I flinched as Wolverine's claws sliced into my defending arms again, biting back the scream I knew was coming. The others watched in wonder as my body stopped bleeding instantly after being cut, a side effect to my other form. The pain changed drastically, going from the pain of being injured to the pain signaling my transformation. I bit down harder on my lip to stop it, then knocked Wolverine back. He tried launching another attack on me, but I cupped my hands and charged the air in front of me. Wolverine was sent flying into Cyclops, who then hit Beast, and the three hit the wall. I fell to my knees, the sudden rush of power and pleasure at the pain I'd infliced in the others trying to overtake my mind... trying to destroy my sanity!

"They are going to be alright, aren't they Aiyen?" Jean asked, glaring at a laughing Remy. When I didn't answer, she glanced at me and muttered, "Oh my god!" I had my eyes closed and my pathetic psychic abilities suddenly flared into overdrive, the only proof I needed to know my body needed to repair itself and had regressed to my spirit-self in the meantime.

"Is there something you would like to tell us, Aiyen?" Professor Xavier's voice said over the loud speaker, making everyone look at me. The cuts on my arms had started to close, scaring only slightly. Finally able to open my eyes, I looked around to find everyone staring at me. "Do we need a medic down there?"

"No, one of my nurmerous abilities is my bodies ability to repair itself after I stop moving." "Like Wolverine's healing factor, only you can't move for it to activate." "Something like that, but it only works on serious injuries. And I get stuck like this, at least until my body heals." I got up, floating about an inch off the ground. I crossed my arms and legs, sitting in the air and waited for it to wear off. Remy glared daggers at me until I fell out of the air, then he and the rest of the group cracked up. I rubbed my head and laughed with them, glancing in the direction of Wolverine, Cyclops and Beast. The force of their hitting the wall had knocked them all out cold, making me wonder how much trouble I was in. "I jus' wanna know, am I in trouble?"

"If I can get away with destroying this place, I think you can get away with knocking a few people out." A blonde girl who Jean had introduced as Alison said, laughing at the look on my face. "Destroying, huh? I bet I c'n do dat, wanna see?" "Not while I'm in here I don't, maybe some other time."

"We'll need to test you eventually anyways, Aiyen. To find out what your powers can do without limits, after you've had time to rest." "Widout limits ain't good, I can destroy a lot more dan dis room if I don' limit my power sumwhere's." "That's nothing new to the X-Men, Jean and Alison know that first hand. I think you've all had enough practice for the day, go take a break for now." I helped Remy, Rogue, and Jean drag the three I'd knocked out back upstairs; earning many a "You don't have to help us" look.

I was already tired of people treating me like a weakling, especially Remy since he knew what my full potential was. Having spent the last 10 years of my life with the Brotherhood, I could understand why they didn't want to believe anything they saw. Magneto and Mystique were the same way, they refused to believe my powers were lethal until they both saw them with their own two eyes. After Cyclops, Beast, and Wolverine were upstairs, I noticed Jean giving me a sympathetic look.

         "Something wrong, Aiyen?"

"I have a question, and you may be t'only person here who can answer it."

         "Ask away, Aiyen."

"Wh- why is everyone treating me like a normal person, like a weakling?"

"I hardly call Wolverine slashing your arms open treating you like a weakling, or are you talking about all of those 'Poor kid' looks you've been getting today?" Apparently looking away was enough of an answer, because she continued talking. "I guess everyone is treating you like this until we get an accurate energy level reading on you."

"Jus' what I need, everyone goin' frum dinkin' I'm weak ta bein' scared o'me."

         "Scared?"

"I don' wanna talk about it, if das okay?"

"You enlighten me to the details whenever you feel ready, Aiyen. That's the thing about the X-Men, we won't force you to say anything you don't want to tell us." "Danks, Jean." "Any time, Aiyen."

I ran upstairs and locked myself in my room, grabbing my laptop out of the bag I had with me. Opening the electronic journal I had stored on it, I got comfortable and began to type:

' 'I almost lost it again, this time with a lot of people around. The X-Men are okay, and Remy has been a major ass to me ever since I got here. Glaring at me yesterday, dragging me outta bed this morning, and now it sounds like he's yelling at some one. Figures.' ' 'Wait a minute, that sounds like Cyclops and Jean are in this somehow.' I got up and stepped out into the hall, finding I wasn't the only person who was curious.

"Dammit, Cyke! So she goofed up once, like das abnormal wid mutans? She felt bad about hurtin' you dree, and even helped drag you back upstairs. Dinn't she, Jean?" Remy's voice carried upstairs, then it was quiet. Rogue was standing next to me, a glare on her face when Cyclops started blaming Remy for what was going on with my powers.

"Maybe if she had a better, more carring family, this wouldn't happen!" I crept downstairs, standing in the next room close enough to the door to hear Jean's input to the argument.

"Be reasonable, Scott. If her problem is anything like mine, it's not her families fault that she loses control. She's got to be a powerful youngster if she's possessed by another spirit, and she's survived this long. I spoke with her earlier, she thinks everyone's going to be afraid of the power she possesses." I looked around the corner quickly, seeing Remy and Cyclops ready to tear each other limb from limb. The only thing stopping them was Jean, she was standing between them with her arms crossed. "Now, are you boys going to play nice or do I have to babysit you all day?"

"I still think it's Gambit's fault she has no self control, he's been here while she was left with the Brotherho-" My psychic abilities flared again, throwing Cyclops into a wall. I stepped into view, narrowing my red-on-black eyes at him. "What the he- ?" He flew into another wall, but this time I don't think it was my fault. Cyclops got up and looked confused, then I realized it was Jean who had sent him flying the second time. He tried to find out why, but Jean slapped him and Remy and went upstairs. A door slammed in the distance, followed by a crowd coming downstairs.

"She's scary when she's angry, I'm gettin' a beer." Logan headed for the kitchen, followed by a few other people. I opted for going back upstairs, needing a chance to sort out what had happened to make my powers flare up like that.

I dug around for my pocketknife, not even flinching as the sharp blade ripped through my skin. I held my arm over my pants, not wanting to leave any stains on anything some one else would see.
