He looked at her. "if you want me to I will, but promise you'll let me explain before you get all mad"

She looked at him, "I . . . ok I promise, but I want you to be the one to tell me, I don't want to hear it from another person ok".

He nodded and they continued to walk down the hall. He stopped outside of a door and glanced at her, she shrugged, not knowing what to expect. He opened then door and they walked in.

she glanced at him as they made their was down another hall, "I know I said I'll drop it but, I just want to know am I better off not knowing?".

He nodded, "yes you are better off not knowing, but it deals with you too".

She looked at him, starting to wonder what he meant

"besides I promised that I will be the one to tell you, and I'm not sure how soon you'll find out"

"you know I'm starting to think that you are with this catch thing",

he ignored her question as they truend a bend and saw another door coming up.

She stopped and looked at him, "you are aren't you?"

He stopped and looked back at her, hearing fear in her voice, "yes i am, and I dont want you to get into it any more then you already are". He turned and started to walk away.

"then all of this. . . it was all a trap?, these catchers set it up to recapture me didn't they"

he stopped and looked at the ground, "no . . .no this isnt a trap. Look I lost some of my best friends to the catchers, and the only way to keep my sister out iof it was to join them".

She looked at him, *he has a sister?* she walked up to him. "sorry, it is just all it this is new, it is all so hard to understand and I can take it all in. I feel like I'm in a different world, I didn't mean to take it out on you".

He looked up and met her glance, "I didn't have anything to do with you being captured and brought here, nor do I plan on being involved if you get captured again I swear."

She looked at him then smiled. "its ok, I believe you. Even though I should be more careful at trusting people, you have done nothing to me, and I trust you"

He smiled at her. "it isnt about that but thanks lets just find my dad and go find something to do"

She nodded and they walked through the door. Riku looked around and headed towards a door, she looked and saw people through the window. "um. . . Riku shouldnt we knock first?"

He grinned and opened the door, "hey everyone miss me?". They all looked at him but didn't say anything, amber slipped in behind him and saw someone waving them out of the room through the back window. riku nodded and looked at amber.

"you were saying?", she shook her head, knowing that her cheeks were probably red

"don't worry, come on follow me". He grinned and started to walk away,

they walked to the other side of the room and went through another door. He opened it and walked in motioning her to follow. They walked in and stood at the back of the room. She looked at matt but he was listening to a man talk, the man saw them but continued on with what ever he was talking about, riku grabbed her arm and started to pull her towards another door. He let go and they walked in. he closed it and looked around.

"make yourself at home this is my dad's office, so don't go through the files, but everything else is fair game"

she smiled and looked around the room her eyes came across an arcade game, she glanced at him,

"hey it was a gift, but since I barely stay at my house to play it he lets me keeps it here, besides I think he plays it sometimes as well".

She nodded and looked around still grinning.

"you want to play it?, I know he is probably going to take awhile with the meeting so we might as well kill some time"

she looked at him then to the game. "Sure but I got to warn you im not that good at shooting games".

They walked over and he plugged it in, the scene came to life. After it loaded he opened the door and hit a switch a few times.

"where I come from that can get you put in jail"

he grinned . "as I said it was a gift, I doubt anyone can put me in jail for playing my own game".

He picked up both guns and handed her one, "ok you do know how to shoot though right?"

She looked at the gun and grinned. "what isnt there a visor for that?" she looked at him then to the game. "yeah I know".

He shrugged and picked the options and they started to play. After about twenty minutes his father came in. he sat in his desk, and closed his eyes. riku still continued to play, so she guessed it was alright. She looked back at the game and was about the shoot.

"so what can I do for you two up to?"

riku put the gun down and glanced at him grinned. "hmm nothing". She looked at him then back to his father. He looked at her and then to his father "no she needs a place to stay for awhile and I was hoping she could stay at our house"

his father looked at her, and she felt frozen. "riku, you know I don't. . "

"no it isnt like that, I told you I wont and I promise I wont"

his dad glanced at him then back to her. "I don't see why not them. Sure she can stay. Just call me mister matizumi"

she smiled. "ok thanks" she glanced at riku suddenly feeling alittle strange

"oh and riku I want to talk to you, about you know what"

she put the gun down, "want me too leave?"

riku shook his head. "no it is fine, she already knows"

Mr. Matizumi glanced between them, "how come she is still with you then?"

amber glanced at the ground, *I was wondering the same thing *, riku looked at her. Then back to his father. "only she could tell you that".

Mr. Matizumi looked at amber, "ok then what do you know?"

She looked up at him "about second earth not much of anything, or do you mean about riku being with the catchers?"

Mr. Matizumi glanced at his son and looked back at her. "just what all did he tell you?"

She glanced at riku but he was looking the other way, "not much, we decided it would be better if I didn't know that much, but he promised to tell me later"

Mr. Matizumi looked at her and stood up, he moved around his desk and walk towards he, he glanced at riku then back to her. "and you believe him?. Even after finding out he is a catcher?"

