Disclaimer: well I think its pretty clear id don't own any character from Inu yasha but all the oc's most definitely belong to me.

Ps: did you know that polka dots can be very disturbing, I had polka dot madness and that was no fun, I guess it was blamable at me being sick. Still I will never look at polka dots in the same manner. Be afraid be very afraid. ( huddles in a corner with holy water and a cross to ward of various object covered with polka dots.)

CHAPTER 5

Kouga was agitated and extremely so not only had his mother send him on a no beneficiary outing. Now that he was back she ad the guts to tell him that it was a stupid thing to have tried and that htye should prepare to fight.

Great first she told him that his going could be the key to solve everything with the Taka youkai and now that he was back with disappointed news she told him that he was stupid to think talking to them would have gained them anything. He would never understand woman and especially his mother.

prowling from the privet chamber his mother and her mate occupied Kagome went to the cabin entrance in search of Guuzen and Ginta. His friends could fill him in on everything that had happened while he was away, then he would seek out his younger brother and get a satisfactory update on all the things his mate had been up to.

The thought of Kagome calmed Kouga down and his irritations cooled somewhat. How he had longed to have her wake up with him beside her but alas it had not been allowed. His brother had come storming in that morning telling him his travel groups was awaiting him and what was keeping him.

Young Kibin's eyes had been curiously focused at the small form of the black haired girl wrapped around him. Kouga smiled when he remembered the next question his brother had come up with.

"she's pretty Kouga from what Sakura told me she sad supposed to be scared and at least have tree eyes, but still she was right about one thing she is human doesn't that bother you?" Kibin's voiced had been awed and his eyes had never left Kagome's face.

Scowling Kouga had unwrapped him self from the body of his mate and gone to the other side of the cave to fish some cloths from a pile of freshly washed garments. "No Kibin that doesn't bother me. You know what you could do something for me." Kouga began and from the corner of his eyes he could see a radiance glow and pride expression come of the younger kits face.

"what can I do Kouga just tell me." Kouga scowled at the high pitched voice filled with enthusiasm. "just look after her for me, make sure that she isn't bothered such things. I don't want her to feel more burdened then she already is that is bad for our cub."

Kibin's face fell. "you want me to baby sit, aww Kouga I'm old to be stuck watching over some girl." Kouga let out a snigger and fasten his dark brown fury obi to pushed his katana in place. "Now, now Kibin it's no dishonor to look over a woman and she is going to need it- Kouga's voice grew stern and troubled- already Sakura is dissing up stories about her I don't want her to here one thing about them and you are to make sure she is shielded from those poisons tongues." Kibin nodded and Kouga left the cave and his mate.

Outside the cabin stood thirteen ookami waiting for his arrival just like Kibin had told him, letting out a howl to tell them they were on the move Kouga broke unto a run to lead the group, but when he reached the highest point and he could see the small brown dot that was the cabin he stopped for just one heartbeat. "I'll be coming back my beautiful Kagome and than I'll start to make my dream girl truly mine."

While he whispered his promise the rest of the crew came in view and Kouga took of again to the high playgrounds the hawk demons considered there's.

Kouga stretched when he stepped outside the cabin his muscles were just a bit sour from extensive use. He had been to frustrated of late to take any notice of them but his carelessness came to kick him in the ass now. Letting out a low frustrated growl Kouga rolled his neck muscles and went for the hunting grounds his nose telling him that his friends were there.

Going into a slow trot Kouga reached the gathering rock all to soon and settled down on one of the roughly cut out edges in the big grey rock. Taking another whiff of air he smiled when he recognized Kibin's scent. Good he would catch two birds with one stone.

Letting the sun lull him into a daydream Kouga let his imagination take him to fantasies about his new mate. In one of his daydreams they were sitting before a roaring fire and Kagome was playing with there child every now and then she threw him a warm and loving gaze, making Kouga feel proud and fulfilled.

Of course his male imagination soon took him to more pleasurable fantasies all of whom would produce more children sooner of later. It was in one of those fantasies that he was awoken by his dear friend Ginta, as could be suspected Kouga wasn't to pleased.

"Don't do that." The irritated male snapped making his friend take a few well chosen steps back. "But Kouga I thought you wanted something from us since you came here." The last word was filled with a silent wonder.

It was quite clear that the three males around him had thought he would go to his mate before going anywhere else. Grumbling Kouga apologized. "I'm sorry but the trip didn't went to well and as to me being here I wanted to know how things faired before going into the situation." Guuzen nodded and plopped down on a soft grassy patch.

Ginta stall a bit unsure what to do followed slower and Kibin settled down an a higher ledge on the rock Kouga was using. "what do you want to now Kouga." Guuzen asked his voice soft.

