No worries about the delay. Whilst not quite for as long as this in most cases, we've all done it. Hope all if better now though.
Yay! Update! And now that's out of my system...
Yeah, this one was good! Very strong streak of sarcasm running through all of this, which was entertaining to read but didn't quite fit in certain places. But no matter. And Yami's on an airship? Huh. Now there's a twist I didn't quite expect, although it is the sort of thing Kaiba would do. He's smart enough to know that if he doesn't want anyone walking in on him, the best place to be is several hundred feet in the air. I must have been in denial about this fact because I believed along with Bakura that the Ring was just being awkward.
This does raise an interesting predicament though: If Yami's 'up there' and everyone is 'down here', how are they going to get up that big ol' barrier of thin air? I'll be interested to see what you pull out of your hat for that one.
The opening bit was wrenching, truly. Yugi would be that Hell-bent on getting to Yami, and the way you got that across in this type of situation was fantastic. This is messing up his head as muh as everyone elses, I believe. I hope you're going to do the 'repurcussions and healing' aspect at the end of all this drama. Or kill everyone off. Although less amiable an option for your readers, that would still be effective.
Oh, and I'd refrain from making this fic a pairing. It's too damn good to have to go down the oh-so-overused-and-crappy road of 'and this beautiful new relationship healed his spirit and mind just like that'. So yeah, friends are good and bondy-openess and comfort is swell, but make it Yaoi and you'll be taking a big risk. You never know: you might pull it off and keep up this trend and excellence. Or not. Either way I've been hooked on this fic for over a year so there's no way that I'll give it up.
Help with an action sequence? Well, I'd be happy to beta for you, but if you could refrain from sending anything until after the 18th it'd be better: I'd actualy have time to beta it then. Whatever. My e-mail's easy (and you know it...) so drop me a line if you want to take me up on the offer. No worries if not, it's just there all the same.

good story. Poor Yami and mean Seto, but then again if you had Yami at your mercy what would you do? I was wondering if you maybe could make this a Yami/Yugi story, if its too late or you just don't like that pairing its cool. But I hope you update soon. |
