Moving Out

“To-ya?” the grey haired boy called, looking up from his textbook to the clock on the wall and then to his lover's blue, blue eyes.

“Yes Yuki?” the boy answered.

“It's getting late, it's better for me to get going…”

“What? You mean you're going home, but why now? It's still early!”

“No To-ya, really, I have to go… It's been almost a week since I've slept there for the last time, the house is a mess and I can't leave everything the way it is… I have to clean, wash, iron, fold…” Yukito sighed miserably.

“All right Yuki, I got it… do you need help?

“Well, yes do need help, but I don't want help, especially not from you, or I won't be doing any cleaning at all…”

Touya laughed at Yukito's reasoning, clasping his hand tightly on Yukito's shoulder he said “Well I guess I can behave myself for a couple of days, can't I? Let's go Yuki I won't leave you alone with all that cleaning… besides, if your house is abandoned it's mainly because of me isn't it?”

Yukito gave his boyfriend a thankful look and started gathering his things up from all around the room.

Touya got his backpack and left a note to his father explaining he would spend the weekend at the Tsukishiro's residence.

-----------------------------------------

As the grey haired boy unlocked the door Touya frowned, “My God Yuki, you really meant it when you said it needed cleaning!”

“Well, it's your fault if it does…” he answered blushing and pretending to be hurt by the comment.

Touya pulled Yukito into his arms and made the boy turn to face him, he had a mischievous smile on his lips, “It sure is Yuki… but we can fix that, can't we?”

Yukito avoided the kiss by turning his face, “To-ya you promised to behave! If you don't I'll send you straight back home!”

“All right Yuki, lets clean up now so later we can play a little…”

Yukito turned away from him and entered the house, it would be a long weekend and he just hoped that, by the end of it he had finished his housework.

----------------------------------

“I'm tired Yuki… can't we rest a little bit now? Just a little bit…” Touya pleaded, exhausted. It was late at night and they had already finished cleaning up the first floor, now all that was left were the bedrooms, but Yukito wanted to finish cleaning up his own room before they stopped, the rest of the house could wait until the next morning but his room had to be clean soon, he didn't want to sleep on the couch.

“Yes, you can rest now To-ya, I'll just finish this up… Meanwhile you can fix us something to eat… if you fell like it, of course!” He added in a rush, not wanting to force his boyfriend to do more slave work…

“Sure Yuki…” To-ya sighed “anything but more cleaning…” He went downstairs and to the kitchen.

When he noticed how tired the other was, Yukito regretted being too harsh on Touya, but he knew just what would help make him fell better, he grinned … but first, the room…

“Oh well…”

-------------------------------

Touya was longing for a bath, but he knew Yuki would be starving when he finished cleaning the room, it was already a miracle he'd spent such a long time without eating anything at all.
Finally, after what seemed like forever he heard the boy's steps on the stairs.

“To-ya do are you finished yet? I'm starving!” Yukito complained as he entered the small kitchen.

Touya chuckled and turned to face his lover, pointing at the table and the plate containing an absurd amount of pasta.

Yukito smiled but frowned just as quickly, “But To-ya, what are you going to eat?” he asked innocently.

Touya tried not to laugh but his koi was just so cute when playing the innocent, “Don't worry Yuki, I've cooked enough for both of us!”

Yukito joined Touya's laughter and they sat down to eat.

They ate quietly until Yukito finished. As soon as he'd eaten all the pasta he could manage, which was of course a lot, he turned to Touya and spoke quietly.

“You know To-ya…”

“Yes?” The brown haired boy lifted his eyes from the plate and fixed his gaze on his boyfriend.

“I was wondering,” Yukito fidgeted a little with his napkin before he blurted, “What do you think of moving into my place?”

“Uh?” Touya choked on his mouthful of pasta and for a second he thought Yukito was joking.

Meanwhile Yukito was blushing a deep shade of pink and turning suspiciously red. “I'm sorry To-ya… I shouldn't have brought this up so soon… I mean… It's just that, after what happened last month and Sakura-chan's knowing about us… and, there's your father as well… and…”

“Yuki…” Touya managed with a soothing tone after a few deep breaths and half a glass of juice, “I didn't mean to react like that…”

Yukito raised his head and his eyes shone with hope, “You mean…” he whispered.