Bristling Kouga fell quiet for a few seconds his brows knitted in thought then his bleu Safire eyes lighted up. "What do the woman say." The question in itself brought an appreciating smile to Guuzen's lips. "Very good question Kouga you are learning." The older wolf said his voice quivering with pleasure.

Waving his hand in anticipating Kouga focused his gaze on Guuzen and the older wolf sighed. "Well from what Tenshi has told me she and her friends have been busy to mellow Kagome's opinion on ookami youkai and of you in particular. So far they seemed to have turned her opinion that all wolf demon are scum as for you, Tenshi doesn't know what goes around in her head." The male shrugged his shoulders.

Kibin sad wriggling while Guuzen talked and the moment the older wolf shut up he jumped from his sitting place so that he was facing Kouga. "I can tell you something about Kagome oneesan. She doesn't mind wolfs and she actually loves playing with the younger cub's- his voice trailed of and his eyes grew vacant before he snapped back into the present ignoring the impatient look in Kouga's bleu eyes- bit she is sad and misses her human friends and family. She told me she has a younger brother and a mother, and she want to go to them. I think she could forgive you Kouga." Kibin suddenly blurted out.

The three older males looked at Kibin questionly raising there brows encouraging the kit to keep talking. Knitting his fingers together and looking down to avoid the sharp gazes Kibin looked like a six year old caught in a act of sneaking out late at night to raid the kitchen. "I just can't help but feel that she will forgive you, she isn't the person to hold a grudge for someone she loves- Kibin looked up and linked his eyes to Kouga's- if you make her fall in love she wont mind how she got here I'm sure of it." The young wolf finished his counseling.

For a moment all were silent until Kouga stepped from his seat and nodded a goodbye to the others. "thanks fro the help and Kibin- his younger brother turned to look at him- you've done great, thanks." With that parting shot Kouga left his friends to there hunting and made it back to the cabin.

There he asked around and found himself being pointed to the lower meadow. At first Kouga was surprised that Kagome would take the wolf children there until he remembered that the meadow was one of the best places to race and dig, the perfect place for high energy filled little wolfs.

Deciding he could take this one at a slow pace Kouga took in his surrounding. As always he marveled at the beauty of his home grounds, he was sure that no where on the entire globe there could be other places just as right, warm and so much his home as this place.

Taking the long route Kouga wondered past long forgotten places of his childhood until he came to the small hidden coven he had been wanted to visit before going to Kagome. This small place with it abundance of flowery bushes.

A small secretive smile crossed his full lips, this was the place he wanted to take Kagome most and if things turned out right he would in the future. But there were more important matters like getting Kagome to like him and failing was not an option he would risk losing the girl he had been dreaming about since he was old enough to remember his dreams.

Leaving the small secluded hot spring behind making sure the bushes covered the entrance he made Kouga set of for the meadow.

Coming down in the meadow Kouga made sure to keep out of eyesight he wanted to watch Kagome without her being aware he was watching her. He was surprised to see that his mate was no where in sight feeling a small stab of panic Kouga readied him self to rush into the meadow and ask the female wolf where Kagome was, he was stopped by Shinsetsu's voice.

"She's at Suki's, nothing to worry about just a check up… Shinsetsu's voice trailed off while she was left in a pile of dust from Kouga's abrupt departure. Shrugging her shoulders Shinsetsu went into the meadow waving at the two other females already busy with the children.

Letting out a few barks Shinsetsu changed in her wolf form and rushed into the middle of a few cubs playing hunter. The children attached themselves to her with enthusiasm and pulled her down soon only her tail was visible from the pile of children that screamed and yipped with glee.

Father up the hill Kouga could be seen running to the cabin his bleu eyes filled with worry while he made his way to Suki. He new the older she wolf well and admired her knowledge about herbs and healing but when it was about his own mate he wanted to be around. He knew this behavior was uncalled for but then male ookami never reacted sain when it was about there mates. One of the reasons why a male wolf was kept as far away from his female when she was giving birth.

When he reached the courtyard before the cabin Kouga was irritated that wolfs didn't get out of his way quick enough and ended pushing them out of the way completely death to the snarls and curses that got shot at his broad back.

Within the labyrinth of roads Kouga didn't bother looking at the pebbles in the wall bit instead followed the keen sense of his nose. It didn't take him to long to reach Suki's cave. There he stopped dead in his tracks unsure what to do until the scent of blood hid his nose.

A red haze covered his eyes and Kouga pounced into the cave giving everybody a start at the other site. Several wounded wolfs looked up amazed to see there prince pounce into a room with such abruptness, but what was most weird was to see him so completely out of control.

