Chapter 8: The Boar

"Naraku! You were right! InuYasha has fallen for her." Kagura watched as Narakus' shoulders tensed and continued. "And he's mated her."

Naraku said nothing so she continued. "She's pregnant too."

Naraku shot her an angry look then relaxed. "Worry not, she will be mine, this is just a minor setback, keep an eye on them." Naraku turned his back to her and stared out the window.

When Kagura bowed and turned to leave he stopped her. "And Kagura, dispose of the filth within her womb."

"As you wish." She said with a bow and left.

"InuYasha!!!" Shippo screamed as he ran through the said half demons forest. *THWACK* Shippo was thrown against a tree and was knocked unconscious but not before he saw a flash of red run past him.

"Kagome where is it?"

"It's in his lower back!" she called back as she stared at the giant boar that had been chasing Shippo.

Kagome saw Shippo lying on the ground motionless and ran towards him. `Please don't be dead Shippo!'

"You bastard! You hurt my son!" InuYasha pissed to say the least. `This fucking piece of shit hurt my son! He's gonna regret it.'

InuYasha lunged at the boar and slashed his claws into its face ripping flesh and splattering blood across the ground. Hot blood dripped from his claws as he watched in horror as the boar in a blind rage screamed and spewed a scarlet red liquid right at Kagome and Shippo.

Kagome through herself in front of Shippo and was hit full force by the poisonous liquid in the back.

She cried out in shear pain as the acid like liquid ate away at her clothes and skin. She gritted her teeth and clenched her shut, cracking one open only to look down at Shippo.

"NO!" InuYasha drew Tetsusaiga and obliterated the boar in one swing. The shard flew through the air and landed in his hand, he ran to Kagome's crouched form and collapsed to his knees splashing in the small pool of blood that had formed.

He stared at her back and trembled, her clothes were nearly all gone and the once smooth skin of her back was now covered in deep welts and cuts where the acidic liquid ate away her flesh like tiny knives ripping through paper.

"Kagome?" he uttered breathlessly.

Kagome slowly turned her head to look at him with dead eyes that screamed in her inner turmoil and passed out.

"Kagome" whispered a man from within the darkness around her.

"Hello?" Kagome's voice echoed.

"You look just like her…but different…you're more… beautiful."

"Who are you!" she called out at her surroundings.

"Don't you know?" the man's voice replied.

"Well if I knew, I wouldn't be asking." She let the sarcasm drip from her voice.

The invisible man laughed and moved closer. Kagome soon felt two hands on her shoulders that slowly ran down the length of her arms.

Kagome gasped and spun around to see who was touching her but no one was there. She panicked and back away, her breath becoming heavier with every step as she looked around. Kagome backed into something solid and abruptly turned around to find nothing again.

"Who the hell are you!"

"You will soon know my love, patience, is a virtue."

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"You'll soon find out, but for now, I'll have you here."

"Where is here!"

"Your dreams my dear. So right now, I control your dreams and you're all mine."

"No! Get out of my head! InuYasha! Help!"

The invisible man laughed. "He can't help you, no one can!" he laughed again. "And as soon as that bastards child is gone you will be mine!"

"Shut up!" she screamed. ""Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Shut up!"

Kagome awoke screaming for InuYasha, breathing hard, in a cold sweat, and in extreme pain. The first thing she heard was Keade trying to calm her.

"Kagome calm down calm down, it's gonna be ok, InuYasha will be back soon." Keade comforted her best she could while she pat the sweat from Kagome's forehead.

"Where's InuYasha!" she cried out as she began sobbing.

"InuYasha!" Miroku yelled out to his friend.

InuYasha looked towards him and replied dejectedly. "What is it?"

"We only have one more thing to get on the Keade gave us, and in order to get it we have to climb up that mountain." InuYasha looked towards the mountain in which Miroku pointed and thought for a minuet.

"Go back to Keade's, I'll go get the last herb."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes no go! Keade will be able to start the remedy and by time I return I'll be able to put it on Kagome's back."

