Scion turned around quickly and launched the wire at another Alex. This time, just like the first the Alex faded away into nothing on impact. What in the Hell is going on? How can I keep missing him?
"These foolish illusions won't save your Razriel. Now watch as I end your foolish charade." Scion yelled. Scion launched another fiery wire from his other hand and in one fluid motion twisted around attacking all the Alex's at one time. To Scion's and Brittany's amazement Alex was nowhere to be found amongst those that Scion had hit. Scion growled in rage until he looked at the ground beneath him. His eyes brightened with realization. "Bad move Razriel."
Scion raised his right hand in a fist, and suddenly the ground beneath him came alive and an enormous fist made of sand burst out from it. Clutched tightly in the fists grip was the squirming form of Alex. The tentacles that had intertwined with his arms started to recede back into his skin due to their failure to complete the bonding.
"I'll give you this Razriel, that was very clever of you. Using the explosion to cover your escape into the ground and using your illusions to distract me from where you really went. Very nice, but not nice enough. Now, you're dead." Scion promised. He raised his left hand and swords once again materialized around Alex.
Alex didn?t even look up as Scion readied himself for Alex's demise. Instead Alex smiled softly knowing what he had to do. Brittany, I think I could use your help now. Blow this asshole to kingdom come. Give me five minutes, that's all I need to fully activate my Devil's Armor.
Right as Scion was closing his fist to end Alex's life an enormous blast of light caught the unprepared Scion from the side sending him flying. The swords, along with the enormous hand dispersed as Scion's concentration was lost. Alex landed roughly on the ground, but he immediately shot up and darted across the field away from Scion.
Thank you Brittany. Don't get in too close to him okay. If things start getting too rough use your teleportation spell and get out of here. He shouldn't attack you full force because he won't see you as a threat, use that to your advantage.
I'll be fine Alex. Better off than you were. Regardless of how things turn out I'm not about to leave you. Together for better or worse remember?

Scion staggered to his feet and glared angrily at Brittany. "You're becoming a really annoying bitch! Does everyone here know how to use those fucking celestial spells?"
"I'd rather be an annoying bitch than an egotistical asshole. As a matter of fact yes. It was Alex who taught me, and it was Alcadan who taught him. Now let's see who's better at magic. The great Scion, Lord of Darkness, or this human girl whose managed to ruin everything you've strived to do." Brittany said already preparing to cast another spell.
"Fuck you!" Scion yelled. He immediately launched several fireballs from his hands which Brittany easily deflected with her own barrier. Brittany then cast the spell which she had first attacked Scion with.
"Tengoku-teki zen'ryoku!" Brittany yelled as a bright beam of energy emitted from her hands and went straight towards Scion. Scion however, was ready for the attack this time and waved his hand creating a black portal in front of him. The moment the beam entered the portal it disappeared. Only to reappear heading straight for Brittany. Brittany jumped to the side to avoid the attack, in the process she launched her own fire blasts as Scion. "Tengoku shinsei hono'o."
Scion's fireballs collided with Brittany's flames cancelling each other out. Scion launched himself at Brittany, and moments before he reached her Brittany cast another spell hoping to catch him off guard. "Okugi jimen tate!"
The ground around Brittany's feet formed into several jagged spears, all of which were pointed at the lunging form of Scion. Brittany launched all the earthen spears at Scion, hoping that she might slow him down. Instead Scion twisted in mid air and launched his fiery whip from his fingertips. His whip decimated the spears allowing him easy passage to Brittany. In Scion's left hand he formed a fireball and threw it at Brittany at nearly point blank range. Brittany barely had time to react as she created a barrier to shield herself. "Gaia Shogai!"
The earth formed around Brittany right as the fireball neared her. The fireball collided with the earthen barrier, shattering it with ease. Brittany flew back from the explosion only to have Scion grab her by the wrist and pull her towards him. Scion looked at Brittany hungrily as he spoke.
"For a human, I've never seen such magical potential. You will make a fine queen for me." Scion said lustfully.
