Kagome Higurashi, daughter of a well known businessman and one of the richest families in Japan, lives upon the island of Shikoku, where demons are treated as slaves. However, she falls in love with one such creature, a half demon named Inuyasha. Their relationship has to be kept secret because it's forbidden. Many obstacles block their path as they trudge forward and one such obstacle that will prove to her family that she is free to live her own life and will do what she wants and no one can stop her.
