it gives the vibe of 'we can only work towards the future from here' and who knows what the future may bring, right? Nicely done. |

I was expecting Sango to go and see him, but I wasn't expecting it to play out the way that you did it, and I'm guessing neither was Sango! Are we going to get a recap from her point of view start of next chapter? That would be nice, but I suppose not really necessary. Whatever you want to do, just so long as you update! ;-)

Glad Akiko decided to bring up the 'Miroku' subject, urging Sango to see him, even if it's only to say goodbye. Good angle. If we can just get those two in the same room... Looking forward to the next update!

I would so love for Sango to have coinsidentally been coming around the corner and overhearing all of that, though I doubt it. Still, Miroku makes an excellent point. He cannot make Sango happy, but I do hope that Sango realizes that she can allow herself to be happy in his presense.

I was listening to a playlist and when I opened this and started reading it "Meant to Live" by Switchfoot came on. It was so perfect. And now I have knots in MY stomach because I'm terrified he wont do anything and Sango will leave! NO! Please update soon!

I was so afraid you'd stopped writing for this fanfiction, it's such a complicated and beautiful story at the time! Sorry I cant write more, but I saw that you had written another chapter and I all-too-eagerly dropped my essay to come read this, so have to force myself back to that now, but thank you for this wonderful shining star in the midst of my horrible essay!

Reviewed By: Griddlebone On: February 15, 2010 12:46 EST Comment/Review: It's interesting to finally get a look inside Miroku's head, and at his thus far mysterious past, and how it's made him into the man he is in this alternate universe. You've got some nice parallels to the canon going, and you've also managed to avoid going with the most obvious ways to do that, so kudos for that. What also comes through in this piece is Miroku's inner strength and his ability to deal with crisis and strong emotion by falling back on responsibility, or drawing into himself. My one quibble is a (relatively) minor thing at the very end of this piece. Even though you've done a very plausible job of setting it up, I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of Miroku crying.

I am certain Sango still feels their connection, although what remains a mystery is how long she might be willing to try and pretend that she doesn't. I eagerly await the next installment.
