Fan Fiction ❯ The Four Lords ❯ The Origion of Razriel ( Chapter 67 )

“There’s no way!” Brittany yelled looking at Alex. “Alex is a demon, how in the Hell do you come off saying he’s a wraith. He’s nothing like them!”
“Oh but he is.” Scion said never losing his smirk. “You see my dear brother Alcadan was once married and actually had a child of his own. Even then he was a great mage and he and I worked together combining our knowledge of the arcane arts. One night when me and him were out we came back to his home to find his wife and son slaughtered at the hands of a demon. His wife had been eaten and picked clean to the bone. The demon was about to start on his son but we killed him before he could. Still it was too late. This was back long ago when the demons hunted the humans for food. Before humans knew how to use magic. Alcadan begged me to teach him necromancy. He begged me to help him bring back his family. Of course back then my knowledge in necromancy was limited, but I helped him how I could. With our magic we hunted down and killed a hundred demons. We brought their bodies back to his home and combined their blood with his son. It was the ultimate fusion of the light magic and dark magic. Healing and necromancy. The resulting creature born from the unholy fusion was neither demon, human, or wraith. The creature we created that day, what used to be Alcadan’s son, that was you Razriel. Why else do you think Alcadan was so nice to you. It was because he created you. In every sense of the word Alcadan was your father. You are nothing more than a soulless wraith.”
Alex froze at Scion’s words. He felt a numbing sensation course through his body as the full effect of Scions words hit him. Brittany covered her mouth with her hand to muffle the gasp that escaped her lips. “No, it can’t be true. Alex can’t be a wraith.”
“Why don’t you ask him?” Scion said gloatingly confirming Brittany’s fears.
Alex turned to look at her. Even with his solid white eyes it was easy to see the pain behind them. “It can’t help but be true. I’m a fucking monster and now I know why. This is why you wanted to train under Alcadan. You could learn all his spells and then create and army of monsters just like me.”
“Heh, how quickly you catch on.” Scion said, his voice full of sarcasm.
Brittany could see the doubt and hesitation in Alex’s eyes as he looked at her. She pulled his face to hers and she kissed him gently on the lips. “This changes nothing. It doesn’t change who you are, and it doesn’t change my love for you. You are Alex, it doesn’t matter what you are. It only matters who you are. Alex, Razriel, demon, or wraith, none of that matters. The only thing that matters is that you are my mate and I love you, and I always will.”
“I love you too.” Alex whispered as he turned to face Scion. And I always will. Stay back for this okay. Last time we fought we almost destroyed half the realm. This time will be no exception. I won’t be able to create a barrier for you because I’ll need all my power for this. Be safe Brittany.
You too Alex. I’ll be right here when you get through, so don’t you dare get yourself killed. Brittany thought as she felt tears well up in her eyes.
I’ll be fine. History won’t repeat itself. Like I said before, I’ve got a reason to fight now. I’m not going to die anytime soon now that I have you to come back to. I’ll be fine. Alex thought smiling reassuringly even though Brittany couldn’t see it. Alex stared at Scion with eyes that were filled with blood lust and hate.
“It’s time to settle this once and for all Scion.” Alex declared getting ready to fight.
“I couldn’t agree more Razriel. History will only repeat itself once again, and once again it will be in my favor.” Scion sneered.
“Scion, just shut the Hell up and fight! I’ve got more important things to do than sit hear and listen to your fucking bullshit!”
“Fine then, you’re just speeding up your own death Razriel. It really doesn’t matter to me either way. The sooner you die, the sooner I get my hands on your precious little mate. I figure if Zanatos could have his way with her then why shouldn’t I?”
“YOU FUCKING BASTARD!” Alex yelled. His demonic power rose tremendously as his anger increased. Brittany backed away in awe of the surge of power yet still she felt something was wrong.
Scion’s too calm about this Alex. If he knows your demonic energy increases when you get mad, why’s he trying to provoke you? Brittany thought.
I don’t know, but there’s only one way to find out. Alex replied. Alex suddenly disappeared from sight only to appear behind Scion. Alex’s hands were full of dirt from the barrier Scion had subconsciously created to protect him from Alex’s attack.
“I see you no longer have to cast spells verbally.” Alex spat.
“That’s just one of many new things I’ve learned. Let me show you a few more.” Scion challenged.
“Alex, please be careful.” Brittany whispered as dark clouds began to form over them. For the moment the rain had stopped, but that just made the sounds of the war being fought all around them even clearer. A cold wind whipped around her blowing on Alex’s coat. Brittany pulled it tighter around her as she watched the battle. A sudden thought came to her head as she saw lightning fall from the sky all around Alex. Alex zigged and zagged to dodge the deadly lightning bolts, barely staying ahead of each blast. This truly is the beginning of the end. This is where the real fight starts. It started with Razriel and Scion, and now it will end with them too. Please, be safe Alex. Come back to me, just as you always have.