"Alright." With that Miroku turned and jumped atop Kirara and they flew back to Keade's.

`Hold on Kagome, I'll be there soon." InuYasha hadn't wanted to leave Kagome's side but Keade made it a point that he and Miroku would be able to get the herbs she needed the fastest and that he wouldn't be helping her any by sitting around, so he left with the monk. `Kami's I miss her, I'll never forgive myself if she dies.' InuYasha ran faster towards the mountain.

"Keade! Here are the herbs, InuYasha went to get the last one, where's Sango and Shippo?"

"Good, start mixing them together over there, Kagome's fever has gotten worse he'd better hurry, and Sango is out back looking after Shippo."

Miroku nodded and got to work mixing the herbs together.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~2 hours later~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Damn fucking mountain! Why in seven hells did this damn weed have to be so fucking far away!" he ranted as he ran through his self-titled forest towards Keade's village when he skidded to a halt.

"InuYasha!!!" his heart skipped a beat as Kagome's voice echoed in his ears. "Kagome! I'm coming!" InuYasha ran as fast as he could back to Keade's hut.

InuYasha arrived at Keade's hut just as said hut owner opened the door flap and grab the herb out of his hand.

"Kagome!" InuYasha ran to her side.

"InuYasha!" she sobbed. "InuYasha it hurts!" Kagome wished she could just stay unconscious because even if she had to let the body less man molest her, she wouldn't have to feel like her body was on fire and that her skin was melting off. "Make it stop!" she screamed.

"Hang on Kagome, I know it hurts, I'll make it stop in a minuet." InuYasha glanced at Keade who was walking quickly towards them.

"Here! Hurry spread on her back where ever there's an open wound."

InuYasha took the small bowl of green liquid and stared at Kagome's back, it had gotten worse while he'd been gone and he didn't even know where he was supposed to start, her whole back was an open wound.

As if Keade read his mind she snapped him out of his trance. "Start from the top and spread it downwards." Keade sat in front of Kagome after calling for Miroku.

"Miroku, go help Sango keep Shippo outside, he is not to come inside until I say so." Miroku nodded and ran outside.

Keade turned to face Kagome who was going quite pale, her hands were like ice and slightly clammy. " Kagome, take my hands and bite down on this bit, this is going to hurt, a lot.

"Keade, please I need InuYasha in front of me, to keep me from hurting you or myself." Keade nodded and replaced InuYasha behind her.

InuYasha sat down in front of Kagome and kissed her sweat-beaded forehead. "It's going to be ok now koishii."

Kagome looked up at him and smiled weakly before putting the bit in her mouth, squeezed InuYasha's hands tightly, closed her eyes, and said from behind the bit a short command to Keade. "Do it now!"

Keade spread the putty like green liquid over her back and let silent tear run down her cheeks and Kagome screamed in agony and burst into tears.

It was all InuYasha could do not to pull her into his embrace but he knew he would only hurt her more so all he could do was talk to her and try to reassure her.

"It almost over koishii, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault, it's so sorry!" Kagome screamed again and leaned in closer towards InuYasha as he grip became tighter.

Keade finished and wrapped her back with bandages. "I'm done InuYasha, she needs rest, take the back room, it has a lock to keep Shippo out until tomorrow."

InuYasha nodded and carefully carried an unconscious Kagome to the back room where he locked the door.

He laid her down on the futon on her stomach and laid down next to her, he watched her sleep and smiled softly as he brushed the hair from her hot and sweaty face, and ran his fingers slowly down her jawbone.

"I'm so sorry Kagome." InuYasha wiped away the tearstains on her cheeks with his thumb and felt his nose tingle and suddenly realized what was happening to him for the first time in 67 years.

He was crying.

Dem: * Sniffles! * Dramatic! Wasn't it! Yea well anyways, I'm going outside now it's 1am and some of my friends are over having a bonfire so I'll catch yea later! * Wink *
