The Miracles of San Juan 3

"It's because I fell in love with you." It was the last thing I heard before falling down and bumping my head.

After who knows how long I woke up again with this really big, dizzy headache. I groaned in pain. All I wanted right now were some really strong pain killers!! No luck though because, after momentary forgetting where I was and what had happened, I heard his voice, and that sentence he had said quickly came back to my mind.

"Hey, feel better now?" he asked worried, and I was startled as I noticed that I wasn't in my hotel room anymore but on the beach. I don't know if you can understand how I was feeling right now. But well, try to. First you bang your head because a stranger, no, a miracle, that isn't human tells you he loves you. Then you wake up with a headache like a hangover and then you realize you don't even know where you are!! Maybe you can imagine now that I was frightened and very confused at the same time.

However, my fear took over and I quickly got up, my head protesting during every move (ouch!) and my legs complaining as well. Still, I tried to get away from him as soon as possible to have some time with me alone. I had to think about everything that had happened. It was when I was a few feet away from him that my head did this really annoying thing.

You know those detectors in shopping malls and shops in general, which, when you `forget' to pay your stuff, beep in this really annoying manner. Well, my head did eactly the same. Maybe you don't believe me now, but it was as if the closeness to Duo was like the shop for my brain, and as soon as I tried to leave, it beeped. Sometimes I wondered if my brain was actually thought to be mine, because it had played so many tricks on me by now.

Well, I gave up the process of walking away and wanted to sit down. However, my legs seemed to be still pissed off and didn't really help me, so instead of sitting down, I fell on my butt. Hard. Now, if anyone of you tries to say `sand is soft, it can't hurt' then I suggest that that person will mimick my actions and tell me the resolution afterwards. Not to forget that my head throbbed painful after the fall.

My train of thoughts was stopped as I heard footsteps approaching, muffled by the sand, followed by some worried comments.

"Hey, Heero, are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" I resisted the urge to say `bumping your butt usually hurts' and answered instead.

"Apart from my ass and a headache, I guess I'm fine." As soon as I was finished, he was by my side, giving me this really cute worried look.

"Sorry. Headache is my fault, hu? Anyway, I hope you're not too angry that I brought you here. The sea air is probably one of the best things against headache." He explained while lowering himself onto the place besides me. I shivered slightly as his body made contact with mine. And the thing he told me started to run around my head again, making me think how I was feeling about him.

`White meat!! White meat!!!' Said one part of my brain. The other one was silent for a few moments before `speaking' to me. `You know, you should list yourself all the pros and cons, then your body reactions and compare them with usual reactions of people who fell in love or have any feeling towards someone else.' That sounded quite good to me, but the other half interfered.

`Just look at him!! WHITE Meat!! White MEAT!!' It told me. I was feeling like one of these cartoons which have a little angel-like thingie at the left side of their head and a little red devil-like thingie at the other side whenever they don't know what to do. I ignored both of them for a moment and ended with the resolution that I still didn't know what to do.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Duo asked me while I was lost in my thoughts.

"Hu?"

"You're making a face… you look really tensed." Then he grinned, stood up, went around me until he was facing my back, then he sat down again and, without any warning, started to massage my shoulders.

"This will relax you a bit." He explained while loosening my really tensed muscles a bit. I couldn't surpress it and moaned in delight. It had been a long time since I had got a massage.

"Feels good," I murmured while Duo slowly began to move downwards. I tried to stop him, I really did, but my hands betrayed me and didn't move. Oh, you can't even imagine how …. Bad it is to have a betraying body.

"Heero?" Duo suddenly spoke up.

"Hmmmmmm?" I purred, wondering what Duo wanted to tell me now.

"Have you thought about the thing I've told you?" I answered without thinking.

"Well I guess you're right. My headache dissolved." Duo stopped the massage immediately and I could feel him staring. "What??" I asked innocently. After a short pause he continued his massage and spoke again.

" I didn't mean the sea air thingie. I was talking about the one thing that made you bump your head." I froze as he finished speaking, and I guess he could feel it somehow. Well, my muscles were all tensed up. Anyone would have noticed that.

"Not comfortable with the thing? Or why did your muscles stiffen like they did now?" He teased me. And, as if a miracle happened, my brain came along with a really brilliant answer!!!

"I have to think about it." I told him, and it seemed that it was just the answer that satisfied him. For now at least.

"Okay. Take your time, Heero." He told me before continuing his massage. And I relaxed completely under his touch, now that I had more time to think about him.
