So Sesshomaru wants back with Kagura. Very interesting, I wonder how long that will last? Inuyasha with sexual tension, not thinking it's a good thing, unless it's released with the right person(wink wink). I REALLY hope Kagome is Inuyasha's mate. I'll be super bummed if she's not but I'll still keep reading to see Kagome's reaction. Oh! Miroku's white ass! Hilarious!!!I can't wait for the next chapter! Love this! |

All right! I'm glad you haven't decided to abandon this, and three updates all at once! Hoot! Inuyasha's certainly got his hands full, can't wait to see what happens when Kagome finds out she's his mate. Rin is so sweet; it's too bad Sesshoumaru and Kagura are divorcing, though of course if they weren't then there wouldn't be a story. And then yes of course, we mustn't forget about Sango making her debut appearance. Well done! :-) |

If there is one thing I have learned in my 6+ years of writing Inuyasha fanfiction, it's that if the story you're working on suddenly gets a mind of its own and wants you to take it down a different path than you'd originally intended, let it, LOL. Of course, there is still something to be said about letting a story know whose boss; you don't want to let it get completely away from you with no semblance of control whatsoever. If Inuyasha will pardon the canine analogy, it's like allowing the dog you're walking to choose which way he wants to go along the maze of sidewalks, but still tugging on the leash whenever he tries to wander out into the middle of the street. So, we now have a world where there is obviously youkai divorce, but apparently also chosen 'mates' courtesy of destiny. Presumably, one can imagine that finding one's 'true mate' is a rare occurrence, and so perhaps some people go through their whole lives without finding them. Marrying somebody who is not your mate must be allowed, clearly, but then of course that concept is hardly new to fanfiction, since most people excuse the Inu no Taisho and SessMom's relationship as political or some other such excuse so that he could also be with Izayoi. Soooo, I don't think this twist has hurt your original intentions at all, and although I wasn't expecting the 'mates' thing to come up in this story I'm still super into this story and really looking forward to seeing what happens next! |
