LOL, cute little Shippou. I'm not surprised the message went over
his head. Lovely wrap up chapter! Looks like all the loose ends
after the Seiji fall out have been taken care of, and we're just in
time to start a brand new branch of the story. Don't you dare let
anyone tell you you should end this here and start a new story for
the continuation. This is a true soap opera at its finest and this
was just a season finale, not the series finale. Luckily for us,
the new season starts next update!

YAY! LOL, can we still sing 'Ding dong the witch is dead' when it
was a man? Crafty Shimame, appearing like Maeme like that. Just a
little nudge to make sure Seiji didn't decide to change his mind.
Explains why he wanted the challenge, never having believed in
Grandfather Catfish in the first place. One would think if he knew
for a fact the catfish was real even he would have had a small
speck of doubt in his heart, even if it were just to think that
perhaps Tameo would somehow bribe the catfish into take him
unjustly. Believing the catfish doesn't even exist explains why he
was so rambunctious for the river challenge, completely convinced
he'd swim across unharmed. Finally, the play is over...but not this
fabulous story! Looking forward to the next arc of adventure!

I'm so glad you're back and that your vacation didn't go any worse.
Another fantastic chapter as always. I look forward to Wednesday
and Friday (the time difference changes the days here) because I
get a new chapter of this. Keep up the amazing work, I can't wait
for more.

Well worth the wait! Once they all tackled him and tied him back up
I was really wondering just how in the heck Seiji was going to wind
up in the river. I suppose he could have somehow gotten away
from them and ran for it, but this is WAY better! The river
challenge, eh? I'm sure we'll get more details on that, later. We
already know what the outcome will be, LOL. Super looking forward
to it!

Yeah! Let's get him! LOL. I'm sure Shimame's not done with her plan
yet, knowing Kazuo didn't want Seiji's blood on any of the
villagers' hands, but even so, it definitely looks like things are
getting ready to come to a close. Super looking forward to the next
update!

Ah, so glad to see Maeme's in good hands, and that Shimame released
Inuyasha from his bubble. That he was able to stay as calm about
his momentary imprisonment as he did just goes to show how much
he's matured over the years, and Kagome's embarrassment over how
much she used to use the rosary shows us how much she's matured as
well. I'm glad you tossed in that added little comment of
Daitaro's, that that's not how husbands and wives should behave.
I'm not surprised he immediately made a perverted joke afterwards
about what other ways Kagome can subdue Inuyasha these days,
LOL. Glad Yoshio's been given the green light to lead Seiji onward.
It's time to get this show on the road!

Good to see things from Maeme's point of view. I figured Kaede's
medicine couldn't last forever, and it's only natural that she'd
want to run to save everyone else from Seiji because that's the
kind of woman she is. Good to know the kami are standing guard, and
that everything is still going according to plan, or at least
Shimame's new plan. Definitely looking forward to seeing
what happens next!

Yup, lots of witnesses, LOL. Stupid Seiji, that fire he started as
a 'distraction' just alerted everyone to his presence. Even
Inuyasha wouldn't have known he was out of the lockup otherwise. It
was like a big neon sign saying hey everybody, I've escaped! LOL. I
like that Kazuo manifested himself to Inuyasha and they had an
actual conversation on the subject, even if he wasn't very
forthcoming with details and Shimame ultimately had to create a
force field 'cause Inuyasha was going to go off anyway. But you
can't leave a hanyou guessing, especially one with his temper and
dislike for Seiji, LOL. He needed to be made aware of the fact that
the kami were out and about and that Seiji WILL get what's coming
to him, and also that the blood will NOT be on his hands. Even
though he didn't seem to care about that right in this moment, I'm
sure later he'll be grateful. Definitely looking forward to seeing
what happens next!

I'm liking Shimame more and more, LOL. And dang it all how I wish I
could do that pull myself out of time trick, LOL. I could get all
my writing finished that way! I must say, it's a fabulous trick of
yours to remind us all of where everyone else is, let us too see
the players on the board and know where everybody is in this
precise moment in time. Is Kazuo going to let Shimame tweak the
ending of his play? LOL, sounds like she has a more climactic idea
in mind. Can't wait to find out what it is!

