Wufei pulled out the sofa bed as Malcom placed his bags of clothes down out of

the way. “If I just want to thank you again for letting me stay here.” Malcom replied, coming over to lend a hand.

Wufei chuckled before turning and giving Malcom a little shake. “For the 100th and last time, I want you to be here. I could use a friend right now so your really helping me.”

“All right I get it.” Malcom knocked his hands off, “Why don't I buy dinner tonight.” He backed up to the phone with a grin. “How do you feel about Chinese?” He ducked the pillow thrown at him.

Heero watched expressionless as Duo paced across the living room. “Come on Heero you must have some idea why Trowa and Quatre acted the way they did?” Duo worried the end of his braid as he tried to figure out the problem before him. “I have never seen them so pissed not to mention I would never had thought in a million years they would have treated Wufei in such a manner.”

“I do not believe it was Wufei those comments were directed at.” Heero jerked his eyes back up to Duo's face in time to meet his puzzled expression as he spun around.

“Wha-da-ya mean?”

“Well,” Heero said standing up, “its possible that the behavior between Wufei and Stone is the cause.”

“Its not like Wufei can't look after himself Hee-chan. Why would they be so concerned?” Heero quirked an eyebrow. With a small smile on his face, he headed off to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Duo followed behind him stunned.

Heero pulled out the chicken and vegetables as Duo set the table. Soon their easy meal was done and Heero divided it up between the two, although when Duo's back was turned Heero placed more on Duo's plate. Grabbing two beers Duo sat down and dug in.

“So ya wanna explain that last little comment?” He forked a piece of chicken, “Dinner's good by the way.”

Heero blushed slightly, “It's nothing special.”

Duo grinned and patted Heero's shoulder. “Don't knock yourself my man, if ya ever get bored saving the world, you should open a restaurant.” Heero leaned into Duo's hand and frowned as it was taken away. He glared down at his meal as Duo went back to his. “So about Trowa and Quatre?”

“I think Trowa and Quatre were jealous of the attention Stone gave Wufei?”

“Gees,” Duo grinned and finished off his beer. He grabbed his plate and headed for the dishwasher. “You'd think they'd be happy with each other, their just being greedy.”

Heero chocked on his beer, glaring at Duo's laughing figure. “Sorry Heero but think of all the possibilities they have with just their pilot numbers.” Duo cracked up again at Heero's red face. He gave mercy and kept his mouth shut as he cleared the table. He bent over to load the dishwasher oblivious to Heero's eyes raking his form. The phone rang jerking Heero out of his zone.

“Hello?” Duo snatched the phone out of Heero's grasp with a grin. Heero glared before taking his seat again.

“Hi Hilde, when did you get to town?” Heero froze. “Dammit what is that girl doing here?” He glared at Duo's back, fists clenched tight in anger.

“Oh your flight gets in tomorrow? What time?”

Heero stormed to the recycling bin and all but threw his beer bottle in.

“Of course I can pick you up.” Duo turned his back on Heero and shoved a finger in his ear. “Do you want to stay here?” Heero spun around in rage, no fucking way.

“Oh you already have a place to stay.” Heero nodded his head, smart girl.

“Well anyway I'll pick you up tomorrow and we can do lunch.”

Heero gaped, but he and Duo always ate lunch together. Swallowing his hurt, he stormed off to his room.

“Hey Heero, ya wanna join us for lunch tomorrow?” Duo hollered, noticing he was no longer in the kitchen with him.

“No!”

Duo blinked at the shout, okay. “Sorry honey, he's going to be busy.” He jumped when the bathroom door slammed shut and the shower sprang on. He frowned, what the hell got into Heero? He turned back to the conversation.

“So when am I going to meet this new guy of yours?”

Heero flung his clothes around the room, trying to get a hold on his jealousy. “Its not fair,” he thought stepping under the spray. “I'm right here, why can't he see me?” His shoulders slumped and he glared mournfully through the water.

Duo hung up the phone. Lord that girl went on and on. Chuckling he headed off for his room, what he wouldn't give to be in a relationship like she had. Just her describing her boyfriend was enough to make him hard. Light brown hair and crystal blue eyes, oh pretty. Duo snorted, stripping and grabbing his towel, why couldn't he meet a guy that looked like that. Duo groaned as he got harder, with a shrug he wrapped his towel around his waist and headed for the shower. Heero stuck his head out of his room to ask Duo a question but the words froze in his throat. Duo was hard. Heero tried to ignore the pain that shot through him and collapsed on his bed. Dammit why couldn't he have that effect on Duo? Why did it have to be some girl? He snatched his pillow and snuggled up to it. As he drifted off to sleep, he promised himself to make a move soon. He didn't want to lose Duo.

The next morning Wufei awoke to the delightful smell of coffee drifting down the hall. Smiling he wondered into the kitchen and was greeted with a steaming cup of coffee. “Good morning Wufei, breakfast should be ready in a few minutes.” Malcom went back to the stove, stirring the eggs in the pan. “Did you sleep well?”

