Forbidden Love Chapter 10

Believe in yourself…

" Cereubus!!!" Sakura screamed, in fear for her favorite guardian.

"Cerubus!!" Yue shouted, with worry for his companion, while spreading his wings and flying towards his `brother' with Sakura in his arms. Setting Sakura firmly onto the ground before landing himself, he wrapped his arms around Sakura's shoulders, which were shaking as tear gathered at the corners of his beloved eyes. His heart sank with worry and concern for Cereubus as well as desolance at Sakura's heartbreaking sobs.

*Cough *

Sakura looked up in surprise and concern at the winged lion. Cereubus coughed for a few more times before he breathed in deeply to replenish the air that had been forcefully driven out of his lungs by the unexpected blow. Stretching his golden wings, Cereubus raised his head to see Sakura looking at him with worry and concern in her gaze. Her eyes brimmed with tears that threatened to fall any moment. Cereubus felt guilty for letting his mistress worry about him like that so he licked Sakura's face tenderly.

" I am alright, Sakura. The blow just took me by surprised."

"Cereubus! Don't you ever scare me like this!" Sakura said tearfully, though relief was obvious in her teary voice.

Xiao Lang broke their conversation and reminded them of the situation at hand. Sakura remained worried at her ability to free everyone from the magic curse. Sensing his Mistress's worry, Yue gave Sakura a comforting glance and mentally told her that everything was going to be alright.

Eriol smiled at Yue before raising his wand to transfer his dark powers to Ruby Moon.

With the sudden surge of power, Ruby Moon arched her wings, creating a blood red blade in her hands. The blood red blade glowed sinisterly in the dark, like a blooded stained sword. Without warning, Ruby Moon sped to Yue, holding out the blade, attacking the Moon Angel.

Caught by surprise, Yue blocked Ruby Moon's attempt with a weak shield as he tried to flew backwards to avoid being cut by the magic blade. Ruby Moon pushed forward and Yue retreated. Giving a swing with her blade, she cut off a lock of Yue's silver hair.

Grinning with victory, Ruby Moon gave Yue a YOU-ARE-INFERIOR look before taunting, " To think that you got extra power from Touya. Is it because of the significant difference of power in our Masters? "

Sakura felt as if a cold hand had gripped her heart tightly. Was it her fault that Cereubus and Yue were hurt? Was it because she did not have enough power? Hadn't Yue nearly vanished from the world because he could not get enough power from her?

Cereubus roared upon hearing the insult. Yue gave Ruby Moon an icy glance.

" This has nothing to do with Sakura." Yue told Ruby Moon calmly, before creating a weapon of his own. It was a long sliver blade; its sharp edges glowing a brilliant white while the flat of the blade shimmered blue light. Ruby Moon's ruby blade pale in comparison to this heavenly sword, created by the purest of soul.

Cereubus growled as his wings glowed brightly. The yellow aura that surrounded the winged lion grew stronger. Just as the both of them were about to counter attack, Sakura shouted.

"Chotomatta!"

Yue calmly pulled back, though his sword was still held in a defensive position. Cereubus merely growled menacingly at the pair, frustrated that he was not allowed to fight.

Sakura gazed worriedly at her brother and Tomoya before turning around to smile hesitantly at Xiao Lang.

"Please help me take care of my Onni-chan and Tomoyo-chan?"

Xiao Lang looked at Sakura worriedly. However, knowing that Sakura would not change her mind, he replied weakly.

"Hai…"

Sakura smiled warmly at Xiao Lang and ensured she was going to be alright. Turning around to face Eriol, Sakura had a determined look on her face.

" Eriol, I do not understand. Aren't you helping me? Why are you doing this?"

"That…" Eriol replied slowly, " would be answered if you break my magic."

Looking up at the sky before pointing up, Eriol warned Sakura.

" The dawn is arising. Are the people going to remain in a deep slumber forever?"

"NO!" Sakura shouted passionately. She could not let such a thing happen. But… But what could she do?

Swing his staff, Eriol sent a burst of flames towards Sakura. Immediately, Sakura's quick reflexes summoned the Shield to protect herself from the flame before releasing the Watery to dose out the fire.

"Two more…" Eriol whispered to himself mysteriously before changing tactics. As soon as it came, the flames disappeared, in its place was bolts of lightening. Sakura used the Jump to escape from the jolts but one stray bolt managed to hit her. Sakura shrieked in pain as she began to fall, unable to move and use the Fly to prevent herself from falling, as her body was temporary paralyzed.

"Sakura!!!!" Yue shouted with panic. As he and Cereubus tried to fly towards Sakura to catch and break her fall, Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun flew in front of them to block their way.

" Your opponents are us."

Yue gave Ruby Moon a sadistic grin as he nodded briefly towards Cereubus. With a wave of his hand, he sent a power beam at Ruby Moon, catching her by surprise. Cereubus then flew towards the pair, surrounding them with intensely hot white yellow flames.

