Chapter 11: More Grief than Before
I was in my room, thinking about tomorrow as a little girl. I was also making a flower necklace,” C’mon, Jira. It's time to leave." I looked at the person who held my hand. I don't remember what I asked but my response was," I'm sorry. They are gone because of you. You have failed them... HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN TO THEM?!!!"
Truth be told: I'm really not the daughter of Lute and Artur. They adopted me. They barely told me when I was a becoming a tactician. But I didn't want to believe it. I just wanted to be okay............ I'm not sure if that's going to happen anytime soon.
I was sitting down, talking to Arielle, oh so happily until I suddenly felt weird," Are you okay, Jira?" asked Arielle. I was kneeling on the floor.
" I'm just fine," I said as I tried to stand up until I saw everything go blank.
" Jira!" I heard someone say.
" Jira, wake up!" I heard someone else.
" Can you hear us?!" I heard another person say.
I opened my eyes to see everyone surrounding me, Max was leaning in," What happened?" I asked.
" You just suddenly fainted while we were talking," said Arielle, in a scared voice.
" In fact," started James," You almost fell in the fire we built up."
" ...............You're kidding me, right?" I asked.
" No," said Parz," Everybody saw you when you fell."
" To make sure this doesn't happen," said Claire," You need to stay in bed for one full day."
" What?!" I said," We shouldn't let these thing get in our way," I said. I tried to get up but I fell halfway.
" We'll find a way to take you along this mission," said Ken.
" Alright," I said merrily.
Everyone started to go outside except for Max," You had me worried there," said Max.
" I'm sorry," I said," I didn't meant to suddenly faint," I said.
" I know you didn't," said Max as he held my hand. He gave me a kiss on the cheek as he started to leave," I just want you to get better soon."
" Don't worry," I said," I won't let you down!"
" Good night," said Max as he left the room as I fell asleep.
Before I do, I want to make sure I don't want to fail this group, Prince Ken, and Max......... Just like I did to my real parents.
