Chapter 6 continues from where chapter 5 left off. It's all my chapter this time!

Chapter 6: A broken promise

Boo noticed Chase was standing off to the side looking a little jealous. She walked over to Chase and asked what was wrong, speaking in English the whole time.

"What's wrong Chase?"

"Nothing."

"Oh, please. You and I both know that's not true, so what's up?"

"Well, you obviously like Ken and he likes you, but I doubt who I like likes me back."

"Who?"

"You can't tell anyone, okay? Especially him."

"Okay."

Chase whispered the name in Boo's ear: "Matt."

"Um, well, I think he's gay."

"That's why I doubt he likes me. He probably going out with Tai by the way they act."

"Yeah. I'm gonna go ask `em."

"Just don't mention my crush, okay?"

"Gotcha."

Boo walked over to where Matt and Tai were talking.

"Okay, I want to know what the deal with you two is."

"What do you mean?" Matt asked surprised.

"You guys act really, um . . . `friendly', if you know what I mean."

The suspects sighed.

"Well, we figured you'd ask sooner or later."

"Promise not to freak out?" Matt asked. Boo nodded. "Okay, me and Tai are gay and we're going out. Everybody else knows-well, except Chase now."

"We were both suspecting, so I decided to ask."

"Is she crazy about it?"

"No. Well, at least she didn't seem to be when she told me she li-I mean, um . . . oh, boy."

"What'd she tell you?" Tai asked.

"I'm sworn to secrecy."

"Come on, please?" Matt made puppy dog eyes; the ones he knew made Tai do anything.

"Don't do that! You'll make me tell and I'm not supposed to!"

Matt began pouting and Boo gave in.

"Arg. You're the only one who's ever got me to tell anything, and if you tell Chase I told you, you're dead."

"Yes, sir!" Tai did a military salute, mocking Boo.

"I'm only telling Matt, you dimwit."

"Fine!" Tai stuck his tongue out.

Boo leaned over and whispered the secret that had been told to her only minutes ago.

"Is that all?"

"Yeah, but you can't tell Chase I told you. She'd kill me. She really didn't want me to tell. In fact, she was reluctant to even tell me. You have to tell her about you two, and not make it sound like you know."

"Okay. We should probably tell now. Come on, Tai."

Matt grabbed Tai and pulled him over to where Chase was standing.

"Chase, we have to tell you something. You're the only one who doesn't know now."

"Okay-shoot."

"Me and Tai are gay and dating. Are you okay with that?"

"Yeah. You guys are lucky to have each other, and I'm happy for you. Anyways-what time is it?"

"Almost six, why?" (a/n: six in Japanese is Roku for anybody who wants to know.)

"I have to get home. I'll see you guys tomorrow, okay?"

"We only have one song left though."

"I know, but I have to get home. I'll be dead if I don't."

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

Chase turned and walked out of the garage and started down the street. Matt noticed a single tear fall out of her eye as she walked away.

"Matt!"

"Huh? What?"

"Come on. We need to do that last song before everybody gets restless."

"Okay."

They walked over and started the last song.

Review please! I know it's kind of short, and things are still a little boring, but they'll get better soon. And everybody's gonna kill me when I get chapter 28 up! Yes, it's long, but most of the chapters are pretty short. But 28's gonna be long.