From one of the adjoining caves Tenshi appeared rushing into the room with a piece of fabric in her hands. Rushing over to the prince pushed the small piece of cloth in Kouga's face covering his nose with it.

After a few tense moments Kouga calmed down and the red haze covering his eyes vanished leaving nothing but his bright bleu eyes to be seen. Letting out a relieved breath Tenshi handed Kouga the cloth and stepped back.

Holding a finger against her mouth Tenshi waved Kouga to one of the empty caves. The moment they entered Tenshi released some of the tension she had been holding, that had been a close call.

"Why do you lead me away from my mate Tenshi?" Kouga grumbled the small piece of cloth hold in his fist. Tenshi let out a sigh then waved when Kouga made a attempt to leave the cave.

"Don't go. Suki is doing some checks on the babies progress. She just wants to make sure everything is going as it should be after all she is only the second human pregnant of a youkai- Tenshi walked over to a low bench standing against the wall her eyes on Kouga, to her satisfaction the prince was listening to her with keen attention- as you know it is harder for humans to give birth to a demon, for one there bodies are just not made for these kind of birth. Therefore not every human can go through a demon pregnancy most of them would even die."

Kouga bristled at that and made another attempt to go to Kagome his nose telling him she wasn't feeling all to comfortable at the moment. But a small gesture of Tenshi stopped him. "Wait I wasn't finished yet. Most humans would die of such pregnancies but Suki has already confirmed that Kagome is more than up to it, in fact Suki says that she has never thought such examples of human woman could exist, like Kagome had been meant to be mated to a youkai."

Tenshi looked away from Kouga and missed the small smile that crossed his lips when she said meant to be. So maybe his dreams had been premonitions about his future who was to say it wasn't so.

Raising his hand with the small piece of cloth he held it against his nose and took in a deep sniff filed with his mates alluring scent. Lowering his fist he looked at Tenshi. "tell me how can I win her for me?"

Tenshi looked up her eyes showing surprise at this question, but she had everything back under control quick enough. "Just stay away for today Kagome is a bit upset for going through the examination. Wait for her to sleep tonight when you go to bed and start trying to win her the first thing in the morning. I would advice a taking her to the hot pool when there is no one there Kagome likes taking a bath and bring her some food, she is rather fond of eggs and sausages- Tenshi drew her self up and her finger was pointed at Kouga's chest in the fashion of a teacher scolding her student- and most of all don't do anything rush after what happened you need to walk on egg shells to win her over, but I think it can be done but only if you use patients and lots of it."

Placing her arms beside her Tenshi stood up and left the cave giving Kouga a small pat of encouragement. He was going to need it, everybody knew that prince Kouga wasn't the most patient male around.

When the older female was out of sight Kouga slowly walked back into the cave with waiting patients. Using stealth he wondered to the entrance of the cave Kagome was and took a peek inside. A big proud smile covered his mouth when he saw his little mate. She was laying on a smooth rock table in the middle of the room her eyes flashing a electric bleu at Suki while Inuzuma stood by her shoulder holding her down.

"Take it easy Kagome Suki knows what she is doing and believe me it was necessary. Think of it this way it happens only one time each pregnancy." Inuzuma whispered at the angered girl. Her attempt in reassuring Kagome however was a lost cause.

"Once every pregnancy, it shouldn't even happen at all. Never in my whole live have I learned or read that this happened." Kagome sputtered while she tried to free her self from the hold Inuzuma had on her.

At the other side of the cave Tenshi and Suki stood whispering among themselves and from the looks Suki kept throwing in Kagome's direction Kouga could tell that she didn't quite understood the human girl.

How Kouga longed to go inside the cave and go to his mate to calm her down with sweet words and caresses but Tenshi had told him to wait until morning and he knew that when the older woman had said it, it was probably the best plan.

Ripping him self away from the sight of his mate Kouga left the `hospital' for what it was and started to wondered what he would do with Kagome coming morning. He had a whole day to come up with something dazzling and he wanted it to be just perfect.

"Even if we had a bad start Kagome I will find a way to make you mine body and soul- Kouga whispered while he headed for the kitchen's store room- you were meant for me and there is no escaping faith."

Feeling a little bit more sure Kouga came into the dark rooms that were used as kitchen when the weather outside was to bad. Just in the back was a small door with a long row of caves that held the more rare supplies a wicked smile crossed his lips. Kagome wouldn't know what had hit here tomorrow when he was done with her and things went right he was one step closer to winning her fro him.

::::: A/n: well next chapter done and as I promised it was all about Kouga. It seems that Kagome isn't the first human who landed pregnant by a youkai I wonder if you can guess who the other is. Anyway next chapter the long awaited Kagome/ Kouga fluff. Yes ladies and gentlemen fluff. (or at least Kouga's attempt at fluff)
