Niiiice... and believable! At least you put an explanation on how they got there! And the phrase that Legolas says is "Crebain! From Dunland!" It's the name of the birds and their land... *frowns* Haven't read the books, huh? *taps foot* Oh, well. Great job, anyway!

You know, I like this story. I didn't think you could come up with an cool way of merging at first but then you did, good job. Your characters seem a little passive though. At least the LOTR characters do. I can just see Ryou and Joey getting thrown into some alternate universe and going "okay, that's cool," and being totally oblivious. But the LOTR characters seem a little too oblivious. I still like it though.