If I had a mean, bad army leader who got nearly everyone killed,
I'd probably run away to save my own hide, too. BUT, knowing Seiji,
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if his opinion of Motoharu
is severely warped. He probably thinks he was an a-hole just 'cause
he, oh I don't know, gave him orders, ya know, like a
commanding officer is supposed to do? I certainly wouldn't
have acted so cold in the face of my dead commander's ghost. He
doesn't know it was just the family kami playing a trick to stall
him. If it were me, I probably would've had a fairly Ebenezer
Scrooge reaction, minus the not believing at first since in that
time period ghosts are very real and very believed. Just goes to
show just HOW warped Seiji actually is. Ah well, can't blame Yoshio
for trying. It's not exactly like he can just manifest himself to
grab hold of Seiji's sleeve. I'm sure he probably can, but
he's not allowed. Regardless, now that Inuyasha's on the hunt I'm
not so sure Seiji will make it to Miroku's, anyway. Looks like
Yoshio was indeed able to stall him long enough.

Such drama! Where's soap opera music when you need it? LOL. I don't
know what to say this time, really, except I'm totally on pins and
needles for Thursday's chapter!

Things are really unfolding nicely. Sneaky Chika, keeping Eiji
preoccupied like that! Being an ex-bakeneko with higher
intelligence than a regular cat, I wouldn't be surprised if Kazuo
straight up appeared to her at some point and asked her to do him a
favor, LOL, rather than creating a spiritual ball of yarn for her
to blindly chase around. I bet she totally knew what she was doing
the whole time, thinking 'that's it Eiji, just keep following me'
LOL. So now Seiji and Yoshimi are both on the loose, an old
abandoned shack is suddenly burning for no apparent reason
(*cough*divergence*cough*), and there's a knock on Sango and
Miroku's door. Last we saw Inu/Kag, they were out snooping around
because Kagome's spidey senses were tingling. This is getting GOOD!
I'm definitely looking forward to the next update!

Yoshimi, you poor ol' sod, LOL. But then, Kazuo picks his players
well. All he had to do was get Yoshimi to the lockup, and he knew
the most likely course of events that would follow. Maybe he
should have been a drama writer in life, instead of a
farmer, LOL. But then again, the analogy of planting seeds works
just as well for what he's done. Yes people have freedom to choose,
but a lot of people are also predictable, and so it'd be easy for a
kami to set things up for those predictable people, knowing which
way they'll most likely choose. Technically, he's not making
anybody do anything. This is just tampering, not direct
intervention like what he did with Morio. Haven't seen him in a
long while, though I think in story time it's been what...one day,
right? LOL. Maybe two. But we know he's doing well, because he
thinks those people at the house with him are his parents, so he's
behaving himself, and Chiya is pouting but otherwise doing well.
The most urgent thing right now is definitely what's
unfolding with Seiji, especially now that the wedding is over and
done with. Definitely looking forward to Thursday's chapter!

And all the other players take their positions on the stage... I'm
not surprised she felt that swirl of luck tickle the back of her
miko senses. Some things are by kami design, but as we know, people
still have freedom of choice. I wonder if Kazuo wanted Kagome to
choose they should investigate that sensation... But then, it would
have been unlucky for him if he hadn't, and during that luck swirl
nothing unlucky is happening, so there you go. I get the feeling
that whatever happens, it's going to be more or less exactly what
Kazuo wants to happen. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

Bum Bum BUM! Good set up! Will he do it? *Nods* I think so, because
of the way Seiji phrased it. Let me out otherwise my blood is on
your hands...Yoshimi's not man enough to stand up to Seiji with
such a threat against family and honor. He probably is already
thinking now that if he doesn't do it Seiji's death will be
his fault, instead of Seiji's own stupid fault for all the crap
he's done. We don't even know 100% that the council was going to
decide to execute him, although it was certainly possible. Either
that or banishment, I'm sure. If Seiji acted repentant then it'd
probably be banishment, but even though it was a good idea in
theory from Yoshimi's POV it doesn't surprise me in the least, what
Seiji's reaction was to that suggestion. Very obviously, this is
what Kazuo wants to happen. Now let's just hope Eiji doesn't show
up too early to put a monkey wrench into things. Looks like
Daikoku's luck is holding out, even though the auspicious day is
coming to a close, so hopefully something will distract Eiji long
enough for this scene in Kazuo's 'play' to unfold correctly. In the
meantime, the other scene with Inu/Kag and co. was also nice. He
actually got full! (I would've lost the bet, too, LOL)