She looked at him, *gee and this is his father? * "yeah of course I do, why shouldtn I he hasn't done anything to me"

Mr. Matizumi. "and. . ."

Riku looked at them. "dad could you drop it?, we were just talking about this before we got here. She knows all that she needs to know right now"

His father sighed. "alright, I just don't want to see her get caught, even with your help, if they see you trying to help her they will go after your sister"

Riku shot a glance at his father, "look don't worry. They wont dare touch her, if they even try then I can get the whole organization busted for it, and that will be the end of the catchers"

"I thought it was a law that allowed them"

"it is, but only certain ages, between 13 and 18 are allowed, and his sister is only 11. So he is right it is against the law, but these people are ruthless they wouldn't care"

riku looked at her, then to his father. "look they wont do anything to her. They wouldn't try it, they are making to much money off of it to try and jeopardize their scandal"

amber was getting surprised my the minute. "they get paid?, for kidnapping people?.

Mr. Matizumi looked at her then to riku. "what does she mean by that?"

Riku looked at her then to him, "she is from earth, they already caught her there and she got away. So she doesn't know about it"

"you said you told her it"

"no I said she knows what she needs to, I was waiting until we got back at the house to show her it. "

amber looked at Mr. Matizumi and saw that he was a little surprised. "you still have the tapes?"

*tapes?, what tapes. Oh god I think im losing it * she glance at riku hoping he'd explain

"yes along with a visor full of it, I was going to show her the video because it is less graphic and violent"

she looked at both with pleading eyes. "could we not talk about this right now please?, it is all to much to think that I was going to be killed or worse just for money".

Riku looked at him and nodded. "sure, but that isnt how it is, you'll see when you are ready".

She smiled weakly and sat down in a chair, not caring if it is bad manners.

Mr. Matizumi looked at her. "it is ok, you need to know about it but take your time, there is no need to rush it, and im sorry it has been long since we have had contact with earth that we forgot they don't know our laws and such up here" he looked at riku, "I'll be home late. When she is ready show her the tapes. I'll see you there",

Riku nodded and looked at amber "you ready?". She nodded and got up,

They headed to the door, "oh and riku and amber. Behave you two"

Amber looked away from both of them burning red, and riku glared at his father who was smiling. They both walked down the hall back towards the bay, where they parked the mini-bikes. Riku glanced at her a few time but didn't say anything.

"these tapes, do the catchers know you have them?, I mean cant you take the tapes to the police and get them all arrested?"

he looked at her and shook his head. "no it is a law, they are allowed to take them and do as they will, but the only way to arrest them is if they break the law, and so far that hasn't happened. But as for the tapes, no they don't know about them and even if they did they wouldn't care"

she nodded and looked back at the ground. "so it is that bad, what do they do to them?"

he looked at her then back in front of them. "they. . . .they call it training, and in a way it is, but I bet none of the girls want to do it, I wouldn't see why they would."

She glanced at him. "but you didn't answer my question"

He looked at the ground, "amber could we not talk about it?, your not ready yet, and I . . . never mind"

She nodded, "yeah your probably right, so where was your sister when we were at the house?"

He glanced at her, glad she changed the subject, "she was probably at school, I get out about two hours before she does, come to think of it she should be getting out soon"

She smiled. "you want to pick her up, or does she normally walk home"

He looked at the ground, "she normally walks home, she has no reason to be afraid, but sure we can pick her up"

She nodded and they entered the bay, they put on their helmets and got onto their bikes. The bikes hovered and they flew out of the bay, and started to head for school. amber looked at him and smiled.

He glanced at her and saw her looking at him, "what's the matter?"

She looked away, "nothing, I just can't picture your being a brother"

He grinned and turned, she followed him. "hey I take that offensively, I happen to be a very good brother"

She smiled, and saw the buildings of the city. They got closer and he turned again, they stopped and landed out side of a large building, "this looks like a ware house, except with a pointed roof" .

He looked at her, "this is the school, or one of them anyway. You know the visors for these bike?, well the schools have advanced one for teaching, that is because the schools don't have a fixed energy suply, they get theirs right from electricity"

She nodded and looked at the school, they heard a bell and waited a few minutes. All of a sudden the doors opened and kids started to steam out. "they all look young, are all of the older girls caught?"

He looked at her, "no, this is just the elementary school the high school is farther north. An not that many girls have been caught, I'd say about 60 some"

She looked at him shocked. "and you say that isnt a lot?"

He glanced at her then to the kids who were coming out of the building, "no not really, look at these kids, there are probably about two hundred girls just n this school and there are about three hundred at the high schools. Compared to what they estimated it would be that is low"

She looked at him afraid to ask what the estimate was, she looked at the kids and seen a few kids heading their way

"hey riku", a girl came forward and hugged him, "why are you here?" she looked up at him

he grinned and hugged her back, "we thought we might as well pick you up, we are heading back home now, you werent planning anything were you?".

She looked at him, "we?" she glanced at amber and smiled, "oh hey, I didn't think you were with him. Sorry", she looked at riku, "well I was planning on bringing a friend over if that is alright"

He nodded. "sure its alright, as long as you stay out of trouble, dad wont be home until later".