"What the Hell is it with you fucking perverts and wanting to have sex with me?" Brittany yelled. Brittany broke free of his grip in a burst of strength. Scion was surprised by her strength which allowed Brittany to cast another spell quickly. "Tengoku-teki zen'ryoku!"
The bright energy blast hit Scion full force and at point blank range. Brittany collapsed to the ground relieved that she had been able to cast that final spell. It was only when the smoke began to clear and she saw Scion's red and black eyes glaring at her that she realized he was still alive.
Scion stepped out of the smoke as if nothing had happened. He grabbed Brittany by the throat and lifted her up into the air. "That wasn't very nice."
Scion forcibly threw Brittany against a large rock. Before Brittany could move Scion waved his hand and suddenly Brittany was encased in a large crystal. She couldn't move from within the confides of the crystal, but she could hear every word that Scion said.
"I was going to take you as my queen, but now I'm perfectly content in taking your life!" Scion yelled. Brittany saw a single sword materialize in front of his right hand as he moved in front of her. Brittany didn't give Scion the satisfaction of showing fear. Instead she faced him bravely. "What gives you such confidence when facing death?"
"The fact that I know Alex will come and save me." Brittany stated calmly.
"Such fate is truly undeserving of that monster. Still, he won't come to your rescue this time I'm afraid. The only thing that's coming to you is your own death!" Scion lunged at Brittany, who stared at him with calm determination. It was as if everything was moving in slow motion. Brittany closed her eyes slowly and softly whispered.
"Alex...."
Brittany heard Scion cuss and she opened her eyes to see Scion's sword pierced through a large red, clawed hand. The sword pierced through the hand until the hilt of the sword hit it. Brittany looked at the person who had saved her and smiled.
"Alex!"
Alex's was kneeling before her, with his back towards her. His arms and legs were covered by the red tentacles. They both appeared much more spiky and deadly. The tentacles also covered up part of his neck and back, at the same time covering up all of his long white hair and reached to the front of his face. Alex closed his right hand slowly, shattering the sword with ease. Scion's eyes grew wide with fear as he started to back up.
"Her undeserving faith in me is truly inspiring. Even though I am undeserving of it and I have failed her so many times she still puts her faith in me. The only person who's going to have their life taken away today Scion, is you!" Alex yelled as he stood up glaring at the Lord of Darkness. Alex didn't even turn around as he rammed his elbow into the crystal that encased Brittany. The crystal shattered beneath Alex's blow freeing Brittany.
Thank you Brittany. Are you okay?
Yes, now that you're here. Now go kick his ass for me.

Alex watched as Scion created a portal beneath him and slowly disappeared within it. When he reappeared he was in the very middle of the field glaring back at Alex. Scion created another barrier around him and called out.
"This changes nothing!"
"No...this changes everything!" Alex replied as he disappeared. Alex reappeared only a short distance away from Scion. Alex launched himself at Scion. His powerful limbs moving him with ease across the terrain. Scion's eyes revealed his surprise, but they soon became full of fire as he charged up another large fireball.
"Even if you are faster, there's no way you'll be able to dodge this!" Scion yelled as Alex neared him. Alex knew that what he was saying was true but he didn't care. Scion's words only encouraged him to move faster. Scion waited til there was no possible way for Alex to dodge before launching the enormous fireball. Scion's eyes widened with anticipation as the fireball rocketed towards Alex.
Alex only smiled as the fireball neared him. He launched himself at the fireball, at the same time twisting his body and reaching out towards the fireball with his left hand.
"Fool, do you really think your armor will protect you from that?"
"No, but she will." Alex called out. Scion then realized that Brittany had been casting a spell the entire time. A shimmering light formed around Alex's left hand just as he reached out towards the fireball. Alex caught the fireball in the palm of his left hand and sent it back towards Scion. The fireball collided with Scion's barrier sending off a bright light momentarily blinding him. When he could finally see again Alex was already upon him. Scion focused all his energy into one small barrier which Alex's right hand collided with. For a moment it seemed as if Scion's barrier would hold as Alex was suspended in the air, all his force being put into attacking the barrier.
