I hate it when people read and don't review! I should not be your first reviewer! Anyway... I thought it was great. I've seen other fics slightly similar (ever read Pareathe's "Love and Obligation?" - it's good, too), but none with the Kouga plot device (a.k.a. Kagome leaving to be his mate). But your interpretation of Kikyou/Inuyasha echoes my own, and I felt the emotions you were trying to convey. I (VERY) anxiously look forward to the next chapter, and I hope Inuyasha has to work to get Kagome back. I mean, she's been living under the allusion that he has always loved Kikyou, why would she suddenly believe differently now, you know? Inuyasha's an idiot. Inuyasha no baka!!! I'm done rambling, sorry for the tangent, and I really did love it. Thank you for writing this ;) Later ~ Julia
