Keep the chapter. It is far too good to just toss out. And the character developments and such that it provided are too important to the our understanding of the story.
So Wu is a dragon, Duo is Deaths shadow/son..what is Quatre?
Yuy needs to be smacked around a bit. You had better not have him abuse Duo. I see you having a relationship develop between those two and that will not happen if he hits or otherwise abuses Duo. Or at least, it shouldn't. Maxwell is far too strong to fall for someone who has EVER hurt him.
Are you going to have Wu and Zechs get together at the end? And is it possible to give Wu back his voice?

You should lower down a little bit on the author note at the begining. It take almost half the page.
