oh, I like this one! it's very good, and the angst is great. ^.^ I would REALLY like that lemon between them now... ::grin:: you want to know a song that really fits this. Oh, god, what is it with people on this website, that they don't review??!! Especially such an amazing work as this!!
I would like you to know that it is 2 AM, and that I have to get up in less than 4 hours for work! I had intended to read just a little of this fic, but I was held so spellbound that I couldn't stop until your last chapter! (Latest chapter, not last, hopefully!)
I also would like you to know that I don't give out "10's" very easily - but this story and your style of writing certainly deserve it! The raw reality of both Houjun's and Hikou's emotions is depicted harshly and perfectly - and I disagree with your claim that this is not a love story. It is definitely a love story, but not a sappy fairy-tale... rather, it is a dark picture of love twisted by pain and suffering, but still showing faint glimmers of the real thing underneath.
I'm a Tasuki fan, and I also appreciate the portrait of his own, very-in-character fierce protectiveness of his one remaining seishi brother, at the same time showing his famous ill-temper and anger (Don't let the gate hit you on the way out!!)
I honestly don't know where this story is going (see - they need another rating for ability to avoid cliched plots!), but I hope that you will complete this tale. In the meantime, accept my congratulations - and my thanks!