She nodded and opened a door on the side on his bike, she took two helmets out and handed one to her friend, she looked at riku as she snapped her helmet on.

He looked at her friend and smiled. "well I should have guessed it was you, so how you been?"

The other girl smiled and looked at him, "im good, thanks for letting me come"

Amber smiled and looked at riku. "then again I could be wrong".

He grinned and hit a few buttons. A wing came out of the right side, he looked at ambers and hit a few buttons on her, a wing came out on the right side. The wings were mostly flat except they had a small back to them and they had a seatbelt, he looked at his sister who got onto his and her friend got onto ambers.

She looked at him. "this isnt going to get harder at flying this thing is it?"

His sister looked at him, he glance down at her "I'll explain later. No it wont get any harder. You all ready?"

The two girls nodded their heads, and amber got ready to take off

"I guess so then". He glanced at amber and then took off, she followed him.

"so what is your name?", amber glanced at his sister.

She glanced at amber then to riku. Not saying anything.

Riku looked at her, then to amber "it is karen. And her friend right there is mimi"

Amber nodded and looked at karen, *was it something I said? * , she looked forward and saw the house. They went through the door and entered the garage. They all got off the bikes and went into the house.

Karen looked up at amber, "sorry, I guess you don't know, those helmets me and mimi had didn't have visors, so it is hard to talk. I hope I didn't offend you or anything"

Amber smiled at her, "no you didn't"

Karen smiled and looked at mimi "come on race you to my room", they both took off.

"hey no running, I don't want you to get hurt" he shook his head

amber looked at him "room so you have a whole wing and she has a room?"

he shook his head. "no we refer to the whole wing as a room, she only has eight rooms though"

amber shook her head and looked around, "so what do you want to do?".

He laughed and looked at her. "I don't know, I guess anything you want".

She looked around as they headed down the hall. "I don't know, anything but watching those videos"

He looked at her and nodded, " yeah I understand I should have told him I still had them"

She looked at him, "why not?".

He opened the door to his wing and they entered. "because I knew he'd make me show them to you. And lets just say that what they do to the girls isnt pleasant".

She looked at him, "ok, but you remember you are the one to tell me, no one else. I don't want to see the videos but I guess I have to, they don't torture them and kill them do they?"

He looked at her, "no well not in the usual sense, they do torture them but they don't kill them. They get too much money to do that, I don't want to go into detail but they get them ready for their new masters. Who they sell them to. It is like a auction, the highest bidder gets the girl, and she has to do what ever he says."

She looked at him and shuddered. "I really don't want to see them now"

He turned and they walked into his room, "sorry to be the carrier of bad news but my dad is right you should see it. I don't plan on ever showing you the visor of it, but the videos are a lot less disturbing"

She looked at him then around his room. "its ok, but I don't want to hear this anymore if that is alright"

He looked at her and nodded, "yeah I understand, well since my dad isnt here I guess we can do what we want"

She looked at him. "he isnt that strict is he?"

He laughed. "no I was joking, I just remembered what he said before we left"

She thought for a moment and shot him a look. "riku. . ."

He looked at her. "said I was joking".

She looked at him. "yeah I know but still" she looked away , "so do you have an games here?"

He looked at her, "it is just me, I wouldn't do that, we barely know each other. Yeah we have games here, come on I guess it was pointless coming back here then"

She looked at him "and what is wrong with that?, I don't mind it"

He glanced at her as they walked back out of his wing and headed down the hall. Karen appeared out of no where, "hey where you two going?"

He looked at her then to mimi, "we are going to the basement, she wants to see the torture chamber, want to come?".

Mimi looked at karen then to riku, "um no that's alright I'll stay up here"

He smiled. "oh come on mimi, you know me better then that, we don't have a torture chamber. You been to the basement before"

She looked at him again and thought for a moment, "um oh yeah, but that wasn't the bottom level"

He grinned , "that is because the bottom level is where I keep all of my toys"

She looked at him and shrugged, "sure why not"

Amber looked at him, "toys?, what kind of toys. Arent you a little old for that".

He looked at her, "ah . . .yeah well not for these kind, I guess they come with the job".

They walked down the hall, amber looked at riku, "your joking right?"

He glanced at her. "nope but your thinking of the wrong job"

Karen looked at him, "I thought you only had one job, does dad know your working for someone else?"

He looked at her, "ah yeah he knows. But I don't want you to say anything about it to him".

He hit a button on a wall and an elevator appeared. They got onto it and it started down. "amber I want to talk to you when we get down there"

She looked at him , hoping he wasn't mad. She nodded and looked at karen and mimi, "oh ok, I know what about now. Sorry"

He looked at her. "its ok you didn't know"

She smiled, glad he wasn't mad. "ok", she looked back at karen,

Karen glanced at them. "fine then I wont tell you my secret either"

Riku grinned, but amber could tell he was worried . the elevator stopped and the door opened.