“I didn't mean anything Yuki. We'll have to discuss this first” Touya added gently but firmly. “I agree that you can't keep going to my house like this and staying until late, or sleeping there more often than not… but moving out like this?”

“Well, it's only logical” Yukito reasoned, “Nobody leaves in this house but me and, as you can see, it's far too big for just one person, I mean… now that you all know my `grandparents' are just a big fat lie…” Yukito shrunk a little in his chair.

Touya reached for his boyfriend's hand and held it tightly in his, “Don't say that Yuki… it was Yue's way to protect himself and you…” he whispered.

“Well… true, but it was still a lie”

“Yuki…” Touya could sense his lover's sadness, the tears lurking just behind those slightly too bright hazel eyes of his.

The brown haired boy knew Yukito felt guilty about all that had happened to Sakura, from the tinniest harmless lies, to the day of the Final Judgment, when he finally revealed himself as Yue.

“Yuki don't do this” he whispered, standing to cross the space between him and the gray haired boy. “Don't punish yourself for things that you can't change anymore… for things you could never have changed. Even back then, I know you weren't able to do things differently; if you were, I'm sure you'd have, wouldn't you?” He asked caressing his lover's hair gently.

“Yes… I would…” He answered; his voice shaky. “But if only…”

“There are no `ifs' Yuki” Touya kept his tone gentle and soothing, “The kaijuu doesn't hold anything against you… She forgave you, why can't you forgive yourself?”

Yukito sobbed and, not able to hold his tears anymore he hid his head in his folded arms over the table.

“Yuki, this is not just about lying is it?” He asked, circling the boy with loving arms and pulling him slightly so his head was resting on his shoulder.

Yukito didn't answer, he just kept sobbing and crying until Touya's shirt was sticking to his skin from the shed tears.

The brown haired boy held his lover tightly and after the first painful minutes of crouching beside Yukito's chair he chose to sit on the floor with the boy on his lap.

They sat there for almost an hour, Touya leaning against the table with Yukito draped over him, crying like he had never cried in his life.

“I'm sorry…” He finally whispered and his voice was rough from sobbing.

“Tell” Touya stated simply.

“I'm sorry?” Yukito lifted his head to face Touya.

“Tell me what's wrong” He explained.

“I… I can't…” The boy shook his head.

“Yukito” Touya admonished.

“It's me... and Yue… It's us…this!” he gave in and pointed at himself.

“This?” Touya arched an eyebrow.

“This preternatural living of ours…” he sighed, “I… I'm not human To-ya and… and it's not fair… to you I mean, it's not fair that you can't even have a human boyfriend… It's not even fair that you should have a boyfriend!” he added painfully.

The blue eyed boy hugged Yukito tightly and rocked them slightly, still speaking to him in that soothing tone, “Yuki… this is not up for you to decide. I fell in love with you… the fact that you are not human, not a girl… it doesn't bother me one bit!”

Yukito lifted bloodshot eyes to look into Touya's eyes, “You mean it?” he asked sheepishly.

“Of course I do. I love you Yuki. I've fallen for girls before… but they didn't bring me the same happiness I found with you… the sense of completion… the righteousness of being together” Touya said lovingly, adoring his frail Yuki.

“Now that I come to think about it…” He kept talking, his eyes locked with Yukito's bright ones “There's not one single reason why I shouldn't move in with you…”

“To-ya!” Yukito chirped happily, his eyes brightened with something other than tears.

“After all… father could use the space… and I wouldn't' have to bother with the kaijuu anymore…”

Yukito smiled and kissed his boyfriend soundly. Touya laughed.

“Thank you To-ya” The gray haired boy whispered.

“My pleasure Yuki” Touya whispered back and after a moment more of lounging in the kitchen floor, he picked Yuki up and carried him upstairs to spend their first night in the `new' house in an unforgettable way.
