That was very brave of you, asking all of us what we wanted, what you should do. You will likely get many selfish people telling you to share solely for their own interest in the story - but is that not why we write? To share our stories with others? Then the question becomes, whose selfishness is more well-placed? Ours or yours? Is it wrong of you to want to keep the story to yourself, or is it wrong of us to demand that you share it? I would say, as for myself, of course I would love for you to share your story. I would very much love to read it. But at the same time, I do understand the desire to keep certain projects to oneself. I think the greatest deciding factor should be this: do you intend to attempt officially publishing the completed version? If you truly, honestly want to try and publish this new story once it is completed, then for your own sake, for the modern world we live in and legalities and plagiarism and all of that nasty business, I would recommend that you temporarily keep the story to yourself until such time that it is sharable to us all in printed form. Otherwise, if you feel deep in your heart that it will most likely forever remain a fanfic, forever merely digital on your computer and nothing more, then I do think that sharing it with others online would be the right thing to do as opposed to keeping it forever as your own secret. What use is a gallery of paintings the world will never see? So this is not truly a question of whether or not others will read this new story of yours, but merely how, and when. Ultimately, the decision must be yours, but that is my opinion. You shouldn't keep it solely to yourself forever, but if it shall one day become a real book, I can wait until that time for the unveiling. |

Yay! Wonderful update! We are nearly back full circle, I see, and I think for the most part all of the questions have already been cleared up, as far as what happens/happened to get us back to where we started, although I am definitely looking forward to that glimpse of Kagome's thoughts you said would be in the next chapter as we finally get COMPLETELY back to the beginning. I'm glad Kaede screwed herself by botching the timing in her lie of how far along she was...karmic justice at its finest, and it got rid of any guilt Inuyasha would have otherwise felt for leaving Kaede, because obviously if she could lie like that, then just like he himself had realized, she wasn't who he thought she was. Definitely looking forward to Kagome's thoughts, like I just said, but I'm REALLY looking forward to the chapters AFTER next, where we can see how the story progresses from the stage you set way back when. I understand that 'real life' is going to try to be a thorn in your side, but update as swiftly as you can, you hear? If you can't because of life then you just can't, but no procrastinating allowed! LOL |

Wow this chapter was such a roller coaster! First I'm sad (Inuyasha stays with Kaede), then I'm happy (Inuyasha realizes Kaede lied), then I'm REALLY happy (Kagome and Inuyasha happy for a little while), then I'm scared (Kouga), then I'm MAD (I WANT TO THROW KAGOME'S FATHER OFF A CLIFF), then I'm happy/sad, and by the end I just want to cry T.T I loved this chapter so much, and I'm glad Inuyasha did realize that Kagome was lying at the end! I'll just keep hoping that everything gets better in the next update (please? :D)! |

Finally a new chapter and it was really really really good!!!! Damn now I'm in suspense mode again....the waiting is what kills me. Thank you for updating. I can't wait until the next chapter. Gah! *slaps Kaede* She has absolutely no right to be jealous of Kagome 'taking Inuyasha away from her' when she knows damn well that those two have been in love with each other since they were children! Well...at least part of her actually knows that, but way to throw a monkey wrench into everything. I was wondering the whole time, and now I'm still wondering, how Inuyasha actually ends up getting Kaede out of the picture, for us to get back to where we started with him showing up uninvited at the ball to challenge Kouga for Kagome's hand. It had started to look like Kaede was going to do the right thing and bow out herself, but I know more time still has to pass because Kagome isn't engaged to Kouga yet in this chapter. Plus she's also telling him now that she loves him and will fight to be with him, and back when we first started in 'present' time, she was trying to tell him that she didn't love him, so something major obviously still hasn't happened yet in the flashbacks. Hmmm... Oh well, as long as you know what you're doing, I guess I can sit back and enjoy the ride. Oh, and as far as MM being all screw ball, they actually had a major server crash about two months ago. For a couple of days there "Go Daddy" said mediaminer didn't even exist and was offering to sell it! They quickly got themselves back up and running on backup servers, but they're still not 100% fixed yet. Nobody (as far as I know) can post any new stories, because the "Ratings" drop down thingy doesn't work, so you can't select a rating, and then it kicks it back telling you to select a rating when you can't! You're lucky you're coming into the butt end of the problems, because for a while there nobody could log in to access their accounts at all, and then when we first started being able to log in again, we still couldn't post any new chapter updates. The whole uploading thing just wouldn't work at all. Yeah, it's still screwy since it only accepts rich text right now (which actually doesn't bother me since that's what I use anyway! ;-P) but at least be thankful that you can post new chapters to your story! I'm certainly thankful that you can post new chapters to your story! And I hope you do it again real soon! |

oh my god oh my god oh my god! Haha I really had an :o face at the end at Kaede's declaration. AWRGJIAERIGAERIGJ I actually kinda hate her because I keep thinking that now Inuyasha will have to comfort her and blah blah blah, and he and Kagome won't be able to get back together for even longer! D': (I do feel kind of bad that I have no sympathy for Kaede, but oh well) Please update soon before my brain explodes :) Haha and I was going crazy when you started uploading a bunch of revisions. At first I was like "NO WAY I HAVENT SEEN THIS STORY UPDATED IN FOREVER," and for every subsequent false alert, I cried just a bit harder. Anyway, as I was saying, please update as soon as you can :) I'm really curious how he's going to make his way back to challenging Kouga (I assumed he was the one in the first chapter) for Kagome. :DDD |

it was beautiful but the thing that really got me to love this is that the ending was very sad..he left his love! i couldent stop myself from crying i will show this story to my friends and hope they see the beauty of the feeling of love between these 2 i hope to read more of your fanfics |

I just wanted to tell you that I truly am enjoying this fiction. And I think that it's very nifty to see you using "Within You" by David Bowie, I may be 26 years old but I have absolutely adored Labrynth since I was a little girl! Keep the story alive. ;) I will be adding this story to my favs. ^.^

No worries on the "real life" delay, just so long as you promise to never actually abandon this fic. I understand that all of the details of what happened between him and Kaede are necessary for us to not be in the dark when we get back to present-time. Like I said before, since all this mess is a "flashback" I don't really mind what you do, since we already know he comes back for Kagome. Although that last little author's note of yours has me worried. It would certainly complicate things, and not in a good way, if he ends up leaving Kaede to come back to Kagome in time to stop her from marrying Kouga, but then enter Kaede pregnant with his child. Such is life...but this isn't real life, it's a story! Hopefully an Inu/Kag story when everything is said and done.

You have a really good story going here. I really hope you continue it. I too am curious to see how Inuyasha goes from the man who want to leave and is apparently taking Keade with him, to the man who comes back to the castle to fight for Kagome. I really want to know what is referend to in the first chapter, how kagome can make a single choice and save him. I am also can't wait the find out which part of the song you will use as titles. I am wondering if, "you're eyes can be so cruel, just as I can be so cruel" will be used? Love the song from the labrynth. Please finish the story, don't let it go unfinished like so many others. I have it bookmarked, so I don't care when you update as long as you do someday.
