Chapter Four

The train ride was amazingly fast. It comes from riding a Trailmon. Tora got off the Train and looked at the spooky looking temple. “No wonder they gave this temple such a scary name.” He said aloud. He looked back at the Trailmon and was instantly saddened. ‘I see, any Digimon they find useful they put them in to slavery.’ He thought to himself.

“Excuse me, Master Tora.” It was the same hunter that led him to the Trailmon. For some reason he looked extremely worried. “Master Genai would like to see. Please, allow me to escort you to him.”

Tora followed him in to the temple and found him self wishing he was still in the orphanages that he came to call home.

Walking through halls and going up stairs he finally reached a set of double door, with the image of a devil on one door and an angel on the other. The young hunter which led Tora to this room opened the door and ushered him in.

Tora walked in to the room and saw and endless amount of book upon shelves. The shelves were along the wall. The room was mad in to what seemed like a perfect figure eight. There was a desk in the center of the room and no other then Genai was sitting at it, waiting for Tora. The door closed behind Tora and he was left alone with Genai, his thoughts and himself.

“Welcome ‘Blade of Judgment’.” Genai got up from his chair and bowed to Tora. “How was the train ride, did you have any troubles?”

“I had none at all, Genai-sama.” Tora answered politely. “In fact I am eager to get started on governing this part of the Digital world.”

“Very good, I am pleased with your eagerness to get started.” Genai smiled at the younger boy and walked towards him. “I shall show you around so that you are better acquainted with your new home.”

Tora nodded and followed Genai. “I’m sure there are no differences than that of the Temple of Dragon Flames.”

Tora was correct. The Temple of Silent Quickening was the same as the Temple of Dragon Flames. However, there was one room Tora had not seen. In the dark of the basement of the temple, there was a floating black crystal the size of a large boulder but fashioned to look more like a diamond. “What in the name of the four guardians is this?” Tora asked in utter amazement.

“This is a ‘Control Spire Fragment’.” Genai said with a grin on his face. “This is what keeps the Digimon from digivlolving and forces them to de-digivolve when they have taken an extreme amount of damage.”

“I see, and do all of the temples have this fragment?” Tora questioned, still looking up at the black stone.

“Yes, they do…I see you‘re still inquisitive as when you first came to the Digital world.” Genai laughed and patted Tora on his shoulders. “Well, if you have anymore questions just contact me from the communication room.”

“Where are you Genai-sama?” Tora asked showing the whites of his teeth in a great big smile.

“I’m off to check out the other temples.” Genai said walking out of the room.

“May I ask you leave the Trailmon Genai-sama?” Tora bowed his head.

“Such a simple request. Sure, I came here by different means anyway.” Genai bowed back and waved his hand good-bye to Tora. “Be safe Tora and do your best.”

“I will Genai-sama.” Tora kept his head bowed until Genai was far from the fragment room. He looked back at the stone and he knew his new mission. He had to destroy the spires fragments, save the digimon and bring peace to the Digital world. All he need was someone to help him. “I’m in way over my head.” He said looking down at the floor.
