Oooh, I like your Shinigami. You make him tough - that last little smile was like a shot of adraline half-way through the chapter! Kudos for not going overboard on that though; not making him completely resistant physically to torture. It's realistic and believable that his mind is still holding out, but his body is getting ready to cave in. The psychological aspect of the torture - and the fact that Revenant is, for hte moment, going easy on him because physically he needs him intact - are also well written. I liked Revenant's comment; that it's good they got Duo finally, because now he couldn't imagine how he'd have broken Heero. Damn tootin'. Except that if he thinks Heero don't care about his partner at all, he's about to get a six-pack of wake-up and smell-the-GBH comin' his way, once Heero and the kids make that guy talk (and I'm glad Jake and co aren't being just helpless victims, either)! Great chapter, I hope you update soon!

Revenant ... why do evil guys always have such cool names?! When he shocked Duo after Duo mouthed off at him about getting off on seeing him almost raped, I think he was for him to respond so quickly. Eventhough Revenant makes it clear his objectives, through his actions he's showing a bit of his attraction to Duo, through his need to protect him from uh... certain things and he's possessive. Not only looking out for his little project, but his own personal interests prehaps? Kracken-sama you reveal very well the evil that men can do and will do with out laws and enforcement parties to regulate their actions, heck! even when those tenets are dominant in a society that g-boy universe is trying to be come. "Heero wondered how he could have thought he was anything else. It wasn't logical." THANK YOU! that's right you baka you let jealousy get the best of you! "I'll tell my mama on you." GOD! i love kids!! '...Heero reached up to the photo and he did touch it this time. He whispered, "Duo. I want to, but... I can't." ' *sputters* wha... WHAT!! Damn that ice block knuckle head grrr... HEERO!! *sighs and shakes her head* He sees inside Duo's place and sees that all of what Quat said wasn't true but still the potential threat to the majority that Une poses is still more important than his unacknowledged heart...Always the hero huh... more to come

I cannot tell you how much that vicious smile meanto to me. Perfect touch. I also liked that Jake is nobody's fool; somehow I didn't think Duo's kids would be pushovers... Oddly, I still hate Une even more than Revenant.

I think you do evil and Duo torture better than anyone. I had the freakin' heebe geebees after reading the torture you've put Duo through. The bad guy is obviously crazy. First he wants Duo to trust them, for when he's doing whatever they want, but then he's going to humiliate and break him, threaten him? I think that would cause someone to go berserk when he gets a chance to be in charge of something that would cause destruction. Hopefully Quatre, *let's hear the drums roll for Duo's good friend* can locate him before Duo's a mindless, shriveled up testicles drone.

You must update soon~! I really really wanna know what happens next. What do they do to Duo now? Who was the boy that's supposedly living with him? Do they capture the boy to use against Duo? I think Quatre should have looked more closely. Heero is as upset as he's likely to get, in this version of him ^^; And the fact he was worried about Duo's braid - which is a very non-functional part of an Agent, really - shows he knows and is more emotionally attached to Duo than he lets himself believe. I have a feeling that his decision, to serve the greater good and watch Une, will severely tear him apart in the coming days. As for Une; maybe she knows what Revenant has, that needs to be piloted? She might feel sorry for Duo, but desperately wants to keep Heero out of Revenant's hands, because Heero would represent the greater danger. Ouch. Good torture scene, by the way. Muscle spasms, vomit and all. Revenant is a chilling villain, very business-like. And I'm afraid he's going to go after Duo's kids, especially if they're trying to find their friend. Ohh, tenter-hooks!

pissh! They have Duo listed as only potential, 2nd best... *growls* the bastards, but now they're looking for someone close to Duo to hold for ransom or threaten to get him to cooperate, so what will he be piloting? A mobile suit with a new system like Zero but a more advanced AI (hopefully not psychotic)? Who will they try to snag, that blond boy that confronted heero? *nods in the negative* They wouldn't know about that boy specifically if he lives in a shelter that Duo goes and helps out when he can... prehaps Quat, but Quat is too high profile for them to get to him eaasily, but it's possible that while Quat searches for Duo he slips up on his security? *is still peeved at Heero for being a rat bastard and thinking that Duo would take a 14 yr-old to be his lover...* I remember that Quat said the Duo never seemed to keep money and kept buying things.. i don't think that Duo only bought things, they are too material and won't fill the emptiness that he's trying to cope with. I think that prehaps he donated it to different charities and orphanages, putting himself last probably buying a few of the 'things' that Quat said he bought lots of. Well i could be wrong, but to be sure we could take a peek inside Duo's place? *wags brow* Update soon!!! I love this baby!

Some headway in thickheaded Heero figuring out that Duo is alive and Une is covering it up so much that Duo could probably die from the kidnapper's advances to get heero's Attention. i kindof figured it would take another g-boy to get Heero to act a bit quicker. And how DARE Heero assume that a 14 yr old boy was Duo's lover even though he was dressed as a street kid in too big clothes possibly suggesting that he's homeless or staying at a shelter *growls at Heero's stupidity* I'm glad that that thought was put out of Heero's mind when the little guy said 'we'. What is his problem, though he automatically assumes that when Quat says arrangement that he was talking about some sort of relationship (a very intimate sexual kind) with Duo?! Man Heero's got some issues! This clearly shows he's in denial of the feelings he has towards Duo and in some form of shocked jealousy of someone not only knowing Duo better but being involved with him in ways that Supa Sooldja's been avoiding. Update soon!

Oooh, nice start. I like the way Heero is almost (but not quite) coping with Duo's 'death'. It's like watching a PC function with the fan broken. It's working but it's starting to lose functionality and you know sooner or later it's going to crash and burn. I loved the way you're showing us bits and pieces of Duo's life through the intervention of his friends - and that his life had problems, and good points too. I wonder...if it had been Heero who had disappeared, apart from Duo, would anyone have come asking? The Quatre/Heero interaction was interesting. I really like Quatre here; he's clear-headed and lucid in his pain, with still a good view on Heero's feelings. I like the way he mentions that Duo had photos of Heero...and then he glances around heero's apartment and shuts up. Noticing that Heero didn't have any photos of Duo...? And what's Une up to? I can't wait to find out more!

*o*, how can you do that to Duo, to us? Leaving us hanging until you post another chapter? If they want Heero, why oh why are they torturing Duo? Ahh!!! At least Quatre is on top of things and maybe he can get Heero thinking less about pleasing Une, get off his kester and go find Duo as well as obliterate the bad guys. Une's definitely got some explaining to do. Time to call the other guys in, I think. Great job!