"You'll never be strong enough to defeat me." Scion boasted. Suddenly a slight crack was formed in the barrier as the astonished Scion looked on in horror. Alex grinned as the barrier shattered and his claws tore through Scion's flesh. Scion fell to the ground in a bloody heap and Alex walked over and lifted him up.
"You're not going to die yet Scion. You still have to pay for your crimes." Alex told him.
Scion grinned evilly as blood poured from his mouth. "D-did, you really think, I'd allow you such a happy ending? There's someone here who doesn't belong here."
Before Alex could question Scion's words a flash of light flew from his hands and he passed out. Alex was about to shake him when he heard Brittany scream. Alex turned around to see Brittany glowing softly.
"Alex, what's happening to me?" Brittany asked in a scared voice.
Alex dropped Scion's body as he turned to face her. Alex's face paled as he shook his head in shock. "He's sending you back to the human realm."
Alex reverted back to his human form as he held onto Brittany tightly in a loving embrace. Tears raced down Brittany's face as she shook her head. "I don't want to go back, I don't want to leave you!"
"I know, I don't want you to go either." Alex said. His words were strained and his heart was filled with pain at the fact that he had to let her go. "Don't worry, I'll come back for you. I'll come get you Brittany. I won't leave you there, I'll come to get you."
The glowing intensified and soon Brittany was completely covered in light. "I love you Alex." Brittany said softly as she continued to cry. "And I always will."
"I love you too Brittany, and this isn't a goodbye forever. I'll come back for you. Brittany, never take off that necklace, that is what will keep us connected okay." Alex said trying hard not to let his emotions take the better of him. He had to think rationally. He knew that after the battle was through he'd be able to send for her. He also knew it would be safer for her there, at least until the war was over. But a part of him also wondered wether or not she would want to return to this world.
In the human realm she would be safe. She wouldn't have to worry about constant demon attacks, and all her family is there. It's not fair for me to want her to stay here when she would have everything she'd ever need in the human realm.
"Silly boy." Brittany said wiping her tears. "Did you forget that I can hear your thoughts. While it's true I would be safer, there's something here in the demon realm that I could never find in the human realm. I'd never find love like I've found in you Alex. I want you to come get me, nothing's going to change that."
Alex nodded slowly as he leaned forward and kissed Brittany passionately on the lips. The kiss took her breath away and Alex whispered. "Something for you to remember me by."
"I love you Alex, and I always will. Even in the human realm I'll still be your mate, I'll still be in love with you."
"I love you too Brittany, and no matter where you are I will always love you. My heart belongs to you and you alone." Alex regretted having to release Brittany, but he knew that any second she would be teleported back to the human realm. He was grateful that the spell took a while to take effect, but still he cursed Scion for casting it. Alex gave Brittany one last kiss before backing away.
Brittany looked at him sadly, afraid that if he let her go she would never see him again. She knew that he felt the exact same way. Her voice was full of emotion as she spoke. "I want you to promise me something Alex. I want you to promise me that you'll come back for me. I want you to come back for me just as you always have. To come when I need you. Please, promise me you'll come back for me."
With those word's Alex's composure broke. Tears fell from his eyes as he nodded. "I promise Brittany. No matter what, I will come back to you. I will come back, just as I always have."
Brittany nodded and smiled. Suddenly her eyes grew big and her face paled as she yelled. "Alex watch out!"
Alex didn't have time to turn or defend himself. He had been so focused on Brittany that he hadn't felt the enormous source of energy coming up behind him. Alex's body was already covered in all the wounds Scion had inflicted upon him, most of which had yet to heal. It was then that a large fist ripped through Alex's chest causing Alex to scream in pain.
