Well, here we are. At the end of a very long journey. I can say with absolute honesty that this is one of my most favorite fics ever. I meant what I said before, you have found a fan for life in me and I will be the first to read/review anything else you put out (I'm an avid Stargate fan, so I'll be counting the days until I get to read that). I was rather disappointed that Omasu and Ochika didn't stay in Middle-Earth. Ever since they fought with the Elven weapons, I imagined them to have their own little fairytale romance and live happily ever after with the twins. Kenshin and Frodo passing the torch to the next generation and sailing off to Valinor is certainly appropriate (though Kaoru would be damned before she'd let him go without her). They both sacrificed themselves for the sake of the future, essentially becoming living martyrs. They both deserve the peace of the Undying Lands. But I wonder, how exactly does Kenshin plan on getting there from Tokyo? After all, it took two wizards just to get him to Middle-Earth. Whatever the case, all I can say is "Good show! Full marks! And don't ever stop writing!"

WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! 50th review!! I'll review for real when I finish the epilogue, I just wanted to be number fifty before anyone else takes it. I still cannot believe that you spent over three years on this fic and got so few reviews for your trouble. That is so not cool.

Well, I'm finally finished. The question is, are you? You said there was one more chapter to go, did you decide to leave it out? In any case, it was a wonderful story. You've definitely gained a fan for life in me, and let if you have any other fics in the works so I can get in on the ground floor where my comment will actually have some relevance.

I am very happy for you and your mother! It was cancer that took my mother some months ago and it warms my heart to know that for every one that dies, others live on. With regards to the story, I'm still loving it and have found no problems beyond a few inconsequentials involving grammer. I think it would be pretty interesting to see return of Zanza though. It's a shame that Sagara's Zanbatou was destroyed as it could be useful right here at the end of ch 49.

By the way, I'm sorry to hear about your father. That's what spurred me to review after that particular chapter (I lost my mother recently so I know what you were going through, man).

Sorry I haven't reviewed in a while. Besides being a writer, I'm also a full-time student, so I haven't had much free time lately. Anyway I just finished ch 39. As expected, I've enjoyed nearly everything I've read and I'm glad you've cut back on the modernism. The only problem I've found is that the charactersfrom RuroKen seem to be actively seeking out parallels/counterparts between themselves and LotR characters. This is an unnatural thing for them to do. By the way, I realize that you wrote this quite a while ago and you probably have no intention of revising it further. But I'm still going to continue reviewing, if only for my own satisfaction. Good luck in your writings and may your ideas flow like diarrhea.

I love LotR and I'm completely obsessed with RK, so I'm enjoying this fic immensely and you'd have to work really hard to disappoint me. However, speaking as a fellow writer (I happen to be a published, professional author) I should warn you. You must immerse yourself in the fictional mythos about which you are writing (both Middle Earth and Meiji Japan) this means, among other things, modern linguistic colloquialisms are unacceptable: e.g. - "'I totally spaced out' Kenshin said" Avoid these at all cost, they detract from the story and lend an amateurish lilt to your voice.

Read "The Journey Ends" and I thought it was good. I knew from the moment you first told how strangely attracted Kaoru was to the ring that she would probably want the ring for herself during the Gollum/Frodo struggle in Mt. Doom. I can't believe only 3 chapters before Lord of the Rings goes "The End" again. *Cries really loud* Will the Japan be able to see the croiwning of Aragorn because to make the scene so so powerful and emotional, everyone should see it! Are some of the couples (Kension/Karou and Aoishi/Misao) gonna actually explain their feelings to one anothr? And what about the Elf twins in japan? I'm sorry to ask questions but I JUST GOTTA KNOW!!! Your story should be like a featured Fan Fic!Anyway, read my stories! Bye

I am still reading this! I love it! I can't believe how close this story is coming to an end, it makes me want to cry. When I look at it, it makes me think how small this story seems: They meet eachother in the first movie, they continue seperate jounies in the second, then it all ends in the third.... I wish they did more. Kinda how I feel when it comes to video games or other movies. I'll be sad when this fic ends. Please keep writing. please also read some of my stories too, especilly memories of the Black battousai which I am currently working on right now with my friend Kokuryu (Check out some of his stories too). Anyway, peace out!

Title: Why do I feel you're being too... impatient and unenthusiastic, Knight Lancer

Comment/Review:
Knight Lancer, I sort of get the feeling you're getting too impatient. Sure Hiko is strong, and he can take on the Orcs. But you know, that can be the most exciting thing ever conceived, and can be very worth while, period! And that's the reason why many of my reviewers like it so much. In short, you're being too judgemental about this, sir. Having strong people take down the a whole squad of the enemy does not make it a flaw, nor is it boring. Sometimes, we have to learn to think things through before passing judgements, and you really should do the same.

Comment/Review:
Frankly, you might as well just have Hiko take on the entire army of Mordor alone, because at the rate he's going, he'll kill them all. Now this, is why having ridiculously overpowered characters is boring. Because you KNOW that they'll basically never be defeated. Thus, it's boring to read. What's exciting when a company of Orcs charge a character, when he/she takes them down with the utmost ease? Nothing! It's like turning on an invincibility cheat in a game. Sure it's fun for...the first 2 minutes or so. But after a while, there's no more excitement, because you CAN'T lose. And that's the biggest flaw of this story. The LotR manages to be readable because the characters weren't god-like. Though they were mighty, they could be felled. But the RK characters are omnipotent.
