ML: Well, here's chapter eight for all you patient fans!

 

Yzak: So, what happened, oh great procrastinating author?

 

ML: The usual, school, staying @ someone else's house with no computer… anyway, while Kira goes off to get info from Enrique about the Livornos that could help their case, Athrun guards the fort and Lacus. However, the Livornos ambush them, and set fire to Lacus' place! I do NOT own Gundam Seed, but I do own Enrique, the Livornos and all other original characters! Plus, I also don't own Il Divo's “Every Time I look at You”. LET'S GO!

 

 

Chapter Eight: Rapture and Ecstasy (Every Time I Look at You)

 

As Kira held the sobbing girl, two words immediately popped into his head. `Those bastards…' He looked down into Lacus' eyes and said, “I know the Livornos are trying to kill you, but we're gonna do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen.”

 

“As God above is our witness, we ARE going to protect you.” Athrun said. “But first, we need to find you a temporary residence, Lacus.”

 

“He's right. I know this hotel.” Kira said, as he began to call a number, but Lacus stopped him.

 

“How about I shack up with you guys instead?” She asked. Kira was too speechless to give his answer, but Athrun just blurted it out for him.

 

“Sure.” He answered. Kira gave Athrun a look that said, “Are you crazy?” but Athrun just winked at Kira and said, “Well, who knows? Maybe you'll get hands-on again.”

 

“Athrun…” Kira began, but Athrun just shrugged it off, and escorted Lacus to a car, where the three rode to the apartment that Kira and Athrun shared. Athrun looked to the left, his hand at his holster, while Kira looked pensive. Lacus however, was deep in thought, as she drifted back to the day she had begun her affair with Wayne.

 

(FLASHBACK)

 

“Look Wayne, I have a boyfriend.” Lacus said.

 

“So, I hear he's always off on a case.” Wayne replied.

 

“Wayne… Come on… if the media found out…” Lacus began.

 

“Look, do you want to tell your manager to have you blacklisted? Or me to tell the label?” Wayne screamed. Lacus then relented.

 

(END FLASHBACK)

 

Ever since then, Lacus felt guilty. That affair went on for a few months before it was found out by Kira. But as she continued thinking, the car stopped. They were there. Athrun then looked at his watch, and said, “Looks like my shift is over.”

 

“Yeah, but don't forget, pal, I heard you have a date with Cagalli tonight!” Kira said, and Athrun went to get prepped. As soon as he ran out the door, Lacus looked all around the apartment. Everything was still the same; the same two bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. She went into Kira's room, and smiled. It didn't take long to find it. She turned on the CD player that was on the nightstand to the right of the bed, and heard the beginning of a very familiar song; it was playing during their first dance, and the first time they made love. She pressed the pause button on the CD player, and pushed the reverse button, so that the display read 0:00.

 

“Lacus? Are you in my room?” Kira asked.

 

“Can you give me a few minutes, Kira?” Lacus queried back, as she stripped and dimmed the lights.

 

“Sure.” Kira answered. “I need a shower anyway.” He entered the bathroom, and took his shower, while Lacus laid on her side, waiting for her lover. He came into the dimly lit bedroom, and saw Lacus in her favourite lingerie—sheer black bra and panties. “Kami-sama… you look beautiful, koishi.”

 

“I don't just look beautiful, Kira. Say what you said when you first saw me in this.” Lacus requested.

 

Kira looked lost, but remembered instantly. “You look erotic.”

 

“That's better.” Lacus said, as Kira got nearer. She took him into his arms and kissed him. “Take me back to my first time, Kira.” Lacus said. Kira just nodded, and kissed her soft and slow. Lacus broke the kiss, and walked to the CD player, and pushed the play button. “Remember this song?”

“How can I forget? That song was involved in so many firsts…” Kira said as Lacus walked back to him and kissed him. “First kiss, first dance…”

 

“Yes… and first time.” Lacus replied, as Kira took off her bra, she took off the towel he was wearing. He then kissed her neck. He then took one nipple into his mouth, and she moaned out. “Mmmm… that's it… slow…”

Kira then switched to the other nipple and gave it the same treatment. Then he slowly took off the panties and threw them aside. He rolled off Lacus, threw the condom away, turned off the CD, and let Lacus fall asleep. As she slept, Kira whispered the last words of the song in her ear.

Meanwhile, Athrun was busy dropping off Cagalli, and after he saw that she made it home safe, he immediately walked back to the car. He only got a few steps away when two men came and knocked him unconscious.

 

“All right, we got him.” Said the first man, as his assistant offered a bag. “Put him in.” Both men put Athrun into a bag, and threw him into the trunk of another car.