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep. And you should never turn your back to an enemy. Especially an enemy who uses your weakness against you." Scion hissed from behind Alex. Brittany saw three orbs glowing in Scion's chest as his body began to morph even as he spoke.
The crystal's. Alex, he has the three crystals! Brittany thought in horror.
"Now I have the power I have long sought. While you were distracted by your mate's predicament, I pillaged the crystals out of the other Lord's. Your fate has now been sealed." Scion said as he lifted Alex off of the ground.
"Alex!" Brittany screamed as she felt a tingling sensation course through her body.
I will always love you Brittany. Alex thought as he closed his eyes.
"Alex!" Brittany yelled again as she disappeared in a flash of light.
Author's Note: This is the final chapter. If you'd like me to post the epilouge let me know. I really hope you've enjoyed my story. I really can't believe that I've finally finished it. After all this time, it still doesn't feel right. Oh well, let me know what you think about the ending. The main reason I guess I don't feel like I've truly finished it is because I don't really tell what happened, I never really explain all that's going on and thus never end the story. That does however leave room for a second story, so if you think I should, or if you'd like me to I will definetely start working on another. Though I will say this, I'll probably take a break from writing for awhile. I love to write, but with school and competition's coming up it's going to be too hard to manage another story. Also I think my creativity's pretty much gone down the drain after I finished this story, so I'll take a break regardless and let my mind rest. Also, if I put in the epilouge there's two more thing's I'm going to post after that. One of which will be a tribute and recognition to all those who've helped me with this story. I believe they should get their due credit as well. The other, if you want me to write another story that is, will be a teaser for the second story. I already have some idea's laid out for it so I should be able to give you a little preview. Take care everyone, and thank you all for reading my story and giving me your input. With those word's Alex's composure broke. Tears fell from his eyes as he nodded. "I promise Brittany. No matter what, I will come back to you. I will come back, just as I always have."
Brittany nodded and smiled. Suddenly her eyes grew big and her face paled as she yelled. "Alex watch out!"
Alex didn't have time to turn or defend himself. He had been so focused on Brittany that he hadn't felt the enormous source of energy coming up behind him. Alex's body was already covered in all the wounds Scion had inflicted upon him, most of which had yet to heal. It was then that a large fist ripped through Alex's chest causing Alex to scream in pain.
"You shouldn't make promises you can't keep. And you should never turn your back to an enemy. Especially an enemy who uses your weakness against you." Scion hissed from behind Alex. Brittany saw three orbs glowing in Scion's chest as his body began to morph even as he spoke.
The crystal's. Alex, he has the three crystals! Brittany thought in horror.
"Now I have the power I have long sought. While you were distracted by your mate's predicament, I pillaged the crystals out of the other Lord's. Your fate has now been sealed." Scion said as he lifted Alex off of the ground.
"Alex!" Brittany screamed as she felt a tingling sensation course through her body.
I will always love you Brittany. Alex thought as he closed his eyes.
"Alex!" Brittany yelled again as she disappeared in a flash of light.
Author's Note: This is the final chapter. If you'd like me to post the epilouge let me know. I really hope you've enjoyed my story. I really can't believe that I've finally finished it. After all this time, it still doesn't feel right. Oh well, let me know what you think about the ending. The main reason I guess I don't feel like I've truly finished it is because I don't really tell what happened, I never really explain all that's going on and thus never end the story. That does however leave room for a second story, so if you think I should, or if you'd like me to I will definetely start working on another. Though I will say this, I'll probably take a break from writing for awhile. I love to write, but with school and competition's coming up it's going to be too hard to manage another story. Also I think my creativity's pretty much gone down the drain after I finished this story, so I'll take a break regardless and let my mind rest. Also, if I put in the epilouge there's two more thing's I'm going to post after that. One of which will be a tribute and recognition to all those who've helped me with this story. I believe they should get their due credit as well. The other, if you want me to write another story that is, will be a teaser for the second story. I already have some idea's laid out for it so I should be able to give you a little preview. Take care everyone, and thank you all for reading my story and giving me your input.