Yue sped towards Sakura as soon as Cereubus flew towards the pair, knowing that Cereubus would take care of the two.

//Sakura hang on! I am coming!!!// Yue silently begged.

He got to Sakura just in time to catch Sakura in an embrace to prevent her fall. Sakura opened her eyes as she slowly gained control over her body. Yue hugged Sakura tightly, wanting to rid the fears of nearly losing his cherry blossom.

Sakura felt loved and protected in Yue's arms. As she reluctantly pried herself from Yue's hold. Suddenly, Sakura realized that all her cards surrounded her, as if trying to protect her. Smiling gratefully to the cards, she looked up at Yue to see the worried look he had on her face. Smiling, she reached out her hands to touch Yue's cool cheeks.

" Yue… I am alright. Don't be so worried?"

" How can I not be worried? I was so afraid to lose you." Yue spoke bluntly.

" Yue… I will be fine. I will not let this beat me. I will win." Sakura spoke determinedly. She would win. She needed to win. She had to break Eriol's magic curse if she wanted to have a life with her beloved.

// What cards could be used to break this curse. Hurry Sakura! There is not enough time for you to dilly-dally!!!!// Sakura scolded herself mentally.

// Sakura, you hadn't change the light and the dark cards have you? // Yue wondered.

// The light and The dark… No… Ahhhhh!!!!!I got it!!!//

// Sakura… please don't shout in my mind?//

// Ah… Gomen ne. I just thought of it. I could use the Light to dispel the darkness!//

" The Light!" Sakura shouted abruptly.

Immediately, Sakura got out the Light and tried to change it into Sakura card.

" What happened? What's wrong?" Sakura asked Yue worriedly when the card refused to change into Sakura card.

" The Light and The Dark are the highest ranking cards after us. You would have to change the both of them together…" Cereubus yelled from the mist of his battle with the pair.

//What?!?! I don't have the power to change both the highest ranked cards together! Oh.. What should I do! There is no hope now…//

"Sakura! Sakura! Stop it !" Yue shook Sakura out of her reverie. Sakura gazed up at Yue, defeat in her teary eyes. Yue felt his heart broke as Sakura's tears overflowed and trailed down her cheeks.

" Sakura," Yue spoke softly. " Sakura, You can do this. You are the most powerful magician in the world. You can change the cards. Don't lose hope. Reach within yourself to find the power. You can do this. I'll help you."

"You will? Yue… I …"

"Hush… Lets' change the cards. There is no time to waste." Yue smiled at Sakura as he wiped her tears away with his sleeves. Sakura nodded bravely, her confidence regained.

Holding out her staff, Sakura willed the cards to change. Her platform of the stars appeared beneath her, shinning brightly. Yue's arms surrounded her, giving her the courage and strength as she used her powers to change the cards.

Exhausted, Sakura felt her magic being drained so quickly that it left her feeling weak. Yue sent all his magic reserves to Sakura, channeled to the cards. He too, felt weak from the loss of magic. As the last of his magic was sent to the cards, he collapsed. Sakura turned to him, worry was obvious in her voice as she asked Yue if he was alright.

" I… am … fine… You must… must not… give … up…." Yue managed out before he faded into unconsciousness.

" Yue! Yue!!" Sakura cried.

Determined to win this battle, Sakura turned to her cards and focused all her power on changing the cards.

// I must finish changing the cards. I must… or Yue-san would not be able to wake up… Onni-chan…. Tomoyo-chan… everyone!!//

Probing into her power reserves, she used the magic to finish the changing of the cards.

// I believe in myself. //

A bright light appeared as the changing was completed.

" The Light!"

A bright lady appeared from the card, dazzling everyone with her glow as she floated skywards, sending down rays of magic light.

The darkness was dispelled.

The curse was broken.

"Eriol Master, your magic curse had been broken." Ruby Moon informed.

" That is good isn't it?" Spinel Sun replied.

" Yes. This is finally over…" Eriol looked happily at the source of the light.

**********************Change of scene*************************

" Yue!!! Yue !! Are you alright?"

Weakly, Yue opened his eyes to see Sakura leaning above him. Her gazed filled with love and concern as she hugged him.

"Yes…" Yue groaned as his body still felt weak from the loss of too much magic.

Meeting Yue's eyes. Sakura confirmed her victory as she leaned forward to kiss Yue on the lips. Yue opened his lips to allow the entry of Sakura's tongue as the both of them got carried away with the passionate kiss.

"Eh hem!"

Sakura sprang away from Yue guiltily as Cereubus grinned wildly at them.

" This is finally over…." Sakura sighed.

"Yes. This is over."

Sakura gasped as she turned to see Eriol beaming from ear to ear.

"Eriol!"

Finally the battle ended!!! ^.^ Enjoy! Sorry I took so long. I am very busy with my schoolwork and hardly have time for internet … Sigh… Anyway, I am actually supposed to be doing my English Comprehension.