Wufei accepted the coffee with a grateful smile. Taking a sip his eyes closed in pleasure. He opened his eyes in time to catch the smirk on Malcom's face.

“I slept great thank you.” He took another sip. “This is delicious, I'm guessing its not the coffee you found in the kitchen.”

“Nope,” Malcom laughed, turning the stove off and carried the eggs to the table. “That's my own personal stash. Good huh?”

Breakfast passed with light conversation and Wufei's delightful murmurs as he cleared his plate. Afterwards Wufei did the dishes as Malcom went and grabbed a shower. Heading back to his room, Wufei turned back around to grab the phone that rang.

“Chang.”

“Mr. Chang good morning, would you happen to know where Agent Stone is?”

“He's here Commander.” Wufei replied, checking his watch. They still had an hour and a half before they were due in to work, what was up?

“Good, could you inform him please that there is an Agent Jones here looking for him?”

Wufei froze, Jones was the name of Malcom's cheating ex-lover. What the hell was he doing looking for him? Wufei caught Malcom's eye as the man came out of the bathroom toweling his hair.

“We'll be in by nine Commander. We'll see you then.” Wufei hung up the phone.

“Is something wrong Wufei?” Malcom asked bending over for his shirt.

“That was Commander Une. There's an Agent Jones at head quarters looking for you.”

Malcom froze briefly, shirt half on. Swallowing, he straightened his clothes and avoided Wufei's eyes. “Oh?”

“Hey I'm here for you.” Wufei said grabbing Malcom's trembling shoulders. “I don't know why he's here but to get to you he has to get through me first.”

“I don't understand Wufei, I did what he asked, why is he still bothering me?”

“I don't know but we're not going to let him win are we? Come on, lets make a plan. We can put him down before he does anything.”

Malcom gave him a shaky grin. “God you must think I'm such a baby.”

Wufei shrugged, “Aw it makes you cute.” He quickly ducked the pillow headed his way. He playfully tackled Malcom to the bed before rolling off and sitting on the edge. “Well you know him better than I do so tell me what you think might be going on.”

“Okay.” Malcom rolled onto his stomach and began playing with a loose thread. “If he's here looking for me either he broke up with that girl back home or he's bored and looking for a little fun.”

“Seems an awful long way to come if your simply bored, so chances are he is single again and looking for as easy mark.” Wufei caught Malcom's flinch, “sorry.”

“Don't be, I won't be so easy to use this time.”

“Okay then assuming you don't want him back,” Wufei shrugged as Malcom glared at him, “had to ask. Alright what would be the quickest way to make him leave?”

“He might leave if I was seeing someone else. You know if I was in love with someone else he probably wouldn't put forth the effort to attract my attention.”

“Sounds plausible.” Wufei leaned back, drumming his fingers on the arm of the couch. “Bur where would we find someone willing to do this? They would have to know its not a real relationship and be willing to potentially do some intense acting if the situation calls for it.” He stared off into the distance, oblivious to the glances Malcom was sneaking his way.

“Who would be good to do it. Well I could always ask Maxwell, he's the kind of guy who could make it real without getting hurt.” He grinned, “although if I asked, Heero would kill me.” He chuckled and glanced down at Malcom.

“What?”

“Well how about you?” Malcom stumbled on as Wufei's jaw dropped. “Think about it, it would be in our favor if few people knew the truth and you know what you'd be doing. You wouldn't try to make anything real of the relationship cause your heart already belongs somewhere else.

Wufei froze. “Yes Wufei,” Malcom reached out and clasped his hand, “I know how you feel about your roommates. Its written all over your face.” Wufei turned frightened eyes towards him. “But only to those who know what to look for.” Malcom grinned, “maybe this could work in your benefit too. It might make them jealous enough to make a move.”

Wufei turned his blushing face away. “They already have each other what use would they have with me?”

“Well it'd make for a nice kinky threesome.” Malcom roared with laughter as Wufei clutched his bleeding nose and rushed to the bathroom. “I'm sorry Wufei but come on you must have through about it.” He giggled at the moans pouring from the bathroom. “Alright mate suck it up, we have to get to work.” He giggled again as a red-faced glaring Wufei stumbled down the hall grabbing his Preventor jacket along the way.

“Alright Malcom if we're going to do this, I don't want you mentioning the deal to Trowa and Quatre.”

“But Wufei if we don't they might get the wrong idea.”

Wufei shrugged, pain flashing briefly across his face. “Its time I let that little dream go. I don't want to hurt anymore. If that's the way their going to act every time someone shows a brief interest in me, accuse me of any nasty accusations they could think of, its time to move on.”

“Are you sure?” Malcom asked stopping at the door.

Wufei took a deep breath, “Yes its time.” Malcom swallowed the lump in his throat at the naked pain in his partner's eyes.

“Alright Wufei. Just remember I'm here for you now.” Wufei gave him a shaky smile and the two of them left the house.
