Chapter 3

a/n: You knew it was coming. Kudos to all you who knew it was coming or

Disclaimer: I do not own Zoids or the characters within Zoids. I, however,

own the character, Rachel. I do not own Fuhrer (who will not be in this

chapter). The cute, crazy lil organoid belongs to a person named Zinou. I

wish I came up with it though, then I could use the organoid in every story I

wrote that had to do with Vega! But, sadly, I do not own Fuhrer, talk to

Zinou 'bout him , IF YOU MUST!

Vega's New Team

Bit Cloud sat back in his chair. He closed his eyes and began to think.

He couldn't have just disappeared off the face of Zi, could he? He should

have challenged me to a rematch by now. He talked to me a long time

ago, but that is about it. What is he planning? The computer whirred.

The search was halfway done. Vega Obscura, where the hell are you? The

computer stopped whirring. Bit opened his eyes and sat up. He clicked on

the only link on the screen. The link brought him to a webpage titled "Life

as a 13 year old Backdraft pilot: Vega Obscura's journal"

"Vega's journal? Online?" he asked himself. There was over 100 pages of

entries. He clicked the last page.

I'm sorry journal. This will be my last entry for a while, or at

least for my current team. For all you new comers, or for the clueless,

whichever you are, my name is Vega Obscura. I am currently 17. I have

an organoid named Fuhrer. I pilot the Ultimate X, the Berserk Fury.

After the Royal Cup, I had to do some major work on it, but it fixed

easily enough. I will be in the Backdraft until my departure tomorrow.

I will be in search of a new team. Good-bye for now my dear friends, or

to anyone who reads this.

Vega's notes: **updated** To a Mr. Bit Cloud: If you ever stumble

upon this before I contact you, let it be known that sometime in the near

future, I will contact you. I'll inform you as to why later. Oh, and

Bit...I faced Brad in a Zoid battle a couple of days ago, just to let you

know, I was told to kill him, but I did not. Damn...I think that I'm a bit

to kind...lol. Neways, this is the King signing off.

Bit finished reading and thought, why would Vega want to contact

me? Does he want a rematch already? No...I think I know him, or well,

should know him. He thinks the same as me when it comes to Zoid

battles. He would have issued a challenge already. His trail of thought

was lost when someone rang the doorbell. Bit reluctantly got up and walked

towards the base door. Someone rang the bell again.

"I'm coming!" he yelled. "Hold On!"

He finally got to the door and opened it up. He stared in shock at the visitor.

The words wouldn't come out of his mouth.

"Ve-Ve-Ve- Vega?" he stuttered.

"Hello Bit Cloud," said the 17 old. "Why are you so surprised to see me?

You knew I would come, eventually."

"But when you said contact, I never really thought you would come face to

face," said Bit.

"You found my journal?" asked Vega. Bit nodded. "I guess you really

wanted an opponent worthy to face you."

"I guess," said Bit laughing. "So...you here for a rematch?"

"Hm...a rematch from a loss about 4 years ago. Sounds good, but I have

other matters to attend to," said Vega.

"Such as?" asked Bit.

"Are you always this curious?" asked Vega. "Well I guess you should be if I

just appear at your front door. If you must know, I have to ask the Blitz

Team something."

"And what, prey tell, must you ask us?" asked Bit.

"Are you guys requiting?" asked Vega (a/n: YAY! lol...)

"Um...yea I think we need a 4th member. Why? Ya wanna join?" asked Bit.

"Um...well...duh!!" said Vega.

"Uh...um...well...um...DOC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Bit yelled.

"God Bit," said Vega, "you don't have to yell."

"BIT!!!!!" yelled someone inside.

"Oh shit," muttered Bit.

"You better run!" yelled the person.

"I've woken up the girl," said Bit.

"Who?" asked Vega.

"Rachel...she's a teammate that joined the team about 3 months ago after

Leena left. I guess she's a bit better than Leena, but she still has a temper,"

said Bit.

A 17 year old, brown eyed, light brown haired girl stomped to the front

door.

"Don't kill me demon girl!" yelled Bit running behind Vega.

"Hello," said Vega. "You must be Rachel. Nice to meet you."

"Um...yea, I am. Who might you be?" asked Rachel.

"My name is Vega; Vega Obscura," replied Vega.

"Vega Obscura?" asked Rachel. "How do I know that name? Aren't you the

Berserk Fury pilot?"

"Yea...I fought Bit in the Royal Cup. He beat me," said Vega. "Oh, and

speaking of Bit, don't kill him. Well, at least not right now. He's gonna ask

Doc if I can join."

"Don't worry," said Rachel. "I won't kill him in front of the King of

Unsanctioned Zoid Battles."

"Heh, good," said Bit coming out from behind Vega.

"But that doesn't mean that later he'll be safe," said Rachel in a voice that

would put Leena to shame.

"Wow...you were right," whispered Vega to bit, "she is bad."

"I HEARD THAT!!!!!!!" yelled Rachel.

"Don't kill me!" yelled Bit running into the base. Rachel was about to chase

after Bit and Vega, when she saw that Vega was standing just standing there

and not running.

"Why aren't you running?" asked Rachel. "I could kill you."

"You could," said Vega, "but I know you're not gonna. Anyways, you're

about as scary as the rest of my life."

"That's no fun," pouted Rachel. "I'm supposed to strike fear into the hearts

of ALL men!!!!"

"Vega Obscura, huh?" asked a voice from the hall.

"You must be Doc," said Vega.

"How'd ya guess?" asked Doc Toros stepping outside.

"Well, you are the only one over 30 here, so I put 2 and 2 together," said

Vega.

"Before I tell you if you can be on the team or not, you have to answer a

question," said Doc.

"What?" asked Vega.

"Do you still have the Berserk Fury?" asked Doc with excitement in his

voice.

"No," said Vega with sarcasm obviously present in his voice. "That Zoid

behind me is just something that looks exactly like it."

"The Berserk Fury is just about the coolest looking Zoid I have ever seen,"

said Doc.

"You said that with mine and every other new Zoid," said Rachel.

"I can't help it," said Doc hanging his head, "it's a sickness."

"So can I join?" asked Vega.

"Why not?" asked Doc. "We do have that empty slot and about 5 extra

rooms. Your first fight is in 3 days. That will be your first test."

"Cool," said Bit walking out of the base. "Welcome to the team, Obscura."

"Thanks, I guess," replied Vega.

"Bit will show you to your room and such," said Doc yawning. "I'm going

back to sleep."
