I don't know why, but I think I expected this to be longer. Actually, I'm glad it wasn't. It was short, sweet and to the point. Just how I like my sap. ^_^ NekuYasha

I think you've done a wonderful job in creating the mood and feel for this bittersweet story. The emotions touched me, left me reflective. The portrayal of Grandma Hitomi was lovely and poignant, touched with the gentleness and love that is something to behold. A beautiful read, and I thank you for sharing it! The qualities that are harder to define---the esoteric ones that you portray here, from pride and dignity, a quiet resolve---are the ones that you've handled with absolute brilliance!

OMFG! That was the ending I always wanted and never got! This was SO sweet but could probably been stretched out a bit more. (That's something you could do now because it's too long to put on the christmas card of long ago anyway) It made me 'weepy' *Steals Fanny's word* at the end and I definately had tears in my eyes. *Pets* It's good luvie.

Overall, very good! The problem that stood out the most, to me, was the spelling and grammar. I, at least, find it really distracting when relatively simple words like "gentle" are misspelt, and in ways the simple use of a spellcheck ought to catch. If nothing else, it makes it look sloppy: as though little attention had been dedicated by the author to making it polished and complete. Also, there were some major puctuation errors. Less problematic, at least to me, were some issues of how things were phrased. I like the ideas themselves a lot, but some of them were expressed in less-than-powerful language or with somewhat "blah" constructions. That being said, I'll reiterate that I found the concept both very innovative and relieving in that it didn't follow the typical formulaic tack of a romance; I found the content moving and thoughtful; and I found some of the expressionsÑsuch as the "musical voice that only the very young possess"Ñalmost poetic. As a fan of Tolkien and someone constantly accused by professors of having too-flowery langauge, I greatly appreciate poeticisms in prose. Anyway. All in all, I like it! Not just compared with other 'fics I've read, but as a piece of creative writing in general.

I love it! But, um, I have no idea what the anime is...Sad, huh? All I know is Pokemon, Digimon, Vampire Princess Miyu, Yu Yu H, Inuyasha, Princess Mononoke, and Cowboy Bebop...And DBZ, DB, and DBGT. But, I LOVE the fic.

I loved it! Not only did Hitomi moved on without Van, one of my favorite bishounens [*sigh* with hearts popping up everywhere], unlike in many of the other fan fictions, the two got to be together, anyway!!! It's so great!!!
