Chapter Two

Saiyan Goddess

Sakki: Here's chapter two! ^_^

Higashi no Kaioshin: Please don't hurt me....

Sakki: Of course I won't! You're my muse!

Higashi no Kaioshin: Then can you hook me up with that Katrina chick??

Sakki: ~_~ grr....

Higashi no Kaioshin: Well, it was worth a try... ^_~

It was morning before Kaioshin even realized he'd fallen asleep. As the pale light of dawn spilled through his window and onto his bed, he slowly opened his eyes and looked around his bedchamber. It was the same as usual; his large bed in the corner against the pale blue walls, the soft, red, plush carpeting that blanketed his floor... yet, something was amiss. There was a faded trail of ki energy left behind from someone's aura.

But who... he thought for a moment; no one other than himself was allowed in his private quarters; that's why it was so easy to tell someone had been in his room. The only aura trails that should have been there were his own; he concentrated for a moment. Whoever had come in had done a good job of masking their ki so he wouldn't notice... and that was a hard thing to do. But why had they come? He searched his room for a moment with his eyes, then with his mind; nothing had been taken, nothing had so much as been moved.

Sliding out from under the silken covers of his bed, he stretched, yawning. He padded over to his dresser and took out a black T-shirt, pulling it on over his head. Since he didn't have any meetings today, he didn't need to put on his formal wear. Not bothering to change the shorts he had put on the night before (Hey, they're still clean... he reasoned), he looked into the glassy surface of his mirror and ran a jewel-encrusted brush through his soft, ivory hair. After wiping his face off with a washcloth, he brushed his teeth quickly. Walking out of the bathroom, he sat down in his huge cushy chair and looked up at the sky through the glass ceiling of his room.

"Hmm... what to do today... I wonder..." suddenly a smile crossed his face. "I'll visit Katrina... she always has something interesting to say or do..." he looked once more at the aura trails, "and I'll deal with those later... it's too early to be thinking about this..." he yawned again, and walked out of his room towards the kitchen.

Katrina sighed, sitting at the table, staring blankly into her breakfast. She had no complaints; the food was delicious, but she had other things on her mind. And they began and ended with a certain lavender deity. The blue-haired girl leaned back in the richly decorated mahogany chair and gazed up at the expertly painted ceiling. She smiled, seeing a few of the images depicting Kaioshin. She closed her eyes, imaging his pale, lavender skin coated with a thin sheen of sweat, his onyx eyes dark with lust...

"Good morning, Katrina." The Supreme Kai said, walking into the kitchen.

She looked up at him and gasped softly, her light sapphire hair framing her pale skin as a deep blush spread over her face. He chuckled softly, seeing what she was daydreaming about, then took a seat beside her. She wouldn't look at him.

"Well... I guess it's a good thing I used those bubbles after all; we wouldn't want you imagining something more vivid, now would we?"

He didn't think it was possible, but she went about three or four shades redder. He grinned, standing, and stood behind her chair, his hands resting lightly on her shoulders. Leaning down so that his lips were nearly against her ear, he murmured, "Or maybe we would..." he felt her tense up, her pulse quickening under his fingers, and realized what he was doing. I'm losing control... have I forgotten who she is? Who I am? He sat back down, and looked at her.

"So, what are we going to do today? I don't have anything planned, I cleared this day up... although the Kai's would have a heart-attack if they knew I canceled all their appointments for a day off..." he grinned boyishly.

"'We'?" she said. "As in you and me?"

When he nodded, she smiled. "Okay! How about we go for a walk? Maybe a picnic?"

He nodded. "Lovely idea..." then summoned the cook. A small trollish-looking creature scurried out and Kaioshin said, "Please pack a basket with some sushi and sashimi sandwiches and a bottle of Dragon's Fire wine."

As the cook hurried off to fulfill the order, Katrina looked at him strangely. "You like those kinds of sandwiches as well? I thought I was the only one..."

He smiled. "Sashimi and Sushi sandwiches are my favorite... no one else will usually touch them..."

The cook came back out with a capsule labeled "Basket", and Kaioshin took it, sliding it into his pocket. After thanking the chef, he nodded to Katrina and they started out the door.

About an hour later, the two were sitting under a large, leafy tree on a hill beside a small lake; more of a large pond, really. They had already eaten, after finding the spot while they had been walking. Kaioshin was leaning against the trunks, head pillowed on his arms. He closed his eyes, smelling the sweet heat of the humid air mixed with the rich scent of the soil and the plants.

Katrina was on her side facing him, picking at the grass, seemingly deep in thought. She looked up at him, smiling softly at his peaceful expression.

"Who do you have in mind to be your wife?" The question came out of nowhere. She couldn't believe she had said that, and looked away sheepishly as he opened an eye and regarded her intently. Opening both eyes, he leaned up and turned towards her, dark obsidian piercing deep sea green. She looked away again.

"Katrina...?" he murmured. She turned towards him and gasped softly as he pressed his lips to hers, kissing her passionately. He had done it only as an experiment, to see whether it was really love or just lust, but he found himself caught up in the fiery passion of the moment. She slid her arms up around his neck, pulling him down on top of her, and slid her tongue over his lips and into his mouth. His hands slid down comfortably around her waist.

Suddenly realizing what he was doing, he broke the kiss and pulled himself off of her. She lay there, her chest rising and falling, breathless even though it was just one kiss. Hell, he was out of breath too. And, strangely enough, he wanted to kiss her again.

Standing up, he pulled her to her feet, and said, "Come on, we better get back before they start to wonder where we are..."

She looked at him, wishing they had done more than just kiss. He sighed. This was a mistake... he was starting to care, something he vowed he'd never do again. A pained expression crossed his face. Why... Why must it be this way? Sometimes I really wish I wasn't who I am... people wouldn't pretend to be my friends then... and the ones that truly aren't wouldn't be in danger because of my position... he closed his eyes. And if anything were to happen to her, I don't know what I'd do...

He was in deep this time.

Sakki: Sorry this took a few days to get out... and I still don't know where I'm going with this... ~_~

Higashi no Kaioshin: That's okay, I still love you... but, can you have a lemon scene with me and that Katrina chick??

Sakki: ...

Higashi no Kaioshin: PLEASE????

Sakki: *sigh* maybe...

Higashi no Kaioshin: YEAH!!!!

Sakki: I'll have the next chapter out as soon as possible... I know this one wasn't that good, but whaddya gonna do, right? ^_~