Kiba felt the rush of claws pass by his head as a wraith tried to decapitate him. Kiba jumped to the side as arrows rained down from the sky. The elves had begun their assault from the sky. To Kiba’s right he could see Shadow and Aurora fighting side by side. Kiba looked up to see a wraith coming straight at him. Kiba flipped over the wraith, at the same time kicking it in the back sending it flying towards the waiting jaws of the cerberus. When Kiba’s feet hit the ground he quickly twisted his body to avoid another wraith. He used his momentum to decapitate the wraith. Kiba slashed and hacked at all the wraiths around him, but for every wraith he killed five more took its place. Kiba tried to look around for Shadow and Aurora who only moments earlier had been right beside him. Now he couldn’t see them for the sea of wraiths covering the field. Kiba could barely make out the forms of the cerberus or centaurs who rose above the wraiths. The elves were still flying above them but Kiba watched in horror as one of the wraiths launched itself at one of the elves. The pegasus tried to pull up to avoid the wraith, but it couldn’t dodge the wraith’s deadly claws that raked across his flesh. The wraith pulled both pegasus and rider into the mass of blood thirsty wraiths. The inhuman scream that was emitted from the fallen sent a shiver down Kiba’s spine as he fought.
They’re trying to separate us one by one. I need to get back to Aurora and Shadow. I need to make sure they’re okay. Kiba thought as he spun around with a powerful kick that snapped the neck of the wraith in front of him. Kiba saw a bright flash of light course through the thick unmoving mass of wraiths, followed by a loud explosion. There was a small break in the wraith’s form allowing Kiba to see who was casting the spells. Simera was on the other side and just like Kiba she too was surrounded by wraiths. Her left arm was bleeding badly and it was obvious that she wouldn’t be able to last much longer.
Shit, what the Hell is she doing fighting?
Without any thought of what he was doing, Kiba launched himself at the small breach in the wraiths. Kiba twisted his body to fit through the small gap, at the same time decapitating the wraiths he passed between. Kiba felt their claws dig into his flesh, but he didn’t care. He landed in a roll and popped up just in time to take out a wraith behind Simera.
“What the Hell are you doing? You’re a healer not a fighter!” Kiba yelled as he slashed at another wraith.
“A lot of good I’d be doing on the sidelines. None of you’d survive to make it to me.” Simera said in gasps as she tried to defend herself against the onslaught of wraiths. Kiba spun around and threw a wraith away from him. It was then that he spotted one of the griffins who was sky bombing the wraiths by grabbing at them with their powerful talons and throwing them into the air. Kiba made eye contact with the griffin who saw its comrades predicament. The griffin turned in the air and swooped down low towards them.
“Forgive me priestess.” Kiba said as he grabbed Simera by the waist and jumped into the air. Simera didn’t have time to question his actions before she felt them being lifted into the air. She looked up at Kiba who was holding firmly onto the griffin’s leg. Kiba helped Simera up to where the griffin could hold onto her. From his vantage point Kiba could survey the entire battle field. He paled as he saw the innumerable amount of wraiths which seemed to encompass the entire army of the demon realm. Kiba felt his mouth go dry as he heard the screams of warriors being slaughtered by the wraiths. Kiba then saw a familiar sight raining down arrows upon the enemy.
“Rire!” Kiba yelled. He winced in pain at the wounds he had received from rescuing Simera, but he paid little attention to them as he gazed in Rire’s direction.
Rire turned on his pegasus and flew close towards them, but still he never quit launching arrows at the wraiths. “This is worst than last time Kiba. This truly is Hell.”
“I know, but we have to keep fighting. I’m not about to have lost everything that I have just to let these soulless fuckers win.” Kiba stated firmly. “Rire, I need to get to Aurora and Shadow. Do you have any idea where they are?”
Rire hesitated before nodding. “Get on, I’ll take you to them.”
Kiba nodded and turned to Simera. “This is where we part ways. Take care priestess.”
“Kiba, let me heal your wounds before you go.” Simera said noticing the blood that was dripping off of him.
“They are only flesh wounds. I’ve suffered worse.” Kiba stated as he turned to jump off of the griffon.
“But Kiba you could die from these!”
“My friends are out there priestess. I can’t sit by and let them fight knowing that I could’ve helped them. When this is over you can heal me. Until then, you owe me one.” Simera saw she wasn’t about to stop him so she finally conceded.
“Be careful, Lord of the wolf demons.”
Kiba jumped onto the pegasus’s back and watched as he was led to the most densely populated section of the wraith’s forces. Kiba couldn’t see either Aurora or Shadow in the mass of wraiths that were below him. It wasn’t until he saw a wraith that was sent flying by a powerful punch that he realized they were in the mass of wraiths. Kiba then saw Aurora, Shadow, Yaza, and Scriar fighting back to back.
“This is where I get off. Thanks for the ride.”
“Take care of yourself Kiva. If we survive this day we have much to make up for.”
“Aye, I look forward to that.” Kiba said before jumping off of the pegasus and into the fray.
Author's Note: Alrighty then, the final battle is taking place. Tomorrow you will find out the rest of this story. I can promise you one thing though, you will hate me.
